Mikey & Shelly’s Pampered Pets

There aren’t enough stars available to give Mike and Shelly. They have looked after our dog and cat for about a year now. We started with them coming in 2x a day when we were out of town. When we came back home both pets seemed well-​taken care of /​not desperate for attention. When our dog (the love of our life) got sick they visited every day when we were at work and did everything possible to make him feel better. They brought him treats. They sat with him in the backyard. And when they left the house they would put on classical music to help him relax. How thoughtful is that. We went through a very difficult time and they were so supportive and so thoughtful. I can’t recommend them enough.

Mike and Shelly have been catsitting for us every time we go on vacation over the past two years. They always get back to us quickly when I email to ask if they’re available or have any other questions. They also send us texts and pictures of our kitties so we know they’re doing okay. Just great petsitters.

We have had Mike and Shelly watch our two cats on multiple occasions over the past couple of years. They are beyond awesome! They always get back to us right away when we text or call them. They are wonderful with our two kitties and you can tell the kitties love them! They send us texts with pictures while we are away. It’s great to have peace of mind while we are away knowing our boys our being taken care of with love. I cannot say enough good things about them! If you are looking for great pet sitters, hire them! You won’t be disappointed!

We used M&SPP for the first time this month. We were gone for 11 days and Mike came to our apartment to watch our cats for us. He sent emails or texts (with pictures when available) daily of how everything was going. We felt like they were in great hands. Mike made our cats feel loved and being so far away, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. And the price is reasonable. Thanks again!

Mike and Shelly took care of our 3 dogs while we went on a family vacation abroad. They sent us pictures and updates throughout the trip so we never had to worry about our furry loved ones. When we got back our dogs were happy, healthy, and well cared for. Mike and Shelly are awesome! We will definitely be using their services again!

Wish I could give Mike and Shelly’s Pampered Pets more than 5 stars!!! I have always had kitties around the house and always had to travel a lot for my work. Dilemma: how to find people I trust to care for the kitties? Well… dilemma no more! In all the years, I have never felt so comfortable and aware that my little companions were well cared for as with Mike and Shelly’s Pampered Pets. Right from the start, Mike was just wonderful, caring, thorough and understanding of kitty-​cat quirks and food habits. He sent texts… no pictures as they chose to stay under the bed for the most part… every day to let me know all was well and upon return, I could see they’d been truly well cared for. I have never experienced such professionalism from pet sitters right alongside such sweet tenderness for the kitties.

With an older cat starting to have some small health issues, we wanted a true professional who wouldn’t just fill her food dish, but really pay attention to her well-​being while we were away. Of the 4 services we interviewed, Mike stood out as the most experienced and attentive. He asked detailed questions about her routine and meds, and I appreciated when he asked for clarification on something med-​related, rather than glossing over it as a couple of the other services did. He texted us updates and even managed to lure kitty out of her hidey-​hole and win her over! When we returned, she seemed a lot less anxious than she usually is after our absence, so we could see the real impact Mike had made. We didn’t hesitate to call him again a few weeks later, and the photo he texted showed kitty arching her back coyly and being a social butterfly, so she clearly knows and likes him now! We will definitely be engaging Mike and Shelley’s services whenever we go out of town.

Cannot say enough good things about Mike and Shelly. We left for a long trip and I was very nervous about leaving our two young cats at home. But when we came home we found our cats happy and healthy. Mike and Shelly sent us almost daily updates via text (complete with photos). They completely scrubbed out the litter box for us, swept up dishes that our cats broke, and collected our mail. Would highly recommend them to anyone! Bonus: Their prices are WAY more reasonable than other options (like the Cats Inn, which had charged us more than double).

We have used Pampered Pets for pet sitting for years and always know our cats are in good care. We appreciate the peace of mind and periodic updates that Pampered Pets provides!

Mike and Shelly saved us when we found out we’ll both be abroad for a week.
In a super short notice Mike can over to meet the cats, asked all the right questions and made sure we feel absolutely comfortable with them looking after them.
While we were away they sent us pictures of the cats which took a great load off our chests.

I was in a bind and needed pet sitting on short notice for the Thanksgiving holiday. The day before my trip, I called Mike & Shelly’s Pampered Pets, and they were able to accommodate me, and did a great job taking care of my cats for 5 days. Mike came over the morning before I left, took down detailed instructions, and met with the cats. Then, while I was gone, he regularly sent me photos and updates about how things were going. Reasonable rates, friendly service, and two happy, healthy cats upon my return… highly recommended.

It’s been hard for me to find a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter in San Francisco, but once mike and shelly took care of my (6!) elderly critters while we were on vacation I knew I finally found the right pet sitters. Mike texted me to let me know everyone was doing fine, and when I came back my normally very needy pets acted like they didn’t even know I left. They are also very well priced for San Francisco. They are fellow animal lovers, and I highly recommend them.

We can not say enough about Mike and Shelly. Very professional, reliable and most importantly very loving towards our precious furry friends. They help us tremendously with our handicapped yellow lab, Oliver, who recently lost his battle with cancer. Mike went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable when we were not home up to his last day. We always received updates via text along with pictures from each visit.
We can honestly recommend Mike and Shelly’s Pampered Pets services with out any hesitation. 5 stars all around.

Mike has been helping to take care of Willow, our golden retriever puppy practically since we got her. MIke is wonderful. He is reliable, thoughtful and passionate about animals. He sends us great photos from his visits and walks with Willow. Mike & Shelly’s Pampered Pets has wildly exceeded our already high expectations. We are so glad we have connected with them and would recommend them to everyone.

While Mike and Shelly have been personal friends for a number of years, when they first began their pet care business, we used their services right away. That attractive red/​brown dog in main photo?
