Would have been five stars if there was a place for me to sit down and eat. I had the chopped brisket sandwich with two sides. Fries and potato salad. About $ 11. Omg the chopped brisket was delicious. Yummy smoked flavor in every single bite. They were not skimpy on the portions of meat. That sander was enough to fill me up. I had to try the rest of the sides though. The fries were good but wicked greasy or oily idk how they cook them. Seemed pan seared or something. They were real good. The potato salad wasn’t my favorite. Good but too much mustard for my taste. I’ll need to try another side next time. If I even get sides. That sandwich is a big one. I couldn’t but the thing down to save my life. It was delicious. The place they are occupying is just too small for the amount of people this place is drawing. There was literally no place for me to sit. I took my food to go and ate in the truck. I was not dissatisfied. I’ll be coming back. Maybe not during the lunch rush.

This wasn’t as pleasurable as I had hoped it would be today. I expected more from the brisket based on the reputation of Jambo’s. The brisket was dry and inedible. However, the sides were good and the sausage was pretty good. I hope they improve the brisket and I would be more likely to recommend it.

I had tried the Little Road location and I wasn’t impressed. A friend said Rendon was much better, so a friend and I gave the Rendon location a try yesterday and we thought it was great. We both had the Jambo Texan and peach cobbler. I had fries, she had Lays potato chips. I thought the fries were great. They seemed«obviouslly» fresh cut. Skins on. Maybe a LITTLE over salted, but they were good. The Jambo Texan… Wow. That’s a LOT of meat! hahaha I ate half and snagged a to go box for the other half(for dinner later). I liked the first half better than the second half. So, I suspect sitting in the fridge for a few hours may have dried the meat out. That’s my problem, though, not theirs. I’d definitely go back. I just wish it was closer to work! :) The«shack» part of the name is an indication of how big the place is. There are maybe a dozen tables inside?(maybe less? maybe slightly more? I didn’t count) You walk up to the counter, place your order, pay, and they quickly(at least on our case) bring your food to you. It was a quick process and they seemed a bit more«on the ball» than Little Road was the time I was there.

My Favorite bbq spot. My kids go to the school nearby, so I always bring Jambos to eat with them at school. All the others with sonic in hand look on with envy.

After all the hype I finally made it to this place and I must say it was what everyone said it was. So for lunch I ordered the Jambo Texan which for 15 bucks you get 2 slices of Texas toast with chopped and sliced brisket, chopped and pulled pork, sausage and about 4 ribs man was it delicious and don’t sleep on the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos they are awesome. I’d recommend anyone to give this place a shot as they have won me over and from the looks of the crowds I’m not the only one. I suggest trying the Jambo Texan your first time as you’ll get a good portion of the meats to find your favorite.

My husband and I ate there yesterday for lunch and it was the best BBQ we’ve ever had! The people were so sweet, and the lady who took our order was very helpful. We got the Jambo Texan and it was so much food, but it was all amazing! The ribs practically fall off the bone, and the brisket melts in your mouth! Don’t forget to add some of their BBQ sauce on top to seal the deal! We are already planning our next trip there and plan on taking our family.

We had Jambo’s cater my grandparents 60th anniversary party. It was fabulous! They came and set up all the food and did the serving and take down. They provided everything including pickles and beverages. Now on to the important part, the food. I’m hesitant to post this because I selfishly want to keep this to myself, but OMG. Their ribs are a favorite, but you can’t go wrong with the brisket or pork. For the sides, I definitely recommend the beans. We haven’t had anything less than an A+ experience when eating at Jambo’s!

Over the top fantastic! Rare you find a bbq restaurant that nails it on everything, but they do. The ribs, brisket, potato salad and the beans were all superb. I love this place because the go the extra mile on service, quality, portions, and menu options. Thanks for not taking short cuts. It truly shows!

This place is awesome!!! This was our second visit. People are friendly, the pickles are the bomb, and the BBQ is one of the best I have ever eaten. I’m not sure if the pickles are homemade or not but I could just eat those as a meal. The fries are thin and crispy and seasoned just right. This place is quickly becoming our favorite BBQ place.

Had the Half chicken special with two sides(Cole slaw, Fried okra) and sweet tea. Chicken was moist and flavorful, the skin was seasoned perfectly. Okra fresh and amazing, Cole slaw was a little bland but on a plus note it wasn’t too mayo or sour tasting though. The tea was great too. Tried some of my buddies ribs. let me tell you they give the ribs in Memphis a run for their money. You gotta try this little spot. Great food, cool spot.

Great service and good food! The BBQ is good… real good! The service is good. No scratch that– it’s great! They made a tray of peach cobbler for me on short notice, and they were glad to do it! The people that are the cobbler were even happier! Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be back, if for nothing else than the peach cobbler!

I crave this place. It’s hard not to want to order everything… even the water is good! In the past, I have ordered the Jambo Texan, the rib plate, and the Friday Special Pork Chop and I absolutely loved every bite. They also have bacon wrapped jalapeño and it’s amazing. I’m a definite repeat customer and cannot wait to bring friends to check out the food!

Drove over an hour to try this BBQ place. However, I was disappointed. The BBQ was average at best. The BBQ had a nice smoke ring but it all lacked seasoning. Everything was just bland. I had the jambos Texan sandwich so I could try all the meats offered. It was impressive large. Staff was nice and service was quick!

My family and I visited Jambo’s on a Thursday around 12:45 and they were very busy; this is usually a good sign! I ordered the infamous Jambo Texan which was more than I could eat in one sitting for $ 15. I’m 6’3″ and 210 lbs if that tells you anything. It’s enough for two, maybe three people. My wife had the Sadie and she loved it. This place has some impressive BBQ and served in unique fashion. If you’re looking for good BBQ this is your place. I drove from West Arlington and it was worth the drive. BTW, they are opening a new location in West Arlington; near me! This isn’t chain BBQ either, so the quality of food is likely to be better. Staff were friendly and patient too.

This place is great! Their barbecue is delicious, & their sides are fresh. Plus, they offer free beer. Make sure to get the bacon wrapped jalapeño.
