Great store! The person who helped me was nice, and knowledgable. Good selection of Gis too!

A little slice of jiu jitsu and MMA retail heaven! Excellent selection of gi’s and MMA wear(including hard-to-find-in-retail-stores vale tudo gear direct from Brazil!) in stock, so you can try before you buy! I’m a lanky guy with long arms, and I like to shrink my gi’s to fit, so having a place where I can try before I buy is indispensable to me! Also, don’t forget to check out the sale racks — if they have something that is right for you, you’ll find fantastic deals here! Combine that with laid back but excellent customer service and a convenient location, and folks, we have a winner! … Now if only there were a place that would be the judo supply equivalent of Jiu Jitsu Progear, I’d backflip for joy haha! Hey Jiu Jitsu Progear, I love the Yudan judogi that I bought from you guys, please stock more judogis!!! Thanks!

I wasn’t sure what size gi would fit me since I was in between sizes based on descriptions so I went to the store to try them on. Unfortunately they only had one size of the gi I wanted, which they said would be too small after washing so it was good that I came in!(I saw the same gi online from a different seller which said the gi was preshrunk!). Now that I know what size to get, I could order it online from another retailer but they had such good customer service, I’m going to wait for their next shipment to come in and buy it from them. Not only did they stay open past closing for me, they let me try on multiple gis and gave me great advice. Plus they sell the gis for less than most other places online.

I’ve passed this location many many times and never had the need to walk in… that is, until I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu @ The Jiu Jitsu League in Long Beach. I’ve been looking for a place to shoot the shit with and talk BJJ… this place was it. The guy there, Tristan, is cool people. I was able to discuss Gi’s and the selection process, while being cost effective. I also wanted to check out the other place OTM fight shop, but when I called, their prices for their gi’s were too much. I like this place alot. Ill come when I need more things =)

after driving down this street a billion times coming back from the beach, i finally put 2 and 3 and 4 together and noticed that this is the aloiso bjj school with the shop attached to it: P yay it was open on a sat evening! yay that i got to try on gi’s instead of ordering online! they have a dressing room. so i discovered i can fit into a kiddy sized gi and can pay about half the price of an adult one. with the financial savings i threw in a cool lookin rash guard in there. it’s got a good amount of bjj and mma stuff in there… for men and kids. some girl stuff(for kids i guess) and blue or pink gloves? wutever. i got really good personal service(maybe cuz i was in a swimsuit and a short skirt: P).

This is a pretty cool spot for any bjj guy. They have a TON of Kimono’s and a bunch of other accesories. The guy that works there, I believe he is the owner, is really cool. He is willing to work out a deal sometimes if you buy in larger quantities. Pretty good shop!

Kind of hard to find this place since its in some run down, hole in the wall place but i think thats because the guy mainly deals with online orders. The owner is very nice and I see him at almost every BJJ competition around here. The last time I went I got to meet Ronaldo«Jacare» de Souza the Absolute World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion. I guess this is the place to be if your into BJJ. My advice is to get to know this guy and try to haggle with him into giving you a deal, Korean style!

for being one of the only mma/bjj apparel shop… it aint that great. oh wait its owned by brazilians? oh no wonder why… their service is about as good as a lifeguard describing the water to a drowning victim.

You’re first stop for MMA and Braziliian Jiu Jitsu related apparel and gear and clothes and videos. Always call ahead though cuz the owners are always sponsoring tournaments and out of the office at those events, also they are Brazilian dudes from Brazil who train Jiu Jitsu, they are on Brazilian lag time, no worries my friend, I open when I get there. It’s also downstairs from Aloiso Silva’s academy.
