If you are looking for great pizza with unique flavor combinations this is the place to go. And their pizzas are always fresh out of their stone oven. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is fast and efficient. I was timid to try the pizzas without cheese… Because I strongly believe that every pizza should have cheese. Much to my surprise it was very delightful.

This place is terrible. Service is horrible. I asked if they had gluten free crust and they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. The ratings appeared good. Maybe I’m just used to the pizza in Orange County. This place would never survive!

Wow, just wow. The salumi platter was great. The cheese platter was even better, especially the blue cheese. And then… Wow, just wow. That pizza dough is the best I’ve had in the US. A pizza that would put many Italian restaurants in Italy to shame. Just get a pizza, and thank me(and them)!

I love their bacon! They definitely make great pizzas on thin crusts that save me calories! Ask about their specials because they’ve always been just that… special =)

Went in for the first time last Saturday, 2÷6÷16. ANY place that gets a good review from the local, legendary, noted foodie & dear friend, Dave Preston, is a place I want to try( )! Being originally from New York City, I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob. I’ve only had pizza at one place in the area that measured up to my standards, and unfortunately, they closed their doors a while back. Not to say that pizza around here is bad, it just doesn’t come close to what I’m used to & enjoy. Boy, was I pleasantly pleased! When we walked in, the place was bustling… cooks were making pizzas at the bar/counter right in front of the beautiful Ferrera wood fired oven. I loved the energy & the smells were tantalizing! The hostess seated us immediately & our waiter appeared right away to drop off a small bowl of Chickpeas to start with that were seasoned deliciously, as well as to take our drink orders. I, of course, ordered my usual… an IPA. They didn’t have any IPA’s I was familiar with, but, our waiter assured me that I’d like this one… he was right. No appetizers… I was there for the pizza. My girlfriend ordered the special: «The Potlatch Pie. EVOO, Parm, Lemon, Ricotta, Mozzarella & Red Onion. Finished with Candied Smoked Salmon, Micro Greens and Mikes Hot Honey”-$ 17(?). My taste was an eye opener! I’ve never had a pie quite like this creation… very tasty & completely non-traditional. I had one of their«Guest Inspired Pizzas»: «Campo. Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, Hot Sopressata, Niman Ranch Bacon, SarVecchio Parmesan & Sea Salt”-$ 17. Very nice! What decent NYC boy can resist Hot Sopresatta? The toppings were delicious & I enjoyed the crust… not as crispy as I’d like(otherwise, I’d give them 5 stars), but, the wood fired taste was exceptional. The waiter, as well as the owners, touched on our table the right amount of times, making this a great evening of fine pizza. I’ll be back. [Exceptional service note: both my girlfriend & I forgot our glasses… one of the owners grabbed 2 spare pairs of readers to help us see the menu… LOL…as I said… exceptional service]

Absolutely AMAZING pizza and everything else!!! The pizza is not very large and a bit pricey, but worth every bite! They have delicious and out of the ordinary flavor options that are fantastic! The little garbanzo beans salad appetizer they bring you is delicious and all server are very courteous! :)

We had lunch st South Creek Pizza while in Reno. Being born in NY love old fashion pizza for all the pizza lovers as myself. Since being married to my wife she loves the upscale pizza places that serve gluten Vegan non red sauce pies. The good news love to eat and therefore will try anything. 1st like to say that if they are offering the ribs as an appetizer you must and I mean must order them. The are rubbed with a sweet little spicy sauce and you get three huge ribs. They were awesome. I would not order meatballs, sorry South Creek, RPM in Chicago have the best prime steak meatballs in America. If you are a traditionalist pie eater(non New Yorkers-pizza). The classic South Creek Pizza was have to admit outstanding. It had tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, red peppers, and Italian sausage. What made it great was the Ricotta on it! Wow!!! The dough was nice and soft to allow you to bend it eat all those wonderful ingredients per bite. The person that works with me ordered the chicken salad and lunch portion was huge. Finally, I do love desserts. Therefore ordered the gelato that just melted in my mouth. I would definitely make this place a destination spot when visiting Reno Thx

This update is long overdue! SouthCreek has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Reno because of the delicious food, casual atmosphere, and great service. My husband and I like coming in here to share a pizza, a salad and drink some good wine on tap. Southcreek pizza is high quality and unlike most pizzas in reno, it is thin crust and fired quickly in a brick oven, giving the crust a nice char. The toppings really stand out on the pizza because the crust is so thin and complementary. Some of our favorite pizzas include the Linda(with lemon and ricotta) and the Paulie G. All of the salads are delicious as well with really fresh high quality ingredients. Now, let’s chat appetizers because if you haven’t indulged in the fried mortadella and the ribs, you are seriously missing out! This dishes are both unique and a perfect blend of crisp salty meaty goodness. I see families in here, couples of all ages, and groups of friends out to dinner — very welcoming atmosphere with great food — and in south reno! What could be better?

Ok, I am a couple days late in posting but I have to give praise for South Creek Pizza! We tried it for the first time Tuesday night for my husbands birthday. First of all the happily accommodated an impromptu party of what turned out to be 12. The service by all was great but especially or server Ben. He was attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and very pleasant. When I asked his name he told me, and then asked mine. I thought that was cool, not sure a server has been very asked me before, bartender yes, server ?.? The beer was terrific. The food was outstanding! The food was original, well presented, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they use high quality products. Great experience and we will definitely go back, even though it is on the opposite end of town. If you have not been, I suggest you go! Thank you South Creek Pizza!

Although the food was good, what I come away from this place with is a sense that they are super stingy with the ingredients. My margarita pizza with added grape tomatoes I paid extra for amounted to 3 tomatoes cut in half. My daughters cheese pizza was mostly sauce(which most kids want less of not more) and the fire roasted green beans were absolutely swimming in a pool of olive oil(not stingy with the oil). The table assistant(?) asked if we wanted fresh parmigiano cheese. I thought he would grate some over our dishes, but instead he came back with a tiny plate with maybe one tablespoon worth for all of us to share. This place is not going on my favorite list.

I’ve been coming here since it first opened. I’ve been happy every single time. My absolute favorite thing is actually an appetizer. The green beans. They are phenomenal. Full of flavor, kind of spicy, crispy, and dripping in a flavor infused olive oil. I order them with a side of pizza points to scoop up all of the left over spices and oil. The vegan Garden pizza is my go to. Their sauce is wonderful but their crust stands alone on this pizza using a honey mustard tossed arugula. I can finish a whole one. My husband and youngest son swear by the Campo. My oldest son loves the Nomad. His favorite part is when they crack the yolk and drizzle it over the entire pizza. The shrimp appetizer should always be ordered double or everyone will fight over it. The waiters have always been so friendly and helpful with my allergies. This is a safe place for me to eat being vegan and lactose intolerant. The owners always come by my table to check in. I absolutely love and recommend this place. 12.05.15 just returned for dinner. Just as good as always. Best staff. Superb food.

For a New Yorker and then a Chicago resident for the last 7 years I was a little skeptical about trying Nevada pizza. Wow was I wrong! This place is amazing! Wood fire grilled pizza, Naples style. I ate the«Paulie Gee» pizza and I have found my new true love! You must try the dessert pizza as well… Nutella and sliced bananas in a warm pizza crust, stuffed! Yum!

Hands down the best! The Campo had a perfect ratio between toppings and dough, a little charred but they use a wood fired oven so it’s going to happen(basically quit bitching about it) a unique beer selection & the Dessert pizza, all for $ 36.63 + $ 6 tip =$ 42.63 Well worth it & the service was great! *The dessert pizza was a little cold & there is a little room for improvement. Solid 4 starts, no doubt

I came here last with my BF as we were in the area and figured hey let’s give this South Creek Pizza another shot. The place was packed and noise level pretty high. I needed to yell at the server to get him to hear me. You can order house wine by the carafe here, I think it comes out to a little more than a full bottle in ounces. We got the red for $ 26. Tasting the wine, well, I’m not sure it’s worth $ 26, but it was better than the carafe of wine I got for $ 8.00 at the Chinese buffet! We decide not to get too stuffed and just got one pizza. Getting one pizza per person is a bit piggy… I know, I’ve done it before. We decided on the Paulie Gee… funny name but sounded good. I’m gonna have to agree with some of the other reviews about the pizza being soggy in the middle. I’ve been here a few times and it’s mostly always the same. I think once it seemed OK. I spoke to the chef about it once and he said that’s just the way it is and he has the oven super hot, and that’s the Italian style he is doing. He gets the outer crust to blister, but it may be the toppings that make the middle droopy when you pick it up. I dunno, maybe you are suppose to eat it with a knife and fork! The service is fine usually, but our server tonight was a bit aloof. The food and drinks really add up in price. Yes, this is not a kids pizza parlor with video games, thank god for that! There is an extensive wine list. I suppose the pricing here goes with the higher income neighborhood of this location. I say if you want super thin crust pizza, which is the style here, go to Sierra Gold and get a bigger nicer thin crust pizza for around $ 10.50 at happy hour everyday! Just shows, you can have thin crust and not have a droopy center. Droopy anything is not what we want, right? Plus the prices are more mainstream. So, if you are upper crust society and want to show off, this place might suit your needs, but us regular folks might rather have a better pizza for a cheaper price elsewhere. One good thing was though, I didn’t see any ball caps and tank tops on hairy guys with barbed wire tattoos in here. Upscale fashion and people are the clientele here, and I do like that, but just wish the prices were cheaper.

I’m a total pizza snob and am a sucker for authentic style margherita. South creek has the best in town that I’ve discovered thus far! I like to go during happy hour because it is only $ 10 for a good sized pizza. I usually devour one on my own, but you may be happy sharing with a friend if you have a salad or appetizer as well. No complaints here– the crust, sauce, and cheese are outstanding. I’m terrified to try anything else on the menu because this pizza is just too good to pass up. I’ve had some trouble with their hours. To my surprise they used to be closed for lunch, which I understand has changed. They’re also closed on Mondays. I’ve arrived excited for pizza only to be disappointed by a big fat closed sign. They also tend to take long holiday breaks. For example I visited July 3rd and learned they were closed for at least a week. I have found my self calling ahead to make sure they’re actually open. They offer friendly service and have a clean and cute little restaurant. Can’t wait to visit them again!

One of the best pizzas I have had in Reno. They make a great thin crust wood fired pizza. It was a nice balance between crispy and chewy and it was light and tasty. The toppings were fresh and very flavorful. We came here for dinner with friends. The dining room was very very busy, but they were able to snag a table by the time we arrived. The menu offers a nice variety of wines and beers and a delicious array of artisan pizzas. We decided on the Campo and the Smoke Creek. Our dining companions ordered salads, and they graciously shared. The Wedge Salad was amazing. The atmosphere is comfy and casual, a bit noisy, and friendly. They do not take reservations for parties less than six, so you may have to wait when they are busy. As good as this place is, I would imagine it is usually busy.

We picked up some food to go on our way to BeerNV. The hostess was fantastic and helped us get our food order in even though their ovens were at capacity. She also gave us a call when our food was ready so we could go enjoy a beer in the meantime. We ordered the classic pizza and a caesar salad(it was a nice touch that I could add anchovies), and the dressing was so flavorful it was almost too much. The pizza was deliciously charred, the toppings were fresh and delicious. The size of the pizza and salad was perfect for two people who weren’t super hungry. My one criticism, and this goes back to my dislike of DIY salads: Food to go is served in styrofoam containers(the environment cries a little when this happens), and because the lettuce for the salad isn’t cut or mixed, it gets really difficult to eat with a flimsy plastic fork and knife. While I understand that some people like this, for to-go orders at least it wold be nice if they at least cut the lettuce beforehand. This is definitely a great place to pick up food before an adventure to BeerNV, an experience I’d definitely recommend.

All year round a great pizza spot if your looking for Italian wood fired pizza. But my absolute favorite on a cold winter day because you can sit at the counter and watch the guys fix you pizza and stay toasty warm from the heat coming out of the oven. It’s a thin crust pie but not real crispy. Easy on the toppings but all the ingredients are fresh. They even make their own mozzarella. You’ll find some wonderful unique toppings like arugula, pears, honey and Gorgonzola. The Margarita is a great simple pizza to share. If your really really hungry, don’t worry, it only takes about 90 seconds in that oven to cook your pizza. They also offer small plates, charcuterie and salads. Loose the old chain pizza spots and try real fresh simple ingredients — try a South Creek Pizza

My fiancé and I had some not-so-great pizza a couple weeks back and, after that let down, I was in need of a rebound. Michael told me to come here, so I obliged. Community Managers know best, y’all; he wasn’t lying! Just as a disclaimer, I will state that these guys aren’t cheap. For an appetizer, salad, two pizzas, and a dessert, we paid roughly $ 67(including tip). In their defense, however, that’s a decent amount of food and it was BOMB(with the exception of the dessert pizza, which I will get to later.) Kyle wanted to order the ribs which I was very hesitant about. I’m from the south; we cook meat amazingly. But, after eating the best steak I’ve ever had at Harrah’s in town, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. The ribs were slow cooked for 3 hours and seemed liked they had both a dry rub and a tangy sauce on top. The portion comes with 3 ribs and they were flavorful, tender, and juicy. Perfect blend of sweet and hot. I would highly recommend them. I ordered the Wedge Salad because I am obsessed with them. Every place I go to and order this, I am always let down. SouthCreek, you put up a good fight. The salad was a nice size and came with homemade Blue Cheese dressing, grape tomatoes, Blue cheese, bacon, and of course Iceberg lettuce. I am really not a fan of Blue Cheese, but I genuinely enjoyed this; it was not overpowering in any way. The lettuce was crunchy and crisp, the bacon fatty and salty, and the tomatoes plump. The dressing was also creamy and delicious! My only complaint about this salad was that there was definitely too much dressing; I took a picture to prove how much was left over. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some dressing, but they needed to chill just a little bit. Still, I was overall impressed. If I want a wedge salad, SouthCreek will fit the bill. For entrees, we ordered the Ranchero(on the«specials» menu) and Afterburner Pizza, splitting them so we could taste each one. The Ranchero had cheese, bacon, Arugula, and a chipotle dressing on top. It kind of reminded me of a salad. It was light and delicious. The Afterburner comes with meatballs, tomatoes, cheese, red onions, basil, and a side of hot chopped cherry peppers. The Afterburner pizza is right on the money. Acidic, crunchy from the crust, sweet from the onions, and a sweet and hot note from the peppers. Absolutely a perfect pizza in my eyes. I would eat this every day and not get tired of it. Because we hadn’t had enough, we opted for the Dessert Pizza, which unfortunately was a bit of a let down. The crust was crunchy, but it wasn’t hot at all! The nutella inside was scarce, but there were plenty of bananas. If this were just heated up, it would have been much better. I know for sure my fiancé and I will be back to visit. This food is just too good to pass up(except the dessert pizza; do pass that up!).

Why have I waited so long to check this place out. YUMMY!!! We ordered the Campo pizza and it was so so good. The crust is fantastic and the meatballs are awesome(we actually had them add meatballs to the pizza). The crust… did I mention it is so crispy and delicious? Oh yeah… I did. Our server was great. He was really friendly and attentive. He was so happy it kind of freaked me out(in a good way). All of the staff there seemed to be happy and they were all friendly. Everyone around us was getting the same friendly and efficient service that we were. The only complaint I have is that house pinot gris was meh. I know I shouldn’t expect much if I order the house wine but every once in a while you get a nice surprise when ordering house wine. Can’t wait to come back here and try another nifty creation from SouthCreek. I wish they were a bit closer to Sparks but they are definitely worth the drive.
