Came for breakfast… Omelette was outstanding!!! That is nothing compared to the coffee cake. This was amazing!!! Great service.

Where do I start… We decided to go here after seeing and reading all the reviews. But our experience was extremely disappointing. First, service is extremely SSSLLLOOOOWWWW! The hostess(older white woman, might also be the owner) was nice and friendly. She took us to a table in the patio. After siting outside for 10 minutes a server approached us saying that she’s wasn’t our server because she was too busy and that we will be getting another server. First off, the restaurant wasn’t full… and how hard is it to write down customers food orders? My boyfriend and I are restaurant managers and we were shocked that after waiting 10 minutes to be greeted by a server, a server comes to us to say that she’s too busy… That’s BullSh*t. So we waited… Another 10 minutes pass, we see 3 different server walk pass our table but no one to take our food order. Finally after waiting for nearly 30 minutes, we got a server!!! Thank the heavens we can finally say what we want to eat… But wait… There’s more… My boyfriend order a burger with onion rings. The server said that they can’t do onion rings or anything fried because the fryer is off due to their small kitchen… It’s 12:30…why the hell would you not turn on your fryer during a lunch rush! Like seriously, there’s no one with a brain there! So he settled for a salad. Secondly, the food took even longer to arrive. A restaurant that is considered a brunch, lunch, diner should have a food turnaround of 10 – 13 minutes. NOPE! Another 20mins for our food. Seriously! I know Reno is slower than the Bay Area. But this was so sssllllooooowwww! We were debating to just leave and pay for the salad that we devour because we’re so hungry! But we stayed hoping that the food would make up for the awful service. Lastly, the food was horrible! I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage and ham, and country patatoes, he ordered a bacon burger with salad(originally onion rings)… The burrito came out saugy from the salsa they«drizzled» on top. The patatoes were so plain and forgettable. The burger had burnt bacon on it! Like how do you mess us bacon? Plus it was pretty pricey to be in Reno! For both plates was $ 33. I was paying Bay Area prices for sh*tty Reno food and experience. My advice: go to pegs or Denny’s the service will suck at Denny’s but that’s already expected! Extremely disappointed!

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! This place deserves 10 Stars! The best Eggs Benedict we have ever had anywhere, and we are Benedict fanatics! Great home fries. Perfect bacon. Super fresh fruit Delicious iced tea. And you guys… the staff! They made us feel like we were right at home! All smiles! The waitress chatted with us and was super helpful! The owner even stopped by the table to check on our food and also chat about where we are from! (Also, cool and comfy eclectic décor. Lots of motorcycle stuff!) Thank you for the best breakfast experience all around we’ve ever had! This is a MUSTTRY!

My second time here. Today was my first time here for breakfast. Last time was for lunch. I already know what I wanted to order today — the eggs benedict I’ve been reading about. I love breakfast food! The restaurant has a lot of regulars customers. You can tell by the interaction. They have 4 tvs in the bar area, more tables in the dining area and some outside. I came around 10am on a Wednesday and the party has already started. Mimosas and beers with people’s breakfast. Ok, on with the food… The eggs benedict was good. Eggs perfectly poached, runny when split with my fork. The sauce is their special sauce, a sherried cream cheese sauce. It taste very buttery, not sure if I like it that buttery. But there was lots of it and I let the potatoes soak it all up too! I found a piece of egg shell in my food today. It was a thicker shell piece, suppose to be a better quality egg I guess. As usual, I enjoyed my breakfast with black coffee. Strong, bold, and not sour. Perfect. They offer packaged creamers on the table for those who want to add a little creaminess to their drip. They also have my other breakfast favorite, cornbeef hash. I will try that next time. You can accumulate points for dining here. They keep track with your phone number. $ 5 when you reach 100 points! Bathrooms were clean. Toilet seat covers available.

5 stars for complimentary items and a very friendly server! I cannot wait to go back and try their breakfast — as seen in many of the Unilocal pictures above ^ I’d driven by PJ’s so many times and never knew this was a great place to get food and good beer. We usually dine across the street at Rapscallion’s for happy hour, but PJ& Company seemed like the best idea for our late Friday night shenanigan’s. When we chose our tall table in the bar area and sat down my eyes got so big when the waitress asked if we wanted complimentary chips and salsa — UMYESPLEASE! My favorite restaurants are the ones who offer food before food(bread & butter, chips & salsa, pickles, etc.). I don’t know why I ordered the spinach salad, maybe because I knew I was about to binge on the delicious light and crispy slightly salted chips like a crazy person or if artichoke hearts, pine nuts, and chicken caught my eye. Either way I was excited for anything on the menu and had been dying to try this great diner/bar. My salad came with a giant chunk of homemade corn bread — to say the least I was satisfied. Who doesn’t love corn bread?! My boyfriend ordered the International burger with pepper jack cheese and chose the potato cheddar soup for a side. We enjoyed dunking our chips in the soup like a cheese sauce and all of the food was very tasty. Yum yum — we will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu. On another note, our waitress was SO nice! As we were walking out the door, I obviously noticed the shiny green wrappers of an Andes mints sitting in a box near the cash register. She smiled at me and kindly said«those are complimentary too» in a soft, genuine voice. I immediately shouted«I love this place»!

It has been about three years since my first visit at PJ& Company, and I was(once again) blown away with how delicious the food was! They offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. All of the menus are pretty basic and aren’t anything you wouldn’t expect, however they each offer a good variety. I’m pretty new to the Eggs Benedict craze, but I am a HUGEFAN. PJ’s Eggs Benedict was 10/10, it blew me away! The hollandaise sauce that they use is thick, full of flavor, and incorporates cream cheese(which is the easiest way to my heart). My boyfriend ordered the Breakfast Burrito and when it was served, our eyes widened at the pure size. Again, we were not disappointed with the flavor. The burrito was great! A majority of the breakfast items come with PJ’s potatoes which are skillet chunky potatoes sauteed with onions and other great flavors. It is a nice change to the traditional hashbrown side that many places offer. The service each time I’ve been to PJ’s has been great. They have a friendly staff, the prices are reasonable, the portions are huge, and they can manage busy crowds fairly well. I definitely want to go back sometime soon to try their lunch or dinner menus.

The place appears to be run down and could use a spruce up. We missed breakfast by fifteen minutes so we had to order lunch. I have heard breakfast was good so I was bummed we didn’t get to try it I didn’t feel like a burger or sandwich so I opted for a cup of soup. Cream of broccoli. The flavor was okay but it needed some help. I am not a fan of restaurants that liquefy the veggies. I like chunks of veggies in my soup. It was more like drinking soup than eating it. Additionally too much cream. It tasted like a roux not soup. My husband had the patty melt. He said it was one of the worst he had ever had. No flavor… and he didn’t notice any cheese on it. Either they forgot to add it, or they don’t use a flavorful one. I had planned on stealing a few of his fries but once I saw them I changed my mind. They looked overcooked and brown. He said they were too greasy and tasted bad. Guess u was right to not steal any. Must be an off day because this place has excellent reviews I see. Maybe next time.

Tj reporting from Pj’s parking lot. This place is so rad I couldn’t even wait to write the review! 10⁄10 for service, food, vegan/gf, atmosphere(kicked back). Do yourself a favor and eat here. Shout out to Steph who was way too cool.

Being that we are new to Reno we want to try all the local places. Co-workers of my husband suggested PJ’s and this was a great suggestion! Anyone who knows me know that I order eggs benedict everywhere. Out of probably 50+ that I have had this was by far the best! Our waitresses was very friendly and helpful. We already placed our orders and she made it sound so delicious that we ordered quiche too! Between the ginormous coffee cups, amazing food, secret menu we were told about, owner making his rounds and engaging with customers its no surprise that we will become regulars!

This place is ALWAYS packed! Good, home style cooking. Big breakfast food selection, plus burgers, sandwiches, and typical bar food. The bar food isn’t on the menu its posted in the bar so check it out if you’re looking for hot wings, nachos, and chicken tenders. Full bar with some great beer choices. Parking can be difficult and its on the edge of not the best part of Wells but still a really enjoyable local spot!

Yep, another place that I feel like everyone has been too a million times and I’m finally just getting around to trying it out for the first time. I’m typically wearing of visiting breakfast/brunch places on Sunday mornings becauses they just tend to be packed and have long waits. I was pleasantly surprised that PJ’s was not that busy and we got a table right away. The interior is a funny mix of dated restaurant, in need of a makeover and some fixing up, and a sports bar. We were greeted quickly by a man offering coffee. Yes please! Major props for serving coffee in large mugs. I hate when you get those teeny, wimpy mugs in some diners — they hold like a ½ cup coffee, max. The menu is pretty basic and nothing was really calling out to me. I usually try to order a different take on something or something that you don’t typically see on other menus. But PJ’s sticks to the very basics, so I decided on Eggs Benedict. I guess they do take a slightly different approach to this — the sauce is a sherried cream cheese sauce. The serving size is HUGE. It comes with three poached eggs and very generous portion of potatoes. Way more than I could ever eat in one sitting. The sauce was little runnier than I would of preferred and I just wasn’t really a fan of the flavor of the sauce. My eggs were undercooked and the whites were still slightly runny. I love a runny yolk, but runny whites freak me out. I also like a little bit of chew left in my English muffin, but this was just all soggy. The potatoes weren’t anything special, kind of bland and too soft. Maybe I hit them on an off day, because it seems like people rave about their eggs benedict. I guess this is my typical harsh review for a breakfast place. Sorry PJ& Company, but I think you can do better.

My wife, grandmother and I came as a recommendation from my grandmother. Nice, local sports bar that’s been here for quite some time now. Very friendly staff. Was a good amount of people there on a Monday night, but it wasn’t loud. Food was excellent and the drinks were well crafted and quick. Mostly burgers and sandwiches, but they now have a tex-mex menu, but we didn’t give it much attention, likely would in another visit. Same goes for their breakfast menu.

I wanted to do a quick update, I’ve been back just a couple of times, but the service was much better both those times. I’ve gotten soup and the famous benedict, and I was please with both. The first time I got a bloody mary it was too spicy for me, most recently I had a brunch one and it really hit the spot. The hollandaise, is like they say on their menu, a chardonnay(or some other wine, I don’t remember for sure) and it makes it different than other places. Obviously homemade, and delicious, I wouldn’t mind if it was a bit zingier, but didn’t really care too much about that when I wolfed down my 3 eggs and ham bene. Our waitress, specifically this last time, was just so much friendly and looked happy to be there, even though it was new years day. So thanks! My opinion has changed for the better, and this is now in the thought process of weekend brunch ideas.

Dang good food in an old Reno type of restaurant. The place was packed when we were there and with good reason too: DELICIOUSFOOD! I had the breakfast burrito and loved it. You can mix the meats and the avocados were fresh. The madre had a hearty looking omelette that came with a biscuit the size of her head! She and my grandma left with meals for later! Our busboy kept the coffee filled and the ice teas coming. NOWAY could anyone leave this place thirsty. After our meal was done, the owner even popped by to see how things were. Seems like a real friendly guy. 4 stars because the hostess was a bit grouchy. Not holding it against her too much because it was seriously wild in there.

Pj’s is an institution in reno! It’s been around forever, and the locals love it! From the front it doesn’t look like much, but the food is amazing, and the staff is warm and friendly! If you are searching for wonderful home cooked comfort food, in a comfortable environment surrounded by real Nevadans… This is your place!!!

Nice little gem in Reno. Stopped for breakfast and has great meal. Welcome right away and exceptional service. Had eggs and bacon; plenty of thick cut bacon cooked perfectly, BTLA stuffed with bacon and lots avocado and quiche with fruit. Quiche light and crust flakey and delicious? Definite stop when in Reno!

I’ve been coming to PJ’s for years. I’ve really been going to PJ’s since I moved here back in the 90s. Not the cheapest place around. Wait wait! I know what I just said. But, it’s true. You get what you pay for and PJ’s is worth every single cent! The service has always been A1. The food is fresh and served hot. If you get a burger, it’s served with a mess load of skinny fries! You will not go away hungry. Steve, the owner, also has something which may appeal to a number of patrons. BIKENIGHT! What is bike night? Every Wednesday evening from about 5:30 until the last bike leaves, is a gathering spot for any and all types of bikes. I’ve seen dirt bikes, motorized bicycles, vintage bikes, electric motorcycles, Harley’s, and a personal favorite of mine, the Royal Enfield! Roll in on your bike and grab a beer or a drink. Hungry? If you are, they have ample indoor seating as well as a patio! I have had their hamburgers and some of their Mexican food. I have always been pleased and satisfied with their food. — — — — — — — Bottom Line I will be back. Bike night will always be here and the food & service are good. I still think there should be another location! North valleys?

This place is great after a long day. They have their standard dinner menu with burgers, salads, and sandwiches. They also have their tex mex menu that is served after 5PM. If you like a lot of food at a good price, then set your radar to this place. When I get dinner here the servings are ample and take an effort to finish. Be careful not to park in the lot to the north, since that place threatens to boot the cars of PJ& Company customers. We typically eat inside, but there is a patio(be careful what time of day it is if you sit in the patio, because of the afternoon westerly winds that will blow right into it). A Gold Coast burger with a Pidgeon Head black lager(schwarzbier) on a Saturday evening after a long day of hiking in the Sierra Nevada is where it’s at!

My first time been here. Had breakfast with some friends. I ordered their eggs Benedict and it came with 3 poached eggs, potatoes. I love it. The eggs were cooked perfect, the yolks still runny, very beautiful color & potatoes was very good flavor. I love the sherries cream cheese sauce, so good. The English muffin wasn’t too thick. I think this one was the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever eaten. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros. He said it was delicious. Potatoes were perfect, eggs were cooked perfect too, the sauce was very tasty. Food portion were huge. Service was nice & friendly, always filled our empty glasses of water or coffee. I’ll be back here for sure.

It’s hard to beat the service at PJ’s. It seems we are always greeted like family and the coffee never runs empty. I enjoy coming here for their eggs benedict, whether it’s their classic version or their special of the day. And when it’s a beautiful day, I really like sitting out on their patio. Today, I had a breakfast date with my man. We sat at the bar, which is often our preference at most locales. He ordered up the classic benedict and the Jalisco benedict, special for today. While we waited, we sipped some joe from our extra large mugs and watched some baseball and basketball on the surrounding tvs. We also took in the sights of the servers seating incoming guests, food leaving the kitchen, and toast filling plates before heading to the next table. Some notable plates were the Cobb salad, nachos(piled high), and the fresh fruit bowl. The portions and quality were quite abundant and looked tasty and filling. I didn’t hesitate to dig into my entrée once it arrived. The hollandaise drenched hard poached eggs atop sliced avocados and tomatoes over link sausages on toasted English muffins. The first few bites hit a spot I was desiring since my initial thoughts of coming here to eat. I was disappointed in the overcooked eggs as my fave part of benedicts is when the yolk runs over after being poked. I let Keely, our server, know and she compensated with a fresh order of poached eggs. This is probably my favorite place for home style potatoes, which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have a rewards program, accumulate $ 100 in spending and get a $ 10 reward! We’ll be back for sure to support this fab Reno staple!
