Great little neighborhood bar. Interesting clientele. Decent prices on non-​happy hour beer. We will be back!

Foxy Olive is my go to dive bar to visit when I’m in Reno. Everybody is friendly and makes good conversation. Awesome selection of craft beers on tap and in bottles, good music on the jukebox and the bartenders are great and quick with the drinks.

Riley is the best! Wandered in for my girls bday weekend and was greeted right away. We instantly felt like we were at home and enjoyed every minute. The regulars treated us like old friends and we had great conversations and enjoyed our favorite drinks! Nothing beats a Tullamore Dew on the rocks and a cold olympia! Thanks Riley we will be back for sure!

This bar is my go to dive bar. They carry some great options for beer, and have an awesome happy hour until 7 pm. Jessica and Jen are both so sweet and knowledgeable I love seeing their faces when I come in. This bar is definitely a bar with a bunch of regulars, and it feels very warm and inviting.

Nice, chill afternoon grabbing a few beers. This place isn’t fancy, but the bartender had a great playlist and was appropriately chatty. Killed a couple of hours with my dad before my flight out of town. Loved the dive bar bathroom too… don’t change that.

Reno was the last leg of a two week road trip with my boyfriend and we wanted a break from the casinos so we looked up local bars and found this one. Andrew the bartender was great — funny, friendly and professional. If I am ever in Reno again I will certainly go back.

Okay… need a better/​nicer bartender Thursday nights.

First time visit on my «Random Bar Wednesday Evening Tour». Small place, good mixed drinks (priced right), and Jacob was attentive and engaging. All and all a great spot to get a drink. Next week Public House.

Best. Just the best. Love this place. Always a great place to grab some good beers and cocktails while enjoying some great conversations. Real locals place. I recommend this bar for a good fun time.

Found this place about five years ago on the Beer Crawl. Have been going there almost weekly ever since! All the bartenders are great. It does have a lot of regulars too which I love. They do allow smoking which doesn’t bother me even though I don’t smoke but it may bother others. Jacob the new owner is turning the place into a lot more than what it was in the past. Excited to see what is to come! :)

I would say this place is more of a dive then lounge. But there is Nothing wrong with that. Nice Micro on draft. It does sit right next to one of the biggest cheap motor lodges in Reno! Watch 2 women have a cat fight right out side the bar. That was entertaining.

This place was pretty neat. They gave us free shot to cheers with everyone else at the bar at the same time. Cool little dive bar, good prices

The Foxy isn’t the prettiest place in Reno. They work hard to keep it clean, but there’s no getting around the fact that this place is a dive.
But a bar is no better or worse than its bartending staff and its regular patrons, and the Foxy has some of the best of both. It embodies the concept of a neighborhood bar — a place where friends come to hang out after work. It’s also a favored hang-​out for local musicians and artists. Just a lot of cool, relaxed, talented, interesting people in here at any given time.

Tried this place on a Sunday morning (I’m talking, 2 am or so) after reading these reviews. My 21^st birthday was Saturday, so I was literally a couple hours past it, but I got a free birthday kamikaze, and I believe my boyfriend’s was free as well, which is always very nice.
The bartender (a dark-​haired girl – I have no idea what her name was, unfortunately) was super friendly and helpful at suggesting drinks for us. Also, grape bombs are cheap and awesome. And even though the place is small and was relatively packed when we got in, we didn’t have trouble finding any seats.
There was a small issue where the wrong card was charged when we closed our tab, but the person whose card had been charged in place of mine was super friendly about it – seemed like a regular, perhaps.
We returned on Sunday night, and it was the same story – friendly bartender (not AS friendly as the first, though) and good, cheap drinks. So 5 stars for awesome people, awesome drinks, and awesome value.

I’m a big fan of the Foxy Olive. I love when Wendie bartends. She plays music that makes me happy and cracks me up with her stories. The bar can be a wee bit to smoky for me at times.

The Foxy Olive is my favorite little hole in the wall bar in Reno. It’s a tiny 12 seat-​spot with a great jukebox, a space is always offered by one of the regulars and the warmest of welcomes from patrons and staff alike.
Bartender Briana Fager invited me to taste her most recent creation The Julie Cooper. Appropriately named after the beautiful and cunning, trailer park raised gold-​digging character from The O.C., this shooter is seemingly harmless and light with its alluring pink appearance, but once you partake of its surprisingly deep black cherry flavors you realize you’ve been seduced into swallowing a cleverly disguised dive bar shot designed to get you drunk and leave you wanting more. It’s villainous, delicious & cheap.

This is my favorite local bar in Reno, yes they do allow smoking which is a drawback for some, but the personalities and expertise of the bartenders, combined with the amazing people that tend to congregate there make this a true staple of Reno culture. If you’re looking for a great time, excellent prices and specials, and a true taste of local Reno, then the Foxy Olive is one of the best places you can go, see you there!

This place puts «hole» in hole in the wall!
It’s an excellent size for it induces you to get to know the people around you! I’ve met many a great and fascinating people here over the years!
Who can beat their «shot:30»?? A different flavor every week!
The bartenders are awesome, beautiful, and snarky. (I have a favorite bartender who shall remain nameless to avoid «favorites» but they are all great! Sorry, I like you all, but she’s my fav!) A different happy hour each night which makes the week that much more exciting!
(You can smoke here so be warned and don’t get pissy when somoene lights up next to you)
Plus, their prices are conducive to repeat business! I can drink all night AND still have money left over for a 2am taco!
So I suggest you add this place to your local week visitation schedule!

A nice little hole in the wall kind of bar. Modern interior with lots of glass. A slightly remote locale, and small — maybe 9 or 10 seats at the bar, and 3 or 4 small tables.
I like it since it’s close to where I live, but it’s not real convenient to get anywhere else from there.
It can also be pretty smokey inside. .. still, decent bartenders, and a good place for a few quiet drinks with friends. ..
