Nova Salon

Finally found a stylist that could cut my hair (with style) and color my grey temples and side burns without giving a reddish tint. Cool Salon in a upscale area with no parking problem. Loved it !!! Michong was my stylist and I found out also the owner. She was great, She really knew what she was doing plus had a great personality and good sense of humor. They also stock some hard to find products to help reduce skin ageing and sun damage. I’m from OC where I use to buy it but now i will get it here at Nova Salon. Great place I will definitely go back. I have finally found my new stylist.

Michong is amazing! She has done my hair and eyelashes for the past two years and I am continually impressed with her outstanding service. She does a fantastic job with cut and color and her eyelash extensions are always perfect. She is very meticulous and really cares about satisfying her customers. She is so sweet and funny and really great to talk to. She has great prices and is very accommodating, sometimes coming in on her days off or staying until 10 at night. It is very easy to schedule appointments and she is always very easy to reach. Overall, Michong does a stunning job and I would highly recommend her. Liu works at Nova as well and I love getting my nails done by her. She has a wide variety of colors and she always does a fabulous job. Everyone at Nova is so nice and welcoming and the standard of service is very high. Nova Salon is by far the best in Reno!

Michong is super sweet. She is professional and does a fabulous job on both color and cut. She is hard working and cares so much about customer satisfaction that she will go out of her way to accommodate clients. She comes in at all hours. Very professional and could not be more pleased.

I moved to Reno for college just 3 months ago and was scared that I would have to find a new hair stylist because good ones can be hard to find. I was searching stylists here on Unilocal and came across Michong who has nothing but great reviews. I too, have nothing but great things to say about her! She is great at listening to what you want but at the same time can guide you in the right direction if you have no idea what you want to do with your hair. It is especially difficult for me to find such a great stylist since I am currently growing out a pixie cut, yet Michong has no problem working with short hair. She has never let me down, I highly recommend visiting her for a haircut. She is a warm, welcoming lady who is amazing at what she does. I will not go anywhere else.

Okay first off I usually don’t care much about my hair. I’m married and getting old, so you know… Second off I usually don’t go to a Salon. In this case, my hair dude, Vasili moved to this salon after his old place sold last year.
I can not say a darn thing bad about Vasili. He loves the SF Giants and knows the game, I love the Sf Giants. He loves the 9’ers, I love them. We both can talk about any sport or almost anything and getting a cut just feels like visiting with a friend.
Best of all, he takes his time, does an amazing job and is reasonable, even after a nice tip.
If you are looking for a great guy, give him a call.

I go to Michong for my haircuts and she always does a great job. She spends the time making sure everything looks perfect before I leave, which I really appreciate. The salon is well-​maintained and clean, and someone always greets me when I come in. The salon is tucked away in the Caughlin shopping area, near Starbucks and Scolari’s. It is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of parking. I will be returning for my haircuts!

Eyelash extensions. Michong is the BEST! I went to her for an eyelash extension correction last year and I am now a loyal customer!!! People compliment me all the time, they have a hard time believing they are eyelash extensions. After having extensions not so great done in Beverly hills and Scottsdale I can tell you she is the best! The salon is always very welcoming and Michong is very accommodating.

Today I had hair extensions put in my hair. I do this on a normal basis for over a year now. I have been going to see Michong Burcette at Nova Salon for over 5 years now. Each time I visit, the salon is clean, well maintained, and I am greeted by employees, or by Michong, the owner of Nova Salon. Michong is very friendly, and a very knowledgeable and creative stylist. I always go to her when I have an event, or going out for a special evening. She has some wonderful ideas about hair, and she helps remind me how to care for my extensions. Nova Salon carries a full line of beauty, and hair care products… If they dont have it, you dont need it!
I am a loyal and life long customer for Nova Salon. I am always extremely pleased with the results with my hair, and highly recommend this Salon!

Whenever I’m in Reno, I always get my hair done by Michong at Nova Salon.
Good, fair prices for your standard cut and color. They also do manis, pedis, eyelash extensions, keratin treatments, even massages and — ugh — so much more. I can’t even remember. Did I mention that Michong does UHHH-​mazing scalp massages? She’s the type of stylist that truly enjoys her job and you can tell because it’s not some half-​assed job — she keeps going until she’s sure you’re looking your absolute best. I went from black semi-​virgin hair with some highlights and ombré (with basically the driest ends ever), to a lush mocha/​chocolate brown all over. AND I LOVE IT.
It’s pretty depressing that I found «the one» that happens to be 600 miles away, but but feeling like a million bucks kind of makes it worth the trip, even if it’s just once i a while.
P. S. I haven’t tried the other stylists, though I’ve heard they’re all just as talented.
