So you got in trouble?
Relax!
Ok, maybe cry a little, but don’t have a complete melt down just yet.
This place opens at exactly 8:30am on the dot, lines form around 8:10am. Get here well before your court time, like atleast 20mins, 30 if you’re scared shitless. Get through security (depending on the time of day, it could take a bit), check the 2 screens in front of you, find your name and which courtroom you need to be in. Wait for your lawyer outside of it, if you don’t find your lawyer, go into the courtroom to be accounted for.
Watch other people go up to the stand, listen to their case and how the judge/​prosecutor handle it– if you’re representing yourself I highly recommend this. Hell, if you’re representing yourself get there an hour early and do this. That way you are a bit more prepared and educated.
If you have an experienced lawyer they probably already know the judge and prosecutor, so it does ease the tension a little.
I gave this place four stars because, well how many courts have you been to?
Dress decent. I was amazed that some women wore super low cut shirts (trashy kind, not the «aren’t I too hot and firm to be locked up?» kind), ugg yak fur boots and don’t get me started on the men. Did you even shower?
And if you are questioning investing in a private lawyer, don’t question. Just get one. Research, research, research. Both your lawyer and your charges.

Well, the good news: if you just need to see the court clerk to get the SMD certificates for your ticket, or pay a citation, or other matter, there is usually no line, and parking is easy to find. The bad news, you’re probably here because of a ticket.
