So this place is wonderful and I am not sure what’s up with the one star reviews. The staff is fun and they are a joy to chat with. After two visits it was like I was the dude from cheers and they all knew my name. Top it off with they listen to you when you are ordering. The whole listening to my order beats the rest of them I have visited in reno by a long shot in of itself. Then add I’m not talking to a robot behind the counter. Simply delightful.

While I don’t think Subway is all that great to begin with, this one is open 24 hours and is close to my house, but it has the some of the least enthusiastic employees ever. And it always seems they are out of a lot of pretty standard things. Last time it was onions, they were out of onions. One time I heard one employee tell another employee that they were out of meatballs for the night because she didn’t want to open a new one. I just get the feeling that no one there really cares.

I am a Subway convert, and as with any convert I’m zealous. To be honest how hard can it really be to build a sandwich when you have a map and limited choices. I would say fairly simple except in the instance of my experience last night at this particular Subway. We went in to order 3 foot long Spicy Italian sandwiches, only to be informed that they were out of pepperoni and salami, the 2 mandatory ingredients for that particular sandwich. How does a sandwich shop with only 6 or 7 meat choices run out of 2 of them? So my son asked if we could get a discount on more expensive sandwiches, which was greeted with doe in the head lights then I’ll have to call my manger. which after several minutes of trying to locate the phone number for the manger a response was returned that they could discount ONE sandwich only. We came in for 3 and left with none. I guess in their books a $ 0.00 sale is better than a $ 4.00 or $ 5.00 discount for inconvenience. So someone else got my $ 25.00 last night.
