I have come to Jazmines many times for sushi and it has always been fresh and delicious. My husband and I finally tried the Chinese and it was terrific! My husband had the sweet and sour pork and I had the Jazmine shrimp and they were equally wonderful! So tender yet light and crispy, delicious sauces. This is one of my favorite places to eat! And the service is great Come on people what are you waiting for???

So something about this restaurant for those who don’t know– they have special event dinners with set menus. I know they usually do a Chinese New Year dinner in the beginning of the year as well as a Moon Festival dinner towards the last quarter of the year. Definitely come by and ask when the dinners are to make some reservations. You pay at the end of the meal so don’t worry about shelling out money to save a seat. So the Chinese New Year dinner consists of about 9 dishes, all served family style. Drinks are offered at additional costs if you want to drink some wine or beer with your dinner. Food — the menus will change depending on seasons and availability as well as how the chef feels like. It usually consists of crab claws, Chinese sausage fried rice, a veggie dish, seafoods of lobster and fish, as well as some red meat dishes.

Jasmine is located in South Reno on Double R Blvd. They are located in a business/residential area. Parking was no problem with plenty of spaces available. The lunch crowd was a mix of workers, businessmen in ties, and some families. This is a higher end Chinese, Thai and Sushi restaurant, with the waiters in ties and the décor and presentation lending itself to high end. The one thing that was not high end was the pricing. Very competitive to other Chinese restaurants. My wife and I started out with spring rolls, then moved on to hot and sour soup and last but not least, Jasmine Chow mein. The spring rolls were delicious, packed full of flavor. They make there own rolls, fry them and serve them with homemade sweet and sour sauce. The hot and sour soup was good in flavor, not to spicy but a little gelatinous for me. The chow mein was fantastic. It came with beef, chicken, shrimp, tofu, water chestnuts and yummy fresh noodles. Getting back to the presentation, the chopsticks were not wood stuffed in a bag, but we’re plastic and resting on a holder on the table. Nice touch. Service was excellent. If in the area we will be back.

New update : We had an early Chinese New Year lunch. We ordered an appetizer which was potstickers. This were the biggest, meatious potstickers I’ve ever seen. The wrapper was nicely brown and the inside was very delightful heavenly taste, mouth watering indeed! This potstickers stand alone. The sauce was so good too, not just chili oil but there was a little vinegar and bit sweet blended together and perfectly as a dipping sauce for this yummy potstickers. Oh my, I could eat all of them by myself! Then we ordered jasmine chow mein, tofu hotpot and green beans in XO sauce. Chowmein was not oily at all, the combinations of chicken, shrimp, BBQ pork and beef were so tasty. Tofu hotpot was so good, the sauce was thick and flavorful, the fried tofu was tasty. The green beans in XO sauce was so yummy! My husband loved it! And we ordered to go jazmine fried rice yeah I love this fried rice. Our server was Grace and she was so friendly, nice and even she remembered us. I love this place, very yummy delightful food and very friendly and professional service and nice atmosphere too. What’s not to like after all. New Update : Came back here for lunch with my friend. Ordered the delightful potstickers again because they’re so damn good and jazmine fried rice and black pepper beef. Potstickers were consistent taste like I tried last week. Jazmine fried rice was always good. Black pepper beef was delicious, the beef was very tender and cooked perfectly, the sauce was tasty and the vegetables all cooked well. Pretty busy at lunch time. But our server Mario was always checked on us all the time if we needed anything. Then I ordered to go another potstickers for my husband and fried rice for myself. My friend said the food was outstanding, the fried rice wasn’t oily at all, she even loved the potstickers dipping sauce, hell yeah what’s not to like

This is the best place in town for great Chinese food. Everything is top notch and one of may favorite things is that they double as a Japanese restaurant with fresh sushi. So I can start out with an appetizer of sashimi and have Chinese for the main course.

This review is for the Sushi Bar I hated the trek from Northwest to Jazmine… but it’s always oh so worth it. Reno’s best sushi IMO. Superb service and food to match. The owner knows what he’s doing here, make friends if you can while he’s working the line and maybe you’ll get something special. I’ve gone in parties and pairs, never a bad day at Jazmine. Price is what you would expect for a great sushi place in Reno, I wish I could find something to mimic this place in the bay area but sadly I have yet to do so.

BESTAYCE sushi in Reno. That’s saying a lot! I haven’t been to try their chinese food yet(because I’ve been hooked on the sushi) but if it’s as good as the sushi, well yeah. Still a few places I want to try around Reno, but get down and give this place a shot. Seems like one of the best kept secrets for Sushi around town.

This place has gone downhill. Service was horrid. Not kid friendly at all! No way am I paying the adult price $ 24 for a kid to have a few rolls! A party of 6 was ignored for over 20 minutes, so we walked out and had a much better experience at Pices Sushi just down the street.

Can’t believe it took me 2.5 years to eat at Jazmine! The hubby and I stopped in for lunch and I had no idea I had been driving by this location for years. We wanted Asian so I pulled out my Unilocal app and found out that this restaurant was close to home. When I walked in the door it hit me that this location very upscale and would be great for business lunches or a nice romantic dinner. The service was super friendly and we were seated quickly. We ordered drinks and then an order of egg-rolls as an appetizer. The egg-rolls were made fresh and were probably some of the best I have ever eaten. I ordered the cashew chicken and hubby ordered sweet and sour pork so we could share… delish! Everything tasted light and freshly prepared. I definitely want to come back to try the sushi bar. The only thing that i would say needed a little attention is that it seemed like our very friendly server disappeared a lot during our meal and it took awhile to get our bill. With that being said it was definitely one of our new favorite Reno finds!

Eastern dragon was amazing! Avocado and spiciness! Potstickers were huge! Sauce was a little too sweet but add a few drops of soy sauce and it became perfect. 5 spice pork was really good, the chilies were awesome. Oh and the orange mandarin cheesecake was a nice touch at the end :)

This is the Chinese food I’ve been searching for! When I lived in LA, my favorite Chinese restaurant was a place called Chin Chin and I haven’t been able to find anything close to their style… til Jazmine. We got take out: mooshu chicken, egg rolls and the Jazmine Beef. Aside from a little of the sauce from the Jazmine beef leaking into the bag… everything was perfect! The wraps for the mooshu were so light but not so much that they couldn’t hold the chicken. The egg rolls were good; nice and light & not greasy at all! But the Jazmine Beef was to-die-for! The sauce was the perfect balance of sweet without making me feel like I was having dessert. The service was quick, friendly and everyone was very attentive. I was quite pleased and look forward to going back! This is a new favorite!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a good Asian restaurant for our anniversary, and wow, we found it! As soon as we walked in, the décor really made us feel like we were in a nice restaurant– but there were still a lot of families there, so we weren’t too intimidated. The prices were a little more than most Chinese restaurants, and it was justified. The food was great. We had a sushi roll(you can also do all you can eat sushi here) that was better than any I’ve had in the Reno area. We also had chow mien and Szechuan eggplant, which blew us away. The eggplant was the best I’ve ever had, and I usually order eggplant dishes as Asian restaurants. At the end of the meal they bring you a moist, scented towel. We were impressed. The prices at this place are well worth it, and still not super high considering how nice it is. It’s a good mix between fancy and family friendly. This will definitely be a go to place for nicer occasions for us! We have already been bragging about it to people.

It’s between 4 and 5 stars. The sushi is good, not a lot of fried or cream cheese rolls, which is good,(apparently my sister likes deep fried, but they are really good here, I normally hate deep fried rolls cause the fish tastes bad to me after, but everything was good here). But they don’t have any cilantro! What?! One of my favorite ingredients on rolls. They also don’t have scallops on the nigiri menu, which i was going to have my sister try. I loved our chef, who I didn’t get the name of, but the younger male one. He was at our service and so nice and friendly, he even heard me mention I don’t eat raw scallops, and so when I asked for upside down shrimp, made sure to substitute with krab instead. The waters were kept full, its clean and has an upscale feeling. Lunch is $ 17 flat, with a special lunch at $ 19, if you eat some dinner rolls(Dinner is $ 24 flat, so that is a steal!). They also have half sized rolls, when we were nearing the end, our chef asked if we wanted to have a roll with that instead of a full one, which we eagerly agreed to. I love half rolls because you can try more! We enjoyed the likes of the following rolls(see pictures) with an assortment of some nigiri(seared tuna, krab) and miso soup: Pink Lady: Spicy tuna, seared tuna, scallions, and sweet sauce Big Sean: Crystal shrimp, spicy scallops, spicy tuna and subbed sweet sauce for the garlic sauce(after Tha Joint’s garlic sauce, I am not fond of garlic sauce on sushi…) Bear(deep fried): Shrimp, jalapeño, cream cheese, sweet and yellow sauce Happy: Deep fried salmon, cream cheese, jalapeño, and sweet sauce Tempura: Deep fried salmon, cream cheese, crab, and sweet sauce Dynamite: Spicy tuna, crab, avocado(I added ebi and lemon) Golden Gate: Crystal shrimp, lemon, salmon, sweet and ponzu sauce Overall, I was pleased, my favorite rolls were probaby the happy, the pink lady, and the golden gate, I can see myself coming back, although I do miss the cilantro a lot… but I also like lemon in my rolls, which they are happy to add. I also think the special lunch is a nice value as well, so you can have dinner rolls for a discount. I have had take out chinese for lunch about 7 years ago and wasn’t impressed, but being in the restaurant, it was packed when I walked in, so I know its popular, also I would love to try the more authentic dishes they offer. So I want to come back for chinese too. The concept seems similar to CJ palace in sparks, which I like quite a bit. Edited to add: also mussels not offered with AYCE, noticed they have 5 spice wings though that are.

Still the best-no matter how many other sushi places my friends insist upon, they don’t come close to Jazmine! I wish they were open Sundays but I realize even perfection needs a day off :)
