Food is ok at best and the help is extremely rude. definetly not worth going back when the person taking your order is rude and snappy. I must of interrupted her smoking her cig. Didn’t get her name but she is older with brownish gray hair. Also they don’t honor their prices online. 60 wings for $ 30. instead you pay $ 10 for a dozen wings. Sad experience. they use to be so good too.

Friend said it had good wings so sure why not, snowed in at home its close by so lets get some good wings and enjoy the snow, Bad idea. There was no sauce on the wings, medium tasted mild and nitro tasted like medium sauce. Fries were under cooked and greasy, the potatoe skins were worse, they looked like they were left over from saturday morning, soggy brown greasy and no flavor. No wonder the food was ready when we got there, all bagged and ready to go, they said 20 minutes we got there in 15. Avoid the food, stop for a drink.

I just had a burger from sneakers in stead that was just the biggest tastiest perfect Friday night don’t want to cook guilty pleasure I could have wanted. My husband and I have ordered from hear plenty of times before and the food is always good but the double cheese burgers tonight where amazing. Thank you for the great food and always pleasant accommodating service. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.

This used to be one of our favorite places in the North Valleys, but since they hired a GM and changed the menu, the food has really gone downhill. Yesterday really proved that point. We had the chicken wings for an appetizer, and they no longer have the creamy garlic sauce, it’s «spicy garlic» now, and we really couldn’t taste any garlic at all, just spice. At least they cooked them as we like them, dry and extra crispy. That’s about all they got right. I’ve always loved their patty melts, but I decided to try a bacon blue burger.(I had one at Flowing Tide a while back, and absolutely loved it.) This time, not so much. The burger had some wierd off taste, and it was so gooey from mayo and stuff, it was just a mess to eat. I had about three bites, and put it down. I always ask for extra crispy fries, but these were anything but. I hear they are making their own now, but they were just awful, Soggy, limp, and greasy, they were so far from crispy, they might as well have been frozen from a bag. They had their skins, but nothing else going for them. My husband ordered my beloved patty melt, and oh boy, have they ruined that, too. It wasn’t grilled, it looked like it usually is, it looked like it was toasted, way to ruin a good patty melt! Needless to say, his fries were just as pathetic as mine! Oh, and the price for our less than stellar lunch? With two orders of wings to take home, one beer, one glass of wine, and two burgers, plus another order of wings? $ 71 with tip! Seriously??? I think we’ll be taking our business elsewhere from now on, Sneakers has lost us, with subpar food, way too expensive prices, and a revolving door of employees that no longer knows or cares about us, they way they used to. See ‘ya, Sneakers!

Not happy with our experience today — went there to watch football game — I have a bad back and cannot sit on a regular bar stool — so moved a stool over from the bar that has a back to it ! The owner said that those were reserved for the people who are gambling! Really ?? So I guess people who are eating and drinking don’t deserve to be comfortable! If we had not already ordered we would of left!

It’s a smoky dive bar with average to sub par bar food. The pours are kinda weak and the atmosphere isn’t great. We’ve been here a couple of times due to the ol’ real estate adage; location, location, location to a couple of our friends. Let’s be honest, you’re coming here because you’re out here, You’re not looking for advice from Unilocal

This place needs to learn how to properly make an edible chicken wing. They overcook them to the point that they are dry and hard as rocks. Can it really be that difficult?

Simply put: Awful. My wife and I are new to the North Valleys, and we were looking to order some take out. There are not many non-fast food places here in the North Valleys, but I’ve eaten at other Sneakers locations in Reno(namely by the airport off of McCarran) that were okay, so I suggested it as a dinner option. Big mistake, and later that night I found myself apologizing to my wife. We ordered two burgers(an Ortega and a Double Cheeseburger) and an order of mozzarella sticks. My wife said that the Ortega burger hardly had any flavor, and that the chili itself was incredibly bland. As for the Double Cheeseburger(that the guy on the phone insisted they didn’t even have on the menu at first, though it was on their online menu), it was alright. Nothing special, but not bad. However, both burgers were absolutely doused in mounds of mayonnaise. I happen to like mayo, but not this much. The beef and cheese were great, but the mayo had to be scraped off to make it bearable. My wife is not a fan of mayo, and also had to scrape it off and add mustard to it. We were amazed that there was neither mustard nor ketchup on either of the burgers and at the over-compensation of mayo oozing out of the burger on both the top and bottom. Should probably put a note on the menu about them being mayo burgers with a side of beef, that would be nice to know. The mozzarella sticks were … okay. They were nothing special, either, but at least they were cooked properly and slightly larger than most places, so definitely edible. When I arrived at this dirty dive to pick up the food and entered inside, the place reeked of cigarettes. I could hardly stand it. I’m a former smoker, so I’m used to it and usually don’t mind smoke(my wife wouldn’t last 15 seconds in here), but this place was horrid. I swear, I could taste it on my tongue, like I was in an ashtray(I know that’s cliché, but there really is no better way to put it, the stench was so powerful). The bartender never even said hello, and seemed bothered that I was there to interrupt his casual talk with friends for actual business. Overall, knowing what to expect now, I probably would have ordered here again if it weren’t for their to-go ordering policies and the bartender’s attitude. Seriously? Are you and your unkept facial hair too cool for me? Apparently, when you order to-go food, you aren’t entitled to any ranch for your fries, but if you eat at the restaurant you can get as much as you want(as well as ketchup). When I saw we had only one tiny cup of ranch, about two table spoons worth(barely enough for cheese sticks), asked if I could get some ranch. The bartender said«sure, that’ll be 75 cents!» I was like«uh, what?» and he said«it’s 75 cents for every cup, and I already gave you ranch.» I said«but I have three meals here, one little cup isn’t enough» to which he replied with«only the cheese sticks come with ranch, you don’t get anything for fries.» I mean, really? Seriously? .75 cents for an amount of ranch that costs you less than 5 cents to make, in a little plastic cup that anybody can get 50 of for $ 1 at Walmart(so you know they can get them cheaper than 2 cents a piece when buying in bulk). What’s up with that? What a stupid, stupid policy. This is all on top of every single order to-go costs 50 cents extra. Not 50 cents added to your TOTAL bill, but 50 cents for every item that you order. So, because I ordered to-go, I paid an extra $ 1.50(even though I’m not around to eat unlimited ranch for free), and would have had to pay an additional $ 1.50 to get 4 more table spoons of ranch. Why am I treated like a second-class citizen just because I don’t want to eat in your dirty, little, smoke-stained bar? I won’t be ordering from there again, and it’s obviously not a family-friendly place, so there’s no chance I’ll be stopping by for a sit-down meal, either. I’m ashamed of myself that I left a tip for the mulletted bartender. Had I realized about the extra charges, lack of condiments, and receiving two mayo burgers, I wouldn’t have.

The night bar tender is the brother of the owner and he is a complete asshole I work nearby and would come in on break. He had the worst attitude ever. I’ll never go back.

I have lived at my house for almost 2.5 years now, and we(bf, room mate, and myself) have tried this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We have been meaning to try it for some time now. Well, it was pretty good. There were not a lot of people there, so we were able to get the back area where the pool table and dart board were, to ourselves. The drinks specials were decent, and actually pretty tasty. We watched the end of a hockey game, played pool, darts, each had about 3 or 4 drinks, and we ordered 2 appetizers for about $ 50. I didn’t try the wings, but I think I remember the quesadilla was pretty good. It was a very fun night indeed, and we will be visiting again soon. Just as long as the weather picks up. The staff was also very friendly, so that was helpful and nice.

This place has the BEST wings I’ve ever had. They don’t have a ridiculous selection of sauces but they have and do the basics right! Also, they don’t serve sorry little pieces of chicken wings that some of the chain restaurants serve. The wings are meaty and flavorful! The burgers have always been big and juicy! They are priced moderately but the portions and taste are well worth it. I recommend ordering to go in person and have a beer with the cool staff while you wait!

I actually visited this Sneakers Bar & Grill for lunch twice in a row(there really aren’t that many choices in this part of town). My first visit, everything tasted really good, but for some reason, the food was quite off for me on the second day. Service was also inconsistent during my two visits. I had a chicken burger each day(Western Chicken and Guacamole Chicken) with onion rings(total $ 9.95). The sandwich tasted a lot better when the buns were toasted, which they did on the first day but not on the second. However, the onion rings were great on both days. Bottom Line: Nice bar atmosphere but hit or miss with food and service.
