Good food but no attention to detail. Asked for brown rice for my katsu bowl, paid extra and got white rice… See pic. Feeling sad.

This is my go to place for Hawaiian food. So amazing and of course my family loves it. The staff is amazing and super nice. Check out the short ribs, katsu chicken, and of course do not leave without any masubi. I love this place

I lived off L&L and their salads throughout my entire pregnancy. Their owners are super friendly and sweet. Fast forward to all the visitors we had in town for our little one, everyone wanted to try the Ramen burgers we told them about. I’m pretty sure our entire family from the Midwest want to move out here now because of these burgers. The owner was even kind enough to make a small sample of their chicken katsu for my brother-in-law to try on the house on his visit out here since they’re really known for that dish! All around great service, great food, great prices!

Like any other L&L but parking is difficult here and the restaurant is a bit on the small side. Waiting for your food can be awkward, I’d say order ahead for pickup and you’ll simplify your life.

Called in a pick up order Drove 15 min down to pick up only to be told they didn’t have the ingredients for three orders. Claimed she didn’t have out tel number to call back. Of course not since she never asked. Last time here.

Today I went to this L&L location for the first time and I was very unimpressed. I personally love L&L and usually go once or twice a month. At this location today, I ordered my usual which is a regular half & half, BBQ Chicken and Chicken Katsu with all rice and no cabbage. When I order this in all other locations, I always receive 4 scoops of rice but here I only received 3. Also, I felt like I didn’t get a lot of chicken. I have been to other locations where I get more chicken when I order their mini than I did today on their regular. Then there is the price. This cost $ 11.25. I don’t know if it’s because of the location in Redondo they are charging a lot, but I never spend more than $ 9.50 anywhere else. Lastly, both the Katsu and Teriyaki sauce tasted extra salty and had a slight different flavor than all of the other stores. So even though I do love L&L, this will be the last time I visit this location for the following reasons.

I go with Loco Moco every time. My go-to lunch/dinner/breakfast/snack. They do it right. And the Spam rolls are way more filling that you’d imagine.

Just wanted a taco and some Mac salad while out on my bike. only had a credit card and they wouldn’t take it. Why is there minimums??? You get charged a %. So a minimum it’s stupid. I don’t carry cash when I ride, but I won’t be coming back here either. There’s plenty of better places close by. I’ve just been going to L&L since I was a kid. Time to grow up

Good Hawaiian food, easy fast food, Great for getting a quick bite to eat. Their outside seating is great over looking Catalina Avenue. Their staff is extremely friendly.

Pretty good food. I’ve had the bbq chicken, katsu chicken, and seafood combo plate. None of it wowed me. Although, unless it’s Poke, Hawaiian food is pretty basic and plain. Not sure if they have Poke. Would love to try it if they do. The girl at the register was adorable. Super sweet and helpful. Large portions and decent prices. If Hawaiian food is your thing, then it’s worth a try.

One day I’m gonna give some one a bad review but today is not that day. L&L is surely one of Redondo beaches lesser known dishes. Absoultely delish, theres a lovely lady by the name of Anne who always hooks me up. Definitely mouth watering flavor, I’m here like once a week, solely for the tacos.

To start the owners are very nice and personable. Compared to other L&L restaurants, there the best! I normally get the BBQ chicken bowl without rice.(Less carbs). It always tastes great. I also love the Hawaiian atmosphere. Feels like I’m on vacation! Your awesome!

Definitely a good lunch spot with v r ry friendly staff. I recommend the chicken bowls for kids. They are large enough to share if you have real you children. The service is fast and very friendly.

This place is a meh. The Hawaiian bowl combo with drink for 6 dollars is an OK deal I guess. The chicken had a strange texture. The vegetables were cooked but cold. Is this the way a hawaiian bowl is suppose to taste? The orange crush fountain pop is an excellent choice if you find yourself in the midst of a hangover.

The food can be quite good — we have catered parties with them and order a lot … But we find it to be worse and worse … Very, very little meat provided and when you point out the cost of the meal(that suddenly is all rice, cabbage and pasta), you will be horrified. If you order — check the portions before you leave. And don’t expect the owner to be kind. She will just scream at you.

L&L’s is the best. They seriously have the best macaroni salad here. Besides being delicious, this is definitely the best L&L location. They’re so friendly here and make your food quick. It’s in a great location, right in the village, close to the ocean.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is a Hawaiian take-out place on the South side of Catalina — next door to Pedone’s. Occupying a pretty small space, this efficient location has seating for about 12 inside and 10 outside. It is «fast» food — you order and pick-up at the counter, eat with laughable napkins and plastic utensils and serve yourself at the soda fountain. The biggest drag is hunting out a metered parking space and pumping it full of change. Ordinarily, Hawaiian food is not something that I crave. It’s a lot of meat and carbs — plates are meat, rice and mac salad. Those things are right for the right person, but I really prefer a balance of meat and veg. Then, I heard about the Ramen Burger. And then I found out that L&L serves one at certain locations. I MUSTTRYTHERAMENBURGER. That’s just what I did. The Ramen Burger is $ 6.95 with a drink, whether you want a drink or not(this is SO lame; there is nothing in a soda fountain that I will drink, but I still have to pay the $ 1.60 as part of the price — dock a star). Whether you take the burger«for here» or «to-go,» it will be served to you in a to-go Styrofoam container(#whybotherasking). The verdict: surprisingly delicious novelty. The ramen«buns» did not fall apart but they were not brick like either. The burger was topped with teriyaki sauce, chopped iceberg lettuce and chopped green onions — sweet and earthy with a cool crisp texture balance. Delicious all around. The patty itself is small — maybe 1⁄8 lb. — but they use these pre-formed patties that hang over the edge of the bun(dock half a star — make your meat match your bun). Overall, the ramen burger is 3.5 stars, docking for pre-formed patty overhanging the bun and paying for a soda that I would not drink under any circumstances. So, I do the generous round up to 4 stars. I can’t say that I would come in for any of the lunch items — none of them seemed interesting — but I would come for Portuguese sausage and eggs or a Ramen burger. Delish!

The first thing you notice when you walk in to the restaurant are the smiles from customers and staff. The store is nicely laid out. They feature indoor and outdoor seating. They generally have a greater/cashier. You’ll often times find one of the owners working the counter. So far I’ve dined on Spam and eggs, Portuguese sausage and eggs and a combo of Spam and Portuguese sausage and eggs. Each visit has been memorable for many reasons. First is the food is always handed to you piping hot. The wait is reasonable in terms of placing the order and as well as receiving it. Second, the meal portions are generous. Third, the counter staff and chefs are never rude; always pleasant. Fourth, the restaurant is clean. Counter staff regularly leave the counter and clean the tables and chairs. Fifth, the soda is never flat and the ice is bountiful. Sixth, clean unisex bathroom. Last but not least; the Hawaiian background music is soothing and the volume is appropriate for the size of the restaurant.
