By far my favorite store anywhere, and Santa Cruz Ave in Menlo Park’s misfortune to lose. Fabulous original cashmere designs as well as many other unique designs by Cynthia and her artist friends. To go in that place is to find instant girlfriends shopping there, even if you’ve never seen each other before. The vibe is tangible, the love of fabric, color, and design shines through everything. My friends can’t believe it’s been there and they never knew. I love Cynthia and I love Cynthia L, her store.

Cynthia’s in Menlo Park near the Peet’s is a lovely little boutique filled with unique and comfortable clothing(and jewelry) for women. Cynthia makes some of the designs herself — — and different fabrics from laces to angora to cottons to linen and slinky knits too. One of my favorite brands that she carries is Salaam. The Salaam tops are made in the USA(which I look for) and they look great! The cut is flattering for all figures.(I own 4 of these tops.)

I say KUDOS to Cynthia and this little gem of a store! Anyone who says this store has bad looking clothes is obviously not someone who DARES to be different or feminine without looking slutty. This store is ADORABLE and the clothes/items here are as cute as can be. The stuff Cynthia makes is flattering to a woman’s figure(I am no model and her clothes — running just a bit on the small side– are very forgiving of my post baby bulge). This is a place for tasteful, reasonably priced, unique, feminine clothes. Seriously, the refurbished cashmere items are SO lovely! She will even make somthing custom just for you! Cynthia wasn’t there when I went but the gal working there was VERY low pressure but did a fantastic job making suggestions, explaning the boutique to me, and making me feel comfortable to try things on and browse — even though I was in plain old blue jeans and a t-shirt. I was not ignored or overlooked as is often the case in many boutique type stores. Hooray for places like this!

They had clothes here that I would make fun of people for wearing. Well, ok I would never do that, but some of the things people would just never wear! They did have a nice selection of Shabby Chique bedding, though.
