So. Lazy wins again and I went to Foodtown this weekend instead of Trader Joes. Yesterday I Went to cook the chicken I bought on Sunday and it smells like rotten. The date on the package is 8÷31÷15. Google says the sulfur like smell is salmonella, once the chicken is infected it will release a sulfur-egg like smell. If it’s on the Internet, you know it’s true! Bye foodtown. For real this time!

I had a good experience here. I came in to get basic random things, fruit, crackers, and water, etc.) I was there somewhere between 3:30 –4:00pm. I think there was maybe one other person shopping besides me in there at that hour. Everything was set up like many other grocery stores where there is produce in the front, and the fairy in the back. The blueberries were very good quality, but I paid $ 4.99 for a package. Crackers were easy to spot, and a large bottle of Voss water was on ssale for $ 1.19. I can’t go wrong with that. As far as the register, this is where I remove the star. I spent hours, literally putting all my store cards in my phone to save space and be organized and the Cashier stated; «this store is like mad old, so we don’t have that sh*t yet, nah’mean?» She was nice enough to use the store card and then she opened her mouth.(Ever run into this problem guys?, you see a nice girl and she looks promising, but then she opens her mouth and just ruins the whole thing for you?, yeah) She turned over the two other cashiers that were behind her talking amongst eachother, and asked: «Yo, you going out tonight?» Umm, can you wait until I finish paying for my stuff first? Seriously.

I usually go b/c of the location convenience but many items on shelves are beyond expiration dates.(be aware of boxed items such as cake mixes and jarred items such as pickles). One jarred pickles was dated — exp date: May 2011! And, some of the vegetables look like they’ve been battered and poked with bruises. I don’t recommend. Better to go across queens blvd for more choices of grocery.
