I stopped into Lisa Z. to find some outfits for an upcoming trip, as they have a great selection of vacationy items. Light pants, dresses, tops, you got it. I bought a good lot of clothes, went home, and one of the tops just didn’t look right on me. So, I went back to return it, and the process was going smoothly… until(who I’m assuming is Lisa) came out of nowhere and said, «Who is returning this top?» And I jokingly said«Me, I wish it worked out, but it just didn’t look right on me.» To which she quickly retorted, «Well you’re wearing it wrong! Everyone loves this top, you don’t know what you’re talking about!» I tried to laugh it off, while sweating now, and she kept badgering me how it was MY fault that the top didn’t look good on me. Like I saw someone else’s reflection in the mirror, or something! I made it out unscathed, but I will never step foot in there again. They should change their return policy to: You can return it, but get ready for verbal abuse. Two stars for the inventory, although I want to give one.

Totally rude and snotty service by owner and her assistant. Almost felt like I needed to be dressed like a movie star to even shop here. The best part? They stick their Lisa Z labels over all the clothes labels. So tacky. Go a few stores up to La Tete where you are welcomed by a smiling and personable salesperson.

Can’t believe that there’s actually bad reviews of this store. Customer service here is EXCEPTIONAL. The ladies go out of their way to create an atmosphere dedicated to you — I absolutely hate being«sold» to, and avoid saleswomen like the flu(in other stores), but these ladies genuinely want to make you look and feel good, and if it’s expertise and honesty you want, ask for the owner yourself. Lisa will customize your entire look and outfit you with the best colors for your skin tone, the best clothing for your shape. The other ladies are also there to give you the same service, and keep in mind that they do not work for commission. One thing I also noticed is how many of their customers often become close friends; many times that I have been in there, women will just stop by and say hello, as if they’re saying hi to their neighbor. With shopping these days being so de-personalized, it’s refreshing to see that you can go in and be treated like another woman — not just a sale. Oh and I almost forgot about the clothes! At first I thought it was only for older ladies, but I was enticed in by their Anthropologie-esque window displays(AMAZING by the way… like a little piece of New York in Redondo Beach). I’m 25 and absolutely love the way that outfits are paired together and having a fashion background myself — totally appreciate the attention to merchandising and care to detail. This is not Forever 21, when it comes to quality, but when it comes to being ahead of the trend, you can count on Lisa Z to have the looks you’re lusting for, without being a cookie cutter boutique… you won’t find the same pieces anywhere else, or see the same outfit on anyone else. She only buys in small quantities, making her pieces truly unique — and a word of advice, if you see something you love, BUYITIMMEDIATELY. because if you wait a week(like I have) it probably won’t be there anymore :) Do not listen to these other reviewers; they must’ve been having a bad day and walked into this store expecting the ladies to kiss the ground they walked on? Please. They should just go to some place more«plastic fantastic», like on Robertson where saleswomen/girls follow you everywhere and tell you«look amazing» in everything(which we all know is impossible) just because they want your sale. I LOVE Lisa Z, and if you give this store a chance, you’ll become a loyal customer like me and a lot of the community. Happy Shopping!

Thanks Lisa Z for always being able to help my husband find the perfect outfit and acces. for me! Christmas, Valentines day were both winners! I can’t wait to see what you help him find for my birthday and Mother’s Day. Keep up the great work and I’ll be a shopper forever.

The service is terrible here. The older woman, who I’ve had the most trouble with, I believe is the owner. Theres never a friendly greeting… To be more exact there’s usually no greeting at all. If you do happen to get one it’s definitely not sincere. The owner makes my toes curl, she’s snooty, and constantly speaks in a condescending tone. I had no idea someone that owns such a hole in the wall boutique could ever pull such an uppity attitude. She’s usually so involved helping the so-called«big spenders» in the store she won’t even glance at you. The clothes are over priced. You may find one or two things you think are cute and then you try them on… What a mess. They’re never flattering. Most of it’s probably bought off pico blvd. I only shop in the riviera when I’m bored. If you’re a serious shopper Don’t waste your time here or anywhere in the village. Occasionally ribbons and le tete have some cute items, and the customer service is MUCH better.

My experience with Lisa Z goes back 10 years… the clothing style is continually updated. The staff is very accommodating and great with suggesting the appropriate style for the client. Not pushy but helpful… the jewelry is fresh and great shoes!

Overpriced and NOT good service! The women that work there seem to be annoyed that they have to work. So, quit your job and stay home! :-)
