Being that there aren’t many Rocky Mountains left I made the drive to the Galleria Mall to buy a few candy apples for Mother’s Day gifts. Luckily, it wasn’t crowded at all. I was helped by the owner’s wife who was beyond friendly and kept me laughing the entire time I waited. She offered to wrap and bag the apples which I appreciated. I bought the baby bear, caramel pecan, and caramel almond apples. I got mine cut because it’s easier to eat and lasts a few days before the apple turns brown. I deducted one star because I believe the apples and candy are a bit pricey. Apples run ~$ 6-$ 7. Other candy is priced by weight which also adds up. I try not to indulge too much, but I usually leave with a few pieces of milk chocolate and almond toffee.

Just got the most delicious candy apple. I got the cheesecake candy apple and I got it sliced for easy eating. I normally can’t eat a whole one by myself because they are so sweet but I devoured this one lol. I’ll be back whenever I have a sweet tooth craving.

I bought 3 candy apples there for a dinner party I had last week. I used the apples the same day I bought them and one of them was entirely rotten. I know they don’t know if it’s rotten until they cut it open(which they didn’t, I did per request so they’d stay fresh) but it made me question how long the apples had been sitting there…

The apples are a little on the expensive side, but they are good and you get about 8 – 10 slices per apple. The service is always friendly for the most part. I have tried the cheesecake, which is my ultimate favorite, the twix and the snickers, both taste like the real deal, just wish they would make the chunks of candy bar smaller. I always get it sliced, makes for easier munching when your ready for a piece, and it keeps well in fridge for about 2 days. I have also tried the chocolate dipped Oreos, for only a buck, and they are also very delicious. They have an array of other delectable chocolate treats, as well as little trinkets to pick up as gifts.

I love sweets, and I LOVE their caramel apples. My favorite that they have is their chili and lime candy apple. And the owner of the shop I went to is super nice. They have a bunch of different truffles, like Irish Cream, Cappuccino, Chocolate Rum, Hazelnut, and among others. It’s a nice store that everyone should visit.

My love for caramel apples bring me last visit there was a special buy 4 get 1 free which made me happy. Cause I could have candy apples 2 days in a row. I always order the caramel almond apple sliced. The ladies working the counter are always so helpful and pleasant. I have also tried several other items(chocolate dipped strawberries, milk chocolate potato chip and several other milk chocolate) this place will have you hooked. As you walk by the sweet smell of sugar and smell of caramel. I love being in the shop when they are making the caramel all the aromas are so yummy. A complete SUGARHIGH!!!

So, I’m a sucker for caramel apples with almonds and all of my go to Rocky Mountains have closed down. I found this one and the one in the Citadel. Both locations are not particularly close, but what do you do when the mood hits!!! They’re both are in malls, so you can’t just run in and out like the one that was in marina del Rey, but I don’t know where else to buy these delicious delectables.

Love the apples just could not believe to put the four apples I purchased into box would be an extra 2 bucks instead they were put into separate bags… what a waste of a tree.

Friday, May 10, 2013 I called and placed an order for pick up on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. When you call to pre-order something to pick up at a specific time frame, you expect it to be ready for you when you get there. That’s the whole purpose of pre-ordering it. Well, needless to say it was not ready. In fact they were short 2 strawberries and had to make it. I asked if they had a gift box for the strawberries and was told that the plastic container with a doily in it was their gift box. I also ordered 4 candy/caramel apples and asked if they had a box and was told a 4 apple box would cost me an additional $ 4.00. That’s on top of the $ 21.00 I paid for the apples. So with a $ 85.00 purchase I got a dozen strawberries in a plastic container and 4 candy/caramel apples in brown paper bags. Plus I had to wait even though I pre-ordered it 2 days before. I doubt if I’ll go back again. Not worth the money or time.

There’s not much to say about a Rocky Mountain in the middle of the mall– but the service was nice and they had a decent supply of pecan caramel apples, which is definitely appreciated since my current location ALWAYS runs out. Will I make a trip out to Torrance just to hit this place up? No. Will I stop by if I’m walking aimlessly through the mall? YES.

Good place for caramel apples. However, their truffles are not that good, something about the ganache has a little plasticy aftertaste, but can’t put my finger on it-I’d rather go down stairs to godiva for truffles. The service here is on and off, i think the only time i received decent customer service was when that asian girl was there; everyone else seems like they would rather jump off a bridge than be working there.

I came here on Valentines day which is probably their busiest day of the year. After passing the mile long line at Godiva downstairs I was dreading the wait at this place. You could argue that more people would probably want to eat Godiva on this stupid commercial holiday, but I really believe their long line was because they weren’t as effective in organizing their lines! The reason why I chose this place over them was because my bf loves their caramel apples. There was a silly phase where all he talked about was Rocky Mountain’s caramel apples with peanuts. Even though the small store was packed with people buying all sorts of chocolate covered fruit, the lines moved very fast. I don’t want to complain about the prices of the apples since they are scrum-diddly-umptious, but the strawberries are a rip off. Just saying.

It’s obvious that they have their caramel apples on lockdown. I love the one thats coated with graham cracker dust. But I really wanted to tell you about the ice cream! I have a major sweet tooth and this hits the spot. Not too sweet like Cold Stones but just amazing in a waffle cone was a Raspberry White Chocolate single scooped for me and my blasé day. It was blissful and had yummy swirls of sweet raspberry and white chocolate chips in it. Not a fan of the staff but the attitude dissipates as I continue to walk my way out with a napkin wrapped cone. I notice it’s open later… way later than that gelato stand downstairs… so that’s a plus!

My girlfriend and I got a chocolate apple and cost $ 7.00? It was good, but not heavenly and definitely not worth 7 bucks. On top of the overrated pricing, the girl behind the counter looked pissed off. She never cracked a smile nor show ANY interest in working there. What I was always told from a boss years ago, «If you are in a bad mood, don’t show up to work.» This teeny bopper kid should heed this advice. Further, I asked for napkins since this was going to be a messy meal, they gave my paper towels… What chocolate place does not carry napkins? All the chocolate looks amazing, especially the chocolate apples but they cost too much.

Every time we walk by a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory my daughter seems to glow. It’s like the chocolate gods summon her whole being to visit the store and try a new candy apple. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is known for its awesome selection of old fashioned caramel apples. They all start with a fat, crisp, green Granny Smith apple then dunked into a kettle with a thick and chewy hand made caramel, and then cloaked in a variety of tasty toppings. A small sample of the apples we demolished over the years: Caramel Apple with Snickers English Toffee Apple Apple Pie Apple Caramel Apple Cheesecake Apple M&M’s Apple Peanut Caramel Apple Pecan Bear Apple Pecan Caramel Apple The results are an irresistible combination of contrasting flavors and textures. * Tip — Always get the apples sliced at the store to avoid any last minute surprises.

Its seems the good old factories aren’t doing to well the one in Manhattan Beach shut its door as well as the one at the Howard Hughes Promenade. However, this factory is still going although its been under new management several times in my years in the South Bay. My favorite is the Rocky Road apple, mmhh delicioso! However, the apples are hit or miss at this location. Note to self always have your apple cut there. I’ve taken home at least 5 apples to cut myself at home and when I did they were already rotting from the inside. Now I always think twice before shelling out $ 7 for an apple I’m going to toss.

this is my Favorite chocolate in the whole wide world! Their chocolate strawberries are amazing… i always order 5 at a time. My mother gives me gift certificates to the place just so i can buy tons of chocolate strawberries… and xmas is coming up soon… so guess what i’m getting!!! The caramel apples are really good. The ones with all the toppings will cost you about 6 – 6.50 but they’re worth it. The rice krispy treats dipped in chocolate are good too. I would stay away from the cookies… not all that tasty. I love the service. love the chocolate… better than Godiva… people hate when i say that… but to me it is!
