The office seemed very clean, the front end staff was polite. The nursing staff was very friendly and efficient. Dr Al-​Taher was friendly. But not very proactive. I was searching for a doctor who would aggressively treat my Hashimotos as well other auto immune issues. Dr Al-Taher’s plan of attack was to let my immune system kill my thyroid, then just take it out.
For me, that was not good enough. In doing hours of Internet searching about this auto immune issue, there are many ways to prolong the life of my thyroid. Yes, ultimately, that will be the fate of my thyroid, but at 30 years old, I’d like to keep it around as long as possible. I was scared to tell him about my autoimmune idiopathic urticaria… Wondering if he would have said, we will just let your body kill all your mast cells.
I was searching for a proactive doctor to want to help me fight this thing. I will not be back.
