3.5 stars Barbacoa was delicious… So the #15 plate was satisfying. Knock off a star because my burrito was cold :( Otherwise, cheapest dinner for 2 on the strip!

Sauve tacos are a must! Seating is extremely limited so eat and move along.

Super sketchy. Everything was ice cold or room temperature, including the carne asada. Health department report was from 2012. I advise going elsewhere.

THEYHAVETHEBESTTACOS! If you are looking for a fancy restaurant this is not the place for that, but if you are looking to try one of the best Mexican food this is the right place. «Tacos de Birria» are the bomb and the«consome» you just got to try it. My review is base on their food nothing else.

I wish I didn’t have to give this place a star but you have to in order to leave a review. All I can say is that it was gross. The lady at the register had bad attitude as if she hated working there.

This place varies from time to time. Sometimes the Barbacoa is Amazing and other it can be just flavorless and not good. I do love the Orchata it’s not too sweet, just perrrrfect! Lol Tacos were delicious today.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat in Downtown Redwood, and ended up here. I’d give it a 2.5÷5. I’d eat here again if I was in a pinch, but there’s much better options available. Redwood City is a haven for authentic Mexican food. Pros: — Quick, friendly service — Free chips Cons: — Mediocre(imo) food — Cash only — Not a lot of seating — Communication is a bit difficult when ordering — Pricey beer

This review is for the FOOD only. I had high hopes for this place when I walked in because I was the only non Mexican in the restaurant, and I was NOT disappointed. I really have no idea why this place only has 3.5 stars. I stopped by here for lunch at 11:30am and ordered two carnitas tacos with everything and HOT damn were they good. Two is plenty, they aren’t cheap with the meat. You could see the chef in the back taking the pork fresh from the stove and chopping it up. The tortillas were fresh and warm. Then they topped it all off with spicey but delicious salsa. I was picking at the tin foil when I was finished so I immediately walked back in and ordered two more carnitas for my husband, rice and beans, and a quesadilla for my kid. There is no ambiance and no one speaks English but the woman behind the counter was extremely nice and understood my attempt at ordering in Spanish/my wild gesturing at the menu.

I have given this place three tries, which was two tries too many. The first time I was here, I loved the lengua taco. The second time I ordered a chicken burrito. Everything about the burrito was great… except for the old, tough chicken. The third time(and absolutely last time) I ordered a lengua taco but they were out of lengua, so I opted for chicken tacos, hoping maybe the chicken will be fresh. The tortillas were hard, cold and chewy and tasted a little soapy, The chicken was hard and tasted one or two days old. I honestly think they can be a better taqueria if they tried a little harder. Also, the cashiers struggle with English. My husband had ordered tacos with flour tortillas. They gave him corn instead. When he told them that he had ordered flour, they didn’t understand. It took three ladies to work together to figure out that he wanted flour tortillas. They gave him flour tortillas… and charged him.

Delicious tacos! If you are looking to eat barbcoca this is to go and the consome is amazing. They only accept cash, but I would highly recommend.

Just keep it simple, get some Barbacoa tacos, a cup of consome and you would be totally satisfied. Their green salsa is on point. I once had their carne asada tacos, they were good but not as good as the Barbacoa tacos. The only problem is that they only accept CASH. When are business going to understand that costumers don’t like ATMs?

Love the food, but there are many issues with this restaurant. The first one is the seating issue. Never able to find any seats when I go eat. The second issue are the lines. Man these lines are horrendous. The lines itself discourage me to go and eat there. They should really consider finding a more spacious location. Over all when this place is empty it’s a great place. The food is great, specially the tacos.

I live in the city and I still find the time to make it to this little gem of a spot in fast growing Redwood City. It has survived all kinds of big chain restaurants coming in and they’re still here. That tells you something. I die for the camarones a la diabla… The heat and flavor is perfect(I’m a spicy hot FIEND) and let me just give myself room to RAVE about the white corn tortillas that come with it. !!! I’m not sure if they’re handmade but they HAVE to be, to taste so amazing. When’s the last the someone raved about tortillas? It’s a hole-in-the-wall kinda place so don’t expect Chipotle’s stainless steel everything but it’s freakin’ authentic and freakin DELICIOSO. Service is friendly. If you ask me, the flavors compete with the best taquerias in the Mission.

I took a chance, 1hr 45 mins from takeoff at SFO. Worthit. Hands down the best steak burritos, Harris ranch beef. Check it out, on Broadway, neat the Redwood city sign near el Camino. Years ago won the best of San Jose, authentic tacos.

No nonsense. Delicious. Tacos. Worth it. Burritos are tasty and I usually get a selection of three tacos. A beer. The place isn’t fancy and the service is not extensive, but with food this tasty I keep coming back rather than the other places in RWC. Okay, one downside: I don’t like their tortilla chips but that’s filler so whatever.

Came by at 7:20 despite the sign saying open until 8pm. The place was empty. The tacos were $ 2.50 each(very pricey), so I opted for a quesadilla, but the staff said they only had tacos left. I think they were too lazy to pan fry a quesadilla with cheese, which saddened me. We opted for 4 tacos. The carne asada was very tasty, but the al pastor was really bad, and not fresh at all. The tacos were larger than usual street tacos at least, but definitely not big enough to warrant the price, even for the location. I wasn’t offered a cup of water or anything either. I had to ask for salsa as well. Skip it, I hate giving bad reviews for local mom and pop shops, but this taco place just isn’t worth it.

Carne asada tacos are delicious. Tacos are on the larger corn tortillas which can be found at any Mexican restaurant — or Safeway. I found that the barbacoa tacos were lacking in flavor. Cash only.

The food is good but the customer service is non existent. I actually had to argue with the owner for a piece of lemon. I like my burritos with a little lemon and when I asked for one, he told me that burritos are not eaten with lemon. Ha, whaaat now I have to eat it like he says!

Meh, I have had better fish tacos and carne asada tacos. The service was rather slow. We came here for lunch. I thought my fish taco would be deep fried, but it wasn’t. It was too fishy for me. I wouldn’t come back.
