I LOVE their Lemon Cake, chocolate was very rich and tasty too. By far better than any grocery store version, and definitely worth the extra $ for a special occasion. This makes a good hostess gift or cake for a small party. I don’t do the decoration as it is already expensive. They are frozen, so you have to thaw maybe 30 –60 min, but are very moist and delicious.

I dont even live in Long Beach, but for many years worked at an airline. Every time I was visit family I would make a trip, grab a frozen lemon cake and take it all the way home to Maryland. Best Lemon Cake I have had to this day and I am an exceptional baker. All I can say is follow directions LET the CAKE thaw. But the reality is you cant please everyone all the time!

NOTE: this is only based on cupcakes. not on cakes. we got chocolate cupcakes here. i swear, they tasted like they came from albertson’s. the frosting was icky and non-substantial and there were those candy sprinkles that taste like terrible on them, and the cake was hard and not at all delicious. i felt sick after eating mine. it tasted entirely artificial. every time i drive by here now, i sneer at this place.

Sometimes a cupcake is… well…just…a cupcake. Snagged the wife a marbled vanilla and chocolate cupcake($ 1.50) She ate it… she didn’t die or anything… A-OK.

Someone brought one of these cakes to work. They had shiny, metallic bows and ribbons poked into the cake with wooden skewers. I guess this is their signature way of being creative, but it just looked odd. Then when you take the ribbon– etc– things off and you basically have a plain bundt cake. The chocolate cake also tasted plain and kinda had a hard to chew texture. I just read that some people found they had frozen bakery items from here. That would explain a lot. I say go to Vons and buy a $ 3.00 bundt cake mix in a box.

They specailize in Bundt cakes. You will not find a better bundt cake around. HAve had several deliveries made for work birthdays and the ladies love them. You get what yo pay for and these are worth a little extra. The people are very helpful. I will be back.

Because of this place’s name, we expected to find cupcakes on display for us to pick and choose to our liking. There are NO cupcakes on display! What! They are all in the back. Frozen. We decided to get two cupcakes anyway, one french vanilla and one lemon. $ 3 for two cupcakes. Cupcakes should be fluffy right? These had the texture of uncooked cookie dough(not what I expected nor want) and the icing was pure sugar, as in. hard and not tasty at all. Maybe we should have waited for it to thaw more, but we went in there wanting to eat it right at that moment. :( It was kind of disappointing. Also, all of their cakes are bundt cakes and look kind of shoddy. A little girl was there with her mom wanting a birthday cake, but one look at the example bundt cakes, she decided to go for cupcakes. Hopefully she let her cupcakes thaw out before eating them. After taking a couple of bites into each cupcake, we tried to feed the birds. They didn’t even really want it either. :(

Everybody loves this place, but my experiences there haven’t been fantastic. Last week I stumbled in, elated that I’d landed another deal and I just wanted to celebrate with some chocolate cake. A friend had recommended I try it, so why not?! Why not? It was a cold day and they gave me a frozen piece of cake to enjoy with a plastic fork. The girl was nice enough, but she said, «you might want to let it thaw for ten minutes.» Not the celebration I had hoped for. The cake was fine, but honestly they’re not very creative — they’re all exactly the same! I had some frozen oatmeal cookies that were pretty good, but dang I wish they hadn’t been frozen. It was cold out. Plastic fork and frozen cake. I sat there for ten minutes and nearly broke the fork on the cake. Ended up throwing it out. Waste of $ 5 for me. =(

I wandered into this place yesterday and ended up ordering a bundt cake for a hostess gift for a party next week. It was probably overpriced but I was smitten with the decorations adorning the baked goods. It is all in the presentation, indeed! This small chain has several locations in Southern CA, and they do deliver nationwide. In addition to cakes, there are cookie platters and other baked goods. They will custom-decorate and personalize for ANY occasion and the finished creations are beautiful. Photos on their website do not do justice. Only three stars because I am assuming nothing is organic.
