I only had coffee and pancakes and both were good. And customer service was great. I’ll be back for sure.

Busy on a Sunday during brunch hours — staff is friendly, my omelette cost about 12 $ so the price is alright. The food was okay, but it wasn’t good enough for me to go back and try the place again, the bacon in the omelette tasted a bit funny to me.

Always great food — very good portions for both breakfast and lunch. Coffee is always fresh. Comfortable and clean inside and I love the wall art :) Their method of making french fries is so good! Fresh and extra crispy. My only complaint is that I don’t like to be served on a plastic plate. 5 stars for food and nice service, but I’m knocking off 1 star for plastic plates. I’m a middle aged woman, not a 4 year old so I prefer not to have my lunch served on plastic.

This place is near our house, yet somehow we’d never been. There’s a pet friendly patio. Unfortunately, we didn’t know that until we got there, but that’s definitely a reason to return. The space is old, a bit dingy, and the food took awhile to come. That being said, the service was pleasant, drinks were kept refilled, and the food was good. Not amazing, but worth a return trip. Waffles aren’t the thick Belgian style I prefer, but they had great flavor and the crunch was surprisingly good. The space is huge, and if you ever need to have brunch with a large,(which happens to us often) this place can easily accommodate. Unfortunately, some of our favorite breakfast spots aren’t able to comfortable seat large groups.

Great ‘upscale’ greasy spoon. great staff, food timing was perfect, and most importantly the quality was great. Went there a few sundays ago for an Eggs Benny and it was spot on. great stuff!

Horribly mediocre. Bland eggs and food. It is not hard to do breakfast, but I would not pay to eat here again.

Waiting 40 minutes for food isn’t cool. Having a waitress who seemingly forgets about you… until you walk up to the counter and ask about your order isn’t cool. She came by once to take our order, and then came back with a napkin and spoon. «I need to get your fork and knife» she said — and then never returned to check in, tell us our food was on the way and never did bring that fork and knife. We finally asked for the food to go. Perhaps we erred by sitting outside(inside is dark, a bit divey) but we noticed we weren’t the only table who had to wait a long time. Another table also complained. Right after they complained? Their food came out. What’s worse is that another table who sat down after us for their food way before us. Sorry Breakers, we won’t be back.

The service was amazing. Green chillies in the omelette fresh & delicious. A local spot for Redwood City folks– the people watching as they entered the café was interesting. Basic breakfast menu, some limitations for vegetarians, but not something to complain about. Again, service was amazing. Will return.

Great place for breakfast. Staff is very efficient and friendly. Food is very good and orders are made quickly. Food always fresh and hot. Ellie our server was very accommodating and asked if we needed anything and supplied us with coffee refills always as our cups were getting low. Thanks Breakers owners and staff. I hope your restaurant continues to thrive and please locals and visitors alike as it always has!

I have never written a review in my life. This was the worst breakfast experience. Our waiter was rude, both our plates were wrong, even when they fixed our food the cheese was still wrong. They forgot our order of pancakes, all the while never apologizing. I live 2 blocks away and will not be going back. Even when we told the owner of our experience, he still did not apologize. This restaurant does not seem to care about customer service. The people in the booth behind us also had their food order messed up and were not happy with the restaurant. Don’t go to Breakers… the food was not even good.

Every time I go into Breakers Café I usually have their homemade Corned Beef Hash. It’s always delicious to me. I’m taking a dear friend tomorrow morning there and she’s never been there. I’m sure she’ll enjoy the food. Love the place.

Great service at the natural wood counter. The Dancer omelet was perfect, with mushrooms, spinach and cheese. Country Potatoes or Hash Browns cooked perfectly crisp! We will return.

Breakers is a neighborhood joint, so I really wanted to like it. But when it comes to execution, Breakers doesn’t do anything right. Food is mediocre at best. Waffles are small and way overdone to the point of crispiness. The«hash browns» are a joke — know how I know the chef just sliced a potato in half, grilled it face down, and cut and served it up? Because the potato cubes were still partially sticking together, and it was grilled only on one side(i.e. the face down side). This is just plain lazy. Cleanliness is poor, too. My silverware was very sticky, and there was actually lipstick — LIPSTICK — on my water glass. When I asked for another one, they didn’t even bat an eye or ask me why another glass in addition to my 100% full one was needed. This indicates uncaring service. Really, just go somewhere else.

Came here with a friend first thing in the morning to take advantage of the TV and watch some tennis with our breakfast. My tofu scramble($ 9.50) was okay. It was really just tofu cubes sautéed with veggies, which… eh? It tasted fine but I prefer places that actually make some effort to make a vegetarian scramble taste/look like a scramble(use soft tofu and not firm cubes and flavor with turmeric and nutritional yeast, it’s actually pretty easy). My country potatoes were well-cooked, and I appreciated the tea selection which was a lot nicer than the usual diner teabags. Service was friendly. I was a little put off though when someone started scrubbing a surface near us with some sort of smelly Palmolive green dish soap crap, as the smell mixed with the smell of our food for a while. After tax/tip it was $ 16 for a basic breakfast scramble and tea. All in all not bad food and I’m glad I finally tried out Breakers, but I’m likely not returning.
