Lousy service, greasy food. Tandoori Fire is a much better choice if you are craving North Indian food in Redmond.

One of the worst indian restaurant around. Bad service. The guys who own this place need to ensure they provide good service before anyone goes back there. Take away went into trash as the quality of the food was bad.

Bad food. I just took a pickup from here and the food was bad enough to throw away. Seemed stale. I won’t be visiting this place again. We’d ordered from home and when we went to pick up the food, we were told one of the items is not available — would something else do? I was like, yea sure, took the package home to see that what they’d given seemed like deepfried old food which had been fried again just before handing it to us. It had oil oozing out of it and was hard enough to know it had been fried more than once. Called, them to tell them that they served me bad food and they basically slammed the phone down. NEVEREVERGOINGBACK.

I went there tonight, and had a real adventure. I went with a party of 10 people. We arrived at 7, ordered quickly, and only had our food served by 8.30, with the vegetarian dishes coming 20 minutes later! The waitress was hiding in the kitchen most of the time, managed to get our orders wrong, and didn’t do basic things that a waitress should do. For example, she just stacked the plates in the middle of the table, or when serving water she spilled lots on me! She also got the order astonishingly wrong, bringing an extra Naan, forgetting drinks, forgetting some bread, then switching 6 people’s food when serving it! None of the food was spicy. We were asked spiciness levels from 1 – 5, but even the people who chose spicy food had it very mild. No idea why, maybe another mistake? The worst part, we were charged 18% gratuity at the end as we were a large party.

The service is horrible! I ordered food through a Living Social delivery deal, as I was feeling crummy and didn’t feel like going out to get food. I noted that the site said there was a $ 15 minimum delivery charge, which was no problem, given most of the entrees were roughly that price. I received a confirmation stating my food would be delivered within the hour. 30 minutes after that time passed, I called them, and they rudely informed me that my food was waiting there for me to pick it up, despite the fact I received an e-mail stating it’d be delivered. The very rude employee says«We don’t deliver for under $ 30,» to which I replied«Well your site says $ 15.» He didn’t bother to reply other than asking me if I still wanted my order. I politely informed him that I did not want the food and that he just lost a potential regular customer(I was excited about having a potential regular Indian delivery place)! I hung up and called Living Social, who said they’d deal with them, and were extremely apologetic. You couldn’t pay me to give this place another try after that attitude!

I purchased a Living Social deal and this company backed out of the deal claiming that they had a minimum delivery of $ 25 although the Living Social deal CLEARLY said $ 15. I waited for my order for over an hour before placing a call to the restaurant where the individual who answered stated that it ‘wasn’t his problem’. I received no phone call notifying me of this. Instead, I sat here and waited for my food. If you want good Indian food, go to Tandoori Fire. They are polite and the food is great. Avoid this place!

the place has gone downhill in the last month or so. what started of as really promising enterprise has turned into a extremely poor Indian food experience. everything from the poor service, bad ambiance(no air conditioning), bland and tasteless food to the high price makes me want to give them a 1 star.

Came in because«Lunch Buffet» sign was displayed outside. Went in and there was no lunch buffet, instead my options were entrees that I thought were overpriced for lunch time. $ 10 for daal and rice, methinks not. Especially, when you can get the same dish plus a little more for less at other nearby restaurants. It was 12:30 on a mid day and the place was dead. I agree with the other poster, avoid the typical warnings signs of empty lot, and empty seats.

We live right across the street from this place, so when it opened we were cautiously excited(the cautious part being that the Indian place there before it was veggie only, and we likes our chicken). First time we stopped by was with a Groupon. We each ordered butter chicken and naan. It was tasty, but as is common with ordering a la carte at Indian restaurants, it was fairly small and pricey at about 13 bucks an entrée. The service wasn’t good, took forever to get anyone’s attention, but we decided to give it another try for buffet. Came back about a week later and it turns out they stopped doing buffet. Well, that was it for that place. That would have been the end of that story, except that just yesterday I saw a sign that buffet was back. We were blocked from taking our car out today because of the Derby thing, so we decided to give it another try. It’s a fairly small offering, but all of the things we wanted were there: butter chicken, tandoori chicken, rice, naan, aloo … something, deep fried ball of peas and potatoes and whatnot. We arrived fairly late for lunch, around 1:30 or so, so the trays were a little empty, but when I mentioned that I wanted some butter chicken they made up a new tray for us. I understand buffet is tough, you need volume of items to attract people, but you also need a volume of people to make a buffet cost effective, and there weren’t alot of people there. We liked everything. The butter chicken was tasty, the aloo thing was good, the naan is excellent, and the tandoori was dry but tasty. The service was much better this time around, and they have outdoor seating! We got to sit outside in perfect weather and watch the derby. And it was 9 bucks for the buffet, which is quite reasonable. We will definitely be back, probably a little earlier in the afternoon.

The food was OK… nothing super different than other Indian restaurants in the area but was good. The service was pretty slow and made a few mistakes. Used a groupon here… I don’t think there was anything special here that would bring me back over other Indian restaurants in the area right now unfortunately.

Terrible. We love Indian food and have eaten at many places in many states. Chicken tikki masala was salty. Saag paneer was salty and swimming in oil, no cream to it. Rice portion was very small. We got a Groupon deal, well, no deal. Rating on Groupon was 4 of 5. Should have looked on Unilocal too for rating. Never coming back.

I came here yesterday with a friend for lunch and the service here was so poor that we ended up walking out after around fifteen minutes and going elsewhere for lunch instead. Let’s see what all was bad: 1. Walked in and there was nobody from the wait staff present. Stood around for a couple of minutes before someone showed up. They clearly saw we were there but proceeded to do other things. Only after saying something did he ask us to sit down wherever we wanted. 2. We sat down at a booth and did not have anyone show up for any purpose. Didn’t get menus, didn’t get water. After about 5 – 10 minutes of this I ended up getting up and grabbing menus myself(which the lone guy working there clearly saw me do). 3. Sat down for another five minutes or so and still had nobody attend to us. At this point we decided that it was not worth it to stay any longer. This wasn’t a problem of them being understaffed either as there were only 2 other tables(3 people total) in the entire place. In summary, I would not recommend coming here under any circumstances. There are many, many Indian restaurants in the area with really good food that actually care about and pay attention to their customers.

I came here today for a business meeting lunch on the advice of an Indian friend that is a restaurateur since they recently opened about 4 months ago. They serve northern Indian food. They just got their beer and wine license today. I received wonderful friendly service. We ordered and the food came out very quickly. My Japanese friend had never had Indian food before and was amazed by the taste, spices, and presentation. What I like most about this place is that it is «a la carte,» cooked-fresh-to-order unlike all the other Indian restaurants with their rotting-in-the-chafing-dish-well, dried-up, and over-cooked all-you-can-eat-buffet. The prices were very reasonable and good portions. I had the freshly baked garlic naan bread from the clay tandoor oven, samosa chaat, lamb biryani, daal makhani. For dessert we had the gulab jamun in syrup that is made with condensed milk, unlike the other restaurants where they use Bisquick. Admittedly the signage for this place is very poor, but it has it’s own parking lot and outdoor dining with a gazebo.

Veggies stay away… We ordered close to 10 dishes and only the chicken dishes could tickle our taste buds. Soups were the worst, tomato & chicken soups were watery with no salt or spices. The veggie starters, paneer curries and other dishes were plain! Relief came in Awesome Chicken tikka kababs. The other chicken dishes were ok. What made it worse was the slow service, the curries came first & then the naans & rotis. All this on a Monday night when our group of 11 were the only customers for dinner!!!

I went to Nirvana the first time the week that they opened. Food was pretty good, but not spicy enough. I figured I’d give them another shot. On my second visit, I ordered butter chicken. I received Mango chicken. Upon looking at the plate, I knew the entrée was the wrong item and commented to the person who brought out my food. My server apparently did not speak English and walked away while I was still mid-sentence. Not ok. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to flag down anyone else. Finally, I gave up as it was now an hour after I had placed my order and I was starving. However, they never brought rice. Once again I try flagging down someone and gave up. I ate my overly-sweet dish and vowed never to return.

Don’t do it. Don’t ignore the usual warning signs: 1) empty parking lot, 2) empty tables. I rather prefer Trader Joe’s Chicken Tikka Masala at the frozen food section.
