This was our first visit and it will definitely not be our last! The selections are phenomenal! I had the medium sized bowl for $ 12 and was not disappointed. The ability to choose your own ingredients and proportions of each is a refreshing new dining experience. The service was great, we were escorted through the process(since it was our first visit) and our server was attentive and kept us with drinks throughout the meal.

Genghis is a Mongolian Style BBQ where you fill your bowl with meat, seasoning and veggies then pick your favorite sauces. This place does have the best sauces of any Mongolian BBQ! The offer plenty of meat and veggie choices! Their prices have gone up the past year so expect to spend $ 14-$ 20 per person. They have also restructured their loyalty program so you don’t get a free bowl for every ten you buy… despite these changes I still try to frequent the place at least once a month. Their garlic citrus Edamame is the best in town. Service is usually pretty good.

I really love this place! The choices they have are great. I love being able to choose my own veggies and even adding more options since the last time I had been there made it even better. But today the service was not exceptional like it USUALLYIS. Even though we order the app before we made our bowls. I received my bowl a few minutes before we got our«chips and guac». Which I won’t order again after trying it. Probably a personal preference with what I choose to spend 9 $ on. The rest of the meal tasted great! Very hot and the rice was just perfect. A good experience except our server who I believe was the supervisor due to his different shirt color didn’t smile not once. And was upset the whole time and was eveb more upset when we asked for change So we could tip him. His tone and demenor and body language really showed us he Didn’t care really about much at all and to be honest didn’t walk with much of a purpose.

My last review here was over 4 years ago and my have things changed. First off, the service when we went here(on a Wednesday) was slow. There really weren’t that many people even in the restaurant and it took forever. The whole concept has changed too. Now there are different bowl sizes which are more expensive. The small bowl is rather ridiculous in terms of what you can fit in it for the price. Now you have to choose your ‘carb’ qty(1 for small, 2 for regular, 3 for large) based on the size of your bowl and they aren’t a fan of mixing it up if you ask. Let me tell you that you need to try the sauces before you commit to one because some are just plain bad and there is a poor explanation done. My personal ‘favorite’ is the dragon sauce which you’d expect to be hot, especially because of the description — but it’s not at all. All the proteins ended up overcooked which the sauce did help slightly with. I get they don’t want to serve undercooked meat but when it’s dry and sandy in your mouth, it’s gross. The worst part is the price — it’s ridiculously overpriced. A regular bowl for $ 13? Myself with 3 kids, 1 beer and 3 sodas later and we had spent over $ 70 before tip. I’m OK with paying more for quality food but genghis just doesn’t deliver on multiple fronts. I’m not a fan of the changes and probably won’t come back here unless something budges. It’s simply neither worth your time or money to come here.
