D & D Barbers

I just moved to Reno and have been looking for a new place to get my hair cut. I have VERY short hair (shorter than a pixie cut) and I have never had a barber tell me they wouldn’t cut my hair. I prefer barbers because they’re not afraid to cut it as short as I like.
I called this place and they straight up told me «we don’t do women’s hair». The lady on the phone was extremely rude. Well, you just lost my business and potential future business!

Just got back from D&D and i have to say this is the worst haircut ive ever been give in my entire life. I would recommend going to great clips before this. I would recommend using scissors and just cutting your hair yourself before you go to this overpriced and bad quality barber. My barbers name i think was Don and he seemed like a nice guy, he said he had been cutting hair for 20+ years and he could give me a nice line up and fade. I dont even think he knew what a line up is and he trimmed way too much. His fade was horrible and if he cant handle my haircut idk what he could handle. Im not sure about the other 2 barbers but i doubt you could get any worse than him. Just save your money and go somewhere else.

In town visiting family and needed my buzz cleaned up. Went here on the re commendation of a relative. I usually don’t care too much about haircuts, I have a buzz after all.
I was very happy with the skill my barber had. No 1 off hairs left hanging out and she even used a straight razor to clean up my neck.
Overall, a solid haircut by nice people. If I lived in Reno this would be my place. I will probably still go when I’m in town.

I’d give this place 6 stars if I could. Walked in the door and immediately greeted by the owner and escorted back to her chair. She has 42 years of barbering experience and it shows. Truly an old-​school barber and barbershop.
Take it from an out of town barber on vacation here in Reno. One of the best haircuts I’ve received.

Great place for a regular hair cut, no foo foo stuff. Quick service and great personalities. Deb was great. Good parking, but don’t wear a hoodie, you’ll get chewed out.

Solid, good value. good olé’ fashioned barber shop. The place I used to go closed due to the owner retiring so I was on the hunt for a new barber to cut my long, flowing locks. Well, this is great place to get a no nonsense, down to business haircut. Also, the cut it short enough that you don’t feel like you have to come back in 3 weeks!

Awesome barber. I was worried the previous reviewer was fake but it’s dead on. They do it all and know what they are doing with a razor, comb and buzzer. This is not a place to go if you wanna get a generic, loser-​looking haircut. Highly recommend.

How has this place missed reviewing for so long?
I have been going to this place for years and Debra and Don are great!!! I recently got a great haircut and shave from Jimmy so I am guessing that everyone is good here. In fact, I called right as Jimmy was finishing up with someone else on a Saturday afternoon and he told me he would hang around if I could get over there quickly. True to his word he was still open when I arrived 10 minutes later. THAT is great service; I was only in town through Sunday so it was nice to not have to miss out on my regular visit to this place.
They have nice early hours for those of us that rise at the crack of dawn, they do straight-​shaves and they are great company while they work.
Seriously, whether you live in Reno or you are just visiting, do yourself a favour and get a cut and a shave from these guys. You will LOVE it!
