Daniela Degrassi Photography

Daniela is an absolutely brilliant artist who knows her craft. She gets to know the venue, the setting and location and bring the best out of the subject. She is my favorite Photographer for sure and I would most definitely recommend her to any of my friends. What else can I say, Dany rocks!

I found Daniela Degrassi in 2005 thru a referral from a mutual acquaintance. By simply looking at the Daniela’s website then, I knew she was the one for us. Trust me, I researched some of the top photographers in the Bay Area, but Daniela’s unique style just captivated us. To top things off, she was (is) super nice and easy to work with.
Our wedding photos were absolutely AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! She captured every single detail of our wedding and still surprised us with more. Daniela is worth every single penny. This was one aspect of your wedding worth spending money on. Today, we have moved on to having her capture photos of our family, maternity and children. She never disappoints you with her pictures or creativity. In fact, I always have a hard time picking my favorite photos. I have also taken her popular photography workshop, which taught me how to photograph my children with natural lighting.
Hiring Daniela was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.

Daniela is awesome to work with. I got the idea to do a boudoir session as a wedding gift for my husband and came across Daniela’s site. She made me feel totally comfortable and the pictures came out beautifully. My husband loved the pics!

We were introduced to Daniela when interviewing wedding photographers almost 7 years ago. She did an amazing job for our special day and we have turned to her to document the maternity and newborn photos for both our precious girls. Not only is she a gifted photographer but she has a special charm and friendliness that has always made us so comfortable and excited to include her in our most momentus life experiences. Daniela Degrassi is an amazingly talented photographer. When my husband and I first met her she immediately put us at ease with her enthusiastic and friendly personality. We were looking for a photographer with a creative eye who would take nontraditional wedding photographs. Daniela listened to all our ideas and immediately understood the style of photographs we were looking for. We were immediately impressed with how she came up with a seemingly endless amount of creative ideas and interesting places to shoot. Organizing a wedding can be very stressful, and what I loved about Daniela is that I knew I could count on her. We love and cherish the photographs she took for our engagement and at our wedding. I highly recommend Daniela as a photographer.

Daniela was amazing! Her photos are so unique and have a photo-​journalistic type style. She really knows how to capture moments, intimacy, and exquisite details. Lots of people at our wedding commented how much they liked her during the event, and when we all saw the pictures she got even more compliments. She came recommended to me by my boss, who also was extremely pleased with how she captured his wedding. And her prices are very reasonable — especially for the Bay Area. She created a picture DVD set to music that we selected and we’re overjoyed with it. The way she set each frame to match the music beats and lyrics is extraordinary. We also LOVE the 3-​minute montage she put together online for us to share with our friends & family. It’s like a slide show set to music and it really captures the joy, beauty & emotion of our special day. Daniela truly is a very talented artist. You will be very happy if you hire her!

Through my experience of planning a wedding I have realized that choosing an excellent photographer for your wedding is one of the most important things because photos last a lifetime. I originally booked a photographer through a wedding fair that I went to. The way that company worked was that you meet with the two owners of the company, tell them what you are looking for and then they match you with the ‘perfect’ photographer based on your style and personality. I had doubts about it especially when I asked to see sample work of the photographer that they were selecting for me and was emailed 8 pictures. I immediately started searching for a new photographer and that’s when I came across Daniela Degrassi’s website. I instantly knew that this was the kind of photographer I wanted for my wedding. I contacted her just a couple of months before our wedding and luckily she was available. My husband and I met with her soon after and just fell in love with her and her work. She showed us a ton of pictures and albums which we were very impressed with. She is so creative and knows exactly how to capture the moment in a photo. I think her prices are great for the quality you get. In her wedding packages you get a complimentary engagement session which I thought was great because it gives you a chance to work together so you are more comfortable on your wedding day. Daniela is very fun to work with and she makes you feel very comfortable. We highly recommend Daniela!

My friend used Daniela for his wedding and I thought the pictures were very natural and candid. When my fiancé and I met with Daniela we decided very quickly to work with her. She was very flexible in working out a package that would we were happy with. She offered an engagement photo session as part of the package which allowed us to see how she could portray us in the best light. She was very easy to work with and guided us to work with her thoughout the shoot. It was quite fun. Needless to say the photos were absolutely fabulous!!! At the wedding Daniela was really good keeping the guests at bay while she was taking photos. She really took charge to make sure that she was able to get the right photographs. It was a really nice day in June and many of the guest were hanging out in the garden of the church and would not leave.
Daniela took alot of time to check out the venues stayed in touch with us consistently through the process. It made all the difference to us.
She created a beautiful memory book with a plexiglass cover to protect the cover photo. My husband and I were speechless as the book told a story of our day. She also integrated some family photos that we also took with her over the holidays.
It has been 8 months and I continue to love my memory book. Several of our friends that are graphic designers/​illustrators were quite impressed with her artistic design using the photos. It really takes alot of creativity to photoshop images and integrate them into a memory book.
Choosing the right photographer was the most important decision my wedding. Daniela was the easiest to work with out of everyone that I worked with throughout the wedding process.

We did enjoy Daniela very much for our wedding. We took the option of buying the photographs (all digital) which was the most sensible thing to do in this age of snapfish/​shutterfly albums for 29 dollars. Her fee seemed expensive to us, (much more than anything other expense of our wedding) but our comparison was a quasi-​professional photographer who would do our wedding for less than a thousand. Needless to say, Daniela was more than that (as all professional photographers are) but we figured the photos from our wedding is the one expense we’ll notice/​care about the quality of many years from now. In any case, I am super happy with all of the photos. She had a lot of shots on the diagonal, but I suspect this may be in part due to the 1.25 foot height difference between my husband and I. She and her assistant shot a lot of great moments. My one regret is that we I wasn’t more organized in planning out the obligatory family photo posed shots before the wedding, because during the reception this is sort of the last thing I wanted to do, and it shows by my face in some of the photos.
The more I look at wedding photos, the luckier I feel. I feel like we got a great set of photos to make our albums; an option I definitely recommend. For a fair price you get the rights (and awesome quality digital images) to do what you want with. This was a great option for us as buying albums are so expensive and we wanted to make many.
Since our wedding, we’ve seen Daniela at a friend’s wedding, and as a guest, she’s one of the most pleasant photographers; unintrusive yet sweet. I highly recommend Daniela for those who would like fantastic photographs and who are willing to pay the moderate price.
