AMAZING! The food was fresh and delicious. The bartender/waitress Natalie was cheerful and on top of it. As the bar got busier than service was still great. I will definitely be eating lunch here again & again.

Formerly Harry’s, a Chicagoesque reincarnation with deep dish pizza, formerly Harry’s All-American, formerly Harry’s Watering Hole(which had the freaky face masks of the Three Stooges on top of the big screen), this is now part of the Sneaker’s local chain of smaller, working-class sports bars(as opposed to big Bully’s and Sparky’s). Sneaker’s in general has a more low-key ambiance without all the tables full of families and family things like arcade games and kid’s meals and stuff. I also find that bartenders at Sneaker’s tend to be a lot friendlier than most any kind of bar. Sneaker’s brings their food menu thus eliminating all traces of the former Harry’s. For all you Chicago expats, if you missed Harry’s you missed your last chance at Chicago food in Reno, except maybe that hotdog cart. Sneakers also finally eliminated all traces of the funky, oddball cartoon moose murals that used to decorate the old watering hole. It is now painted in a somewhat aquatic theme of red and blue. I don’t know why I think red and blue is aquatic. They also moved the entrance away from the bar which makes it fell somewhat more cozy. They kept the four pool tables and will continue to host pool tournaments. The Sneakers menu is pretty basic sports bar stuff with burgers, sandwiches, and wings. Nothing special. I’m not saying the basic sports bar menu is soporosely uninspired and oleaginously vapid, well, no, I am. I’m not exactly asking for a hipsterification of the menu adding kale, quinoa, Korean tacos, and pork shoulder, but I don’t know, I’m getting close to the age of the targeted demographic for sports bars and I’m just thinking, can we just try something new? Do all middle-aged sports-loving dudes love chicken wings, onion rings, and burgers? Really? Really? Ughhhhhhh. But I really liked the bartender though.
