I had a really delicious and creative vegetarian sandwich — black bean, jicama, cheese and jalapeño concoction on their wonderful«pita sub» bread. Corn chowder very good too. My father had a rosemary ham sub that he really enjoyed. They had cheese pizza on their homemade dough for the less adventurous teenager in our party — she liked it. Nice people — they even equipped us with two loaves of day-old homemade bread for free on our way out the door, one 9-grain and one onion/cracked pepper. Both were big hits at dinner that night. I’d definitely return next time we are visiting.

The food here is SO delicious. The breads are homemade, the vegetables taste fresh and they don’t skimp on them. The tuna sandwich w/avocado is truly delicious. The homemade breads are chewy and flavorful with a nice crust. I’ve just bought bread there too, and brought it home. It’s very good. The soups are good. The Potato Rosemary is hearty, creamy, and has just enough flavor. Makes my mouth water just thinking of it. These guys are easily the best sandwich shop in this town. The quality of the prepared food is 5 star. BUT, they can’t seem to rock a health inspection. Instead this shop barely passes *AT75*, which is gross since Deschutes county health inspectors now pass out 100 scores like candy.(it used to be hard in this county to get a 100. Very hard). So what goes on in the back there is slovenliness. They’re hiding a dirty restaurant in the back. These guys barely bus & wash tables. And there’s not much in the way of customer service. I can forgive the grunting at customers instead of saying hello with a smile. The almost surly attitude. But barely passing on the cleanliness though? Not OK. And so good food or not, I haven’t been back. And I won’t until these dirties understand that the blatant disregard of paying customers isn’t ok. Quit arguing with county health inspectors, and use those wash buckets AS directed. Find the bleach, and WASH. Maintain your back kitchen please. Before they close your butts down.

This place is a great go-to lunch spot in Redmond. They make their own breads and, from what I hear, fantastic sandwiches and pitas– I do not consume gluten products. Enjoyed the Thai Peanut Salad. Great salad with romaine, a carrot/jicama slaw crushed peanuts and a great peanut dressing. I think it was supposed to have chicken, but only found about 4 small bites total. I feel like they could provide more protein considering how much is used on their sandwiches and pitas.

Great soup and bread. I’d of given them 5 stars but they were out of a lot of things at 1:15. Sandwiches and salads looked fantastic. Prices were fair as well.

Soup to Nuts is a no-brainier when I’m in Redmond during the lunch hour! Always fresh and flavorful!

Food = all natural = original = well cooked = amazing!(had a jicama roast beef sandwich) Service = owner was there = not crowded because we went late = my wife’s birthday = not very welcoming at all = finally warmed up to us by the end = –1 star. I don’t want to be critical, but I guess I do because I am on Unilocal. This is a small town though and I want to see places like this succeed. I thought maybe it was just an off day so the guy(who I think is the owner) didn’t seem too welcoming to us. We had questions and really wanted to learn about the place, but it just seemed like we were interrupting… which was weird because there was no line at the time we went in. I am not always in the best mood for sure, but when people want to buy my product, I feel honored and happy. I don’t expect the guy to kiss my ass, but here in a small town I want to feel like I am greeted kindly. I moved to Central Oregon because of the nice people. If this guy really welcomed us and made us feel awesome about the fact that we just spent $ 10 on a sandwich — which was delicious, then I would want to support the place and go back and spend more money. At this point in my life with my budget, $ 10 is a large cost(it was actually $ 9.75) for a sandwich, so I need a lot of reasons to go back besides just the taste. We also had a homemade soup which was tasty and warming on chilly day. If I could do 4.33 stars, I would, but I will round down because there is room for improvement. I am definitely going to try it again because there are a bunch of sandwiches on the menu that looked awesome!

First off the sandwiches here are amazing. Best in Redmond. Unfortunately I think the guys who work there know this and feel they can get away with terrible customer service. Rude and unprofessional, completely unprovoked. My wife and I have been here a few times hoping the service would get better because the food is so good. It hasn’t gotten any better with any of our visits and today was the last try. This is coming from someone with 15 years of customer service experience. Also to be out of most of the bread options and meat options for sandwiches by 1:00 is bad. It’s not like I was getting lunch at 3:00. That happened on several visits. We are done. They’ve lost 2 customers.

Split Pea & Ham soup was fantastic, as was the pizza. This place was packed for lunch and I can see why — this is an awesome lunch spot. We’ll be back for sure.

Great downtown lunch date spot. I ordered the salad, soup, bread combo. It was refreshing and good. Ask for more dressing next time. The soup of the day was tomato Basil and satisfied. I also ordered a kids grilled cheese which is not on the menu for my son. Before leaving we also purchased a loaf of delicious day old onion/pepper bread. The prices seemed a little steep for a counter service establishment. Incorporating a kid friendly section of the menu with prices around $ 2.50 for small appetites would keep me coming back.

I loved how fresh the ingredients are! We enjoyed how quickly the food was made and ready to go. I like the sustainability of this restaurant and how great the food was. I also enjoyed the potato salad.

Great choice for lunch in Redmond. Had an amazing Chicken Salad with Pears, Sliced Walnuts, Cranberry Raisins, Bleu Cheese, and a Vinaigrette Dressing. Very filling and simply delicious! I will be craving this salad from Soup2Nuts again very soon.

My sister and I went to this marvelous, little sandwich shop later in the dining day, so, unfortunately, they were out of many of their yummy-sounding offerings. However, the sandwiches we had were soo good! I ordered the Reuben and Sis had a roast beef-turkey cold sandwich. After tasting each other’s selections, we had to share – they were both delicious! The meat was tender, the produce(lettuce, onions, etc.) were fresh and flavorful. Loved the sauerkraut on the Reuben – not too sour yet with a nice tang. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients; he also offered us samples of the Soup of the Day which was Peppercorn Beef. The soup was thick and flavorful, but maybe a little too thick, like country gravy. When I come back to Redmond I will have to visit this place again.

I wanted to order a reuben. They were out of the ingredients. I am gluten free so I ordered a tuna sandwich wrapped in lettuce. He said he couldn’t do that. So, I said do u have lettuce, just put it on lettuce and I want some onion. He said they didn’t have much onion left. I got a bland, low quality tuna scoop on a lettuce leaf, no onion. It was pitiful. I have severe gluten intolerance and he was acting like I was bothering him to order without bread. They run out of onion. omg! how ridiculous. The guys working in there are grumpy and have a bad attitude.

Yum! This was a great place to stop during our road trip. Everything they make is super fresh! I had a turkey sandwich with simple ingredients but it was delicious! My husband had a pesto pizza. I would highly recommend especially if you need to get out of the car for a bit!

Small homey location. The owner took our order at the counter and was very helpful and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the blue, pear salad. It was entirely to large for me. My husband raved about his turkey pesto sandwich on the daily homemade bread. I wished I’d gotten the soup of the day pumpkin curry… But my salad was SO big. In old downtown Redmond. Nice…

First things first, the food is excellent. I’ve had several of their sandwiches and have loved all of them. fresh, hot, flavorful. A no nonsense menu with some pretty interesting combinations of flavors that are pretty fantastic. My first trip there the owner was working the counter and offered me a sampling of the soup of the day while I made up my mind about what to order. Had the Italian sandwich and it was amazing, but the lettuce had brown spots on it. Not the end of the world and didn’t effect the flavor. Items are freshly made and when they are out of ingredients that item is no longer available that day. So, order early to get what you want. Or if what you wanted isn’t available, take a risk and order something else, I think you will be pleased with whatever your selection. So why doesn’t this place get five stars? Zero ambience. And unless the owner is waiting on you, the service is not great. I always love the guy behind the counter on his phone texting as I walk up to the counter for service. And then on his phone immediately after, not waiting for the credit card transaction to finish. And to be honest, a few more side dishes would be good maybe just a bigger selection of potato chips. I’m new to the Redmond lunch scene having just started working downtown, so a bit of exploring to be done and very pleased with my first discovery. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and take it to go.
