Acupuncture Wisdom – Claudia Benvegnu, Lic. Ac., Ph.D.

I am a cancer survivor… twelve years now. But to survive the cancer treatment, I turned to Claudia, who singlehandedly brought me back to health after detoxing me from all the chemo & radiation I had to undergo! For 12 years now this incredibly knowledgeable & caring healer has kept me healthy. An open-​minded practitioner always curious about her field, always keeping up with new developments. A veritable Sherlock Holmes of Eastern practice!

I feel like Claudia is someone who tries very hard and makes a lot of effort. But I have to agree with Karen that she doesn’t have the same depth of knowledge as some other acupuncturists I have gone to. Also, every time I saw her she seemed to take a different tack, which was very confusing and seemed to lack consistency. Sometimes I felt like her treatments were really effective, sometimes felt nothing. She also piles on the supplements and is very rigid about how many months each one has to be taken, and is not good at helping to understand what the results from them are or potential side effects. She’s also not good with acute issues such as «I am about to catch a cold, can you stop it». I stuck with her for awhile because I did feel like she really cared, but I had to admit that I was not improving under her care.

I first saw Claudia over 7 years ago. I think she is a genius and can’t overstate the positive difference she has made in my life. While I presented with a couple of specific issues, she has greatly improved my overall wellness. She is in tune, engaged, and very knowledgeable. I recommend her highly.

Claudia is an excellent practitioner, and uses several effective modalities in addition to needles. I have been seeing her for 10 years and am very happy with my treatment.

I’ve been seeing Claudia on & off for years. She is a wonderful person and caring professional. She’s a wonderful listener who seems to take a genuine interest in resolving the health issues at hand. I couldn’t imagine entering Peri-​menopause without her help.
