Always love Tapas and Vino! Come here with friends or family. Consistently they are great food, lovely Outdoor feel and nice ambiance. Tonight they have Charles Hayes playing really awesome R&B from the 70’s. Really lovely. Feel like I am in a resort. On Mother’s Day. CORRECTION! The restaurant had a flyer in restroom about Charles Hayes so I assumed that was who the artist was that was performing. ITWASNOT, it was Joel Gaines. Just wanted to give him proper credit for the awesome tunes

Very enjoyable Mother’s Day celebration tonight. Enjoyed great food, especially the Paella, and the polenta crisp tapas. The waitress was great, changed the wine when it was too strong for mom, and brought us a complimentary homemade Tiramisu desert which was extraordinary. Thank you for excellent service. We also really enjoyed the smooth jazz music, by Joel Gaines and Charles Hayes. Made the atmosphere even more special in the patio where we dined. We will be back soon to savor all of the other goodies on the menu that we could not eat. We recommend this restaurant without reservations!

I had the pasta with lamb and it was out of this world amazing. I’m addicted to their food. Never been anywhere where the owner of the restaurant comes out to greet you personally and thank you for your business. Perfect place for a romantic date by the fire. Thank you tapas and vino.

Attended a charity function the other night hosted by Tapas Y Vino. Wonderful place for a date or hang out with good friends. The food was spectacular and the owner didn’t try to push the expensive wines. A must try if you live in South Bay area! Leon

My husband & i have been coming here for a few years and it is our go to place for a mellow night out, great wine, excellent & consistent food and exceptional service! My hubby can’t get enough of the lamb lollipops and he is Greek! My favorite is the couscous and Portuguese sausage & the golden beet salad! We also love the Paella! I could actually go on and on… The servers are all wonderful(esp Elena!) and make you feel at home & really like family. Whenever we have company in town they will without a doubt have an evening at Tapas with us!

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with a friend after seeing a delicious citrus salad listed on the chalkboard menu on the sidewalk. We were immediately seated at A sunny table on the patio and when I remarked to the hostess that I was anxious to try the Citrus salad, she paused and said she needed to go back to check to see if they had it. When she returned saying they did not I was a bit disappointed as I assumed the chalkboard menu reflected the daily special. We pondered the menu and chose other salads that looked equally as tempting. Upon her return she let me know that the chef would indeed prepare The citrus salad! It really was quite delicious… A little heavy handed on the dressing but very tasty. The salmon was cooked perfectly and my friend enjoyed his salad as well. They could not prevent the city from spreading a great deal of tar in front of the restaurant during their busy time, but hopefully once that’s over people will enjoy sitting on the patio once again over looking the busy Hollywood Riviera while enjoying the delicious lunch.

This is simply the best spot in Redondo. Amazing food and a great ambiance. Make sure to ask for their Greek Soup… It’s nothing like you’ve ever had before. Home of the Avgolemono Greek Soup!

Stumbled upon this place by chance while walking down Catalina trying to decide what to eat for dinner. I love tapas style restaurants and I love wine so we went in to give it a try. There’s plenty of seating outside on the patio and inside. Décor was clean, modern, and quite nice. Here’s what we ordered: Meat and cheese plate — Came with 3 different meats and 4 different cheeses. Also on the plate was bread, walnuts, dried fruit(one piece), and some kind of fruit compote(I think it was cherry). It wasn’t the best plate I’ve had but it wasn’t bad either. It was good enough to satisfy my craving. I just wish the server explained what was what. We just kind of figured it out as we tasted. Fried goat cheese balls — I love goat cheese. The crisp on the balls were excellent. Came with Caramelized onions and a honey drizzle with strawberry garnishing. Everything together in one bite worked really well. Sweet from honey and strawberry and savory from onions and cheese. Definitely order this one! Hanger steak — It was a decent steak and came with chimichurri on top. It was cooked like we asked which was great. All around, the flavors were really good because you can’t go wrong with steak and chimichurri but it was just slightly bland. Grilled polenta — Polenta was cooked well. Nice crisp on the outside and smooth inside. Tasted more fried than grilled but it was still good. It was topped with a tomato sauce. Again, overall good flavors but I felt this one was slightly bland as well. As far as wine prices, I felt they were a little over priced. Would I come back here? Yes. They’ve got a lot of things on their menu that I still want to try. Nothing I ordered the first time was bad. Service was good. This place is definitely a good date spot. Can’t do half stars but if I could, it’d be 3.5 stars from me.

I’ve always passed by and wanted to try this place. My friends recommended it and for a first timer, I loved the food, service and ambiance. My group was expecting musical entertainment on a Tuesday night. It didn’t happen, but I’m still pleased with the overall experience. We sat inside since it was a little chilly that night. The only con about sitting inside is that acoustically with several conversations going on, I couldn’t decipher what my dinner companions were saying. There were a lot of repeats and head nodding. If you’re on a date, I would recommend sitting outdoors if weather permits and if the heat lamps are out. There is a nice firepit too. I think it’s best to go on at least a double date so you can sample different tapas. I didn’t see any children on this particular night, so no comment about kid friendliness. The prices are higher here which could be a deterrent for those with kids(no kiddie menu) or on a budget, but you’re paying for the quality of the food and ambiance. The menu offers a full range of tapa choices. Food presentation and flavors were savory and divine! Later, freshly baked bread arrived. The rustic textured crust with the soft interior dipped in evoo and balsamic vinegar is addicting. The stand out lamp«lollipops,» fried goat cheese and beet salad with candied pecans are excellent. The owner and the servers were really nice and accommodating giving us great recommendations on wine pairings. The place is not large, but there are large enough tables that can accommodate groups. There were 6 of us at a table, but I believe we could have fit at least 2 more. I would definitely come back here again.

Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this place and after looking and the menu and taking in the ambiance it seemed like a good bet. We were waited on pretty quickly and our waitress seemed pleasant but we had to wait for our food and watched others who came later get their food quicker. The presentation was good but the food was average.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Tapas & Vino on a motorcycle ride. We were hungry, thirsty, and tired and we could smell an inviting scent wafting from the restaurant as we rode by. We decided to try out the place without any hesitation, pleased to find a menu full of tapas that appealed to us. The hostess seated us immediately, which also pleased us. Since we were so thirsty, we guzzled down our waters and Arnold Palmers, which calmed us down, but we noticed a lot of the dishes we had ordered were getting served to other patrons who arrived and ordered after us, and we had yet to get our order. This irked us, but we patiently waited to be served soon after, although it was still a longer wait than we deemed appropriate. The food was ok, but wasn’t as impressive as I was hoping.

We had a really good time here for my first experience. The owner was very friendly and personable, he sat down with us and talked for awhile. My father is coming in town in a couple weeks and i will definitely bring him here. The Ahi tuna and the lamb lollipops were something we wouldnt normally order, but we wanted to branch out and they were both phenomenal. To top it all of we finished with the blueberry bread pudding and tiramasu. Amazing ambiance!

Come here for tapas hour(pretty much happy hour) for a reasonable price! The only downer really was the pricing for me compared to the portion. In essence, don’t come here with a perfectly empty stomach and a tight wallet, if not tapas hour. I enjoyed especially the lamb lollipops and the sangria was shared between a total of three people — that was yummy. If tapas hour is not an option, I think during restaurant weeks and such they have special deal going on as well:)

My husband and I came here at 7pm on a Friday night. With no reservations we were seated immediately inside. I was happy! The music when you walk by on the sidewalk is really loud, but once we were inside I hardly noticed it at all. To start, the waitress recommended the Lamb Lollipops and Golden Crispy Goat Cheese Balls and we agreed! Both were rich and delicious. I would highly recommend both. Next we ordered the Grilled Artichoke and the Slider Trio. The grilled artichoke a little too oily, but still fantastic. Wonderful grilled flavor, perfectly cooked, and the cilantro aioli was delicious. We finished all of it by using it as a dip for the bread. So yummy! The Slider Trio was my least favorite dish. It reminded me of leftover night in my house… Take some leftover pitas from one meal and some leftover burgers from another, throw them together, and dinner is served! Edible, but about as exciting as leftover night. Disappointing. Overall Tapas & Vino was good, but I guess with the name, I was hoping for a Spanish tapas place. It was definitely not Spanish.

This is the best food and wine bar! There’s something here for everyone!!! I have tried and loved a variety of food here that I normally would never order. I’m not a baked pear fan, but my friends and I were blown away by their Baked Pear Salad! Flavorful and subtle at the same time. I also love the Tapas y Vino Salad! You will never forgive yourself if you don’t try the Spicy Lamb Meatballs!!! I don’t typically eat lamb but this is an amazing dish. The wine bar is gorgeous and the owner Andy will help you discover the vino that is right for you! There is no category to place this Mediterranean, Italian, Spanish, North African, Middle Eastern and more… influenced cuisine in. Tapas and Vino is its own creature and has no need to fit into any pre-existing box. Come see for yourself! …and don’t forget desert

A great spot in the Riviera Village on a Tuesday evening. The patio looks out over Catalina Ave. and is a cool place to lounge. There is an Argentinian couple that plays beautiful latin songs. The gentleman is Jonathan Richmanesque in his guitar playing and the way he plays songs while rambling around the restaurant. Very cool. Some great wine selection from old world and new. Blueberry crème brûlée was great. I will be back next Tuesday to hang out.

Tapas & Vino was suggested to us for a romantic night out. Thanks B! We came here last friday, no reservations needed. We sat out on the dimmed patio as the weather have been perfect lately. Started off with the goat cheese stuffed dates and banana chips. The husband had chimay and I had champagne. Then we got the steak with chimmichurri and the ahi over thinly sliced cucumber. Our server was awesome and so was the sax player. Food was okay, but the ambiance was great.

After a meeting in Rancho Palos Verdes a few months ago, four of us came here for lunch. SERVICE: Friendly, helpful, attentive and one of the servers has a lovely French accent! There is a small-ish indoor dining room, but we sat in the larger front patio area, as I suspect most people do. FOOD: As we were looking at the menus, they brought out a basket of large cubes of warm olive bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. Warm and soft inside, a nice crunchy crust outside, it was SOGOOD!
Being the piggy that I am(not really) I decided to start with the Lentil and chorizo soup. Only one size listed and it was a bowl($ 6). Perfect temperature, wonderful lentil flavor with an unmistakable chorizo kick, VERY good! After looking through the menu I decided a Panini was in order, so I went for the Black Forest Ham & Cheese Panini($ 11). I’m not sure what type of bread it was, but it had a very crunchy crust. There were no Panini grill marks and I wondered(to myself) if they’d even put it on the grill. It was somewhat warm, so I assume they did. The sandwich was fine, but I probably should have picked another one instead of the ham. For some reason it didn’t «wow» me. Close up OVERALL: A nice restaurant with good food and service at reasonable prices, on a very nice part of Catalina Ave with lots of other shops and restaurants to check out.
