I really enjoyed eating here… The food and service were both outstanding!!! If I lived here, I would probably be eating here every single day of the week, it was that good…

I went there for breakfast with a long time Redlands resident who recommended it. It was clean and neat and my friend enjoyed her breakfast. But. I ordered the asparagus omelet. It was made with NASTY canned asparagus. I asked to speak to the manager but I was told he wasn’t in. So I called at a later date. I thought about coming here to Unilocal first, but I thought, no, I’ll talk to them first and hopefully they’ll see my point. Although I was completely polite, he was at first suspicious(of what?) and then defensive. He didn’t see anything wrong with slimy asparagus. So I won’t return.

My go to local diner breakfast. I kind of love everything about this place. It has that old yet comfortable place that feels right in the early morning, kind of like being at my grandparents house. The food(breakfast wise) is great and the servers work hard to keep it coming. Give it a shot, but after 9am be prepared to wait for 10 – 30 min.

Good food though portion size of sandwiches varies according to size of bread. A bit of a wait, crowded & noisy. Waitress attentive. With much appreciated water refills.

Food is delicious! I always get the«create your own omelet». Eggs Benedict is also delicious! Worth the wait if there is one and be patient on the service, they’re busy.

This place was pretty good! Small little café, really clean, great location, excellent customer service, good prices and the food was hardy, well portioned and delicious. Excellent place to have breakfast, I highly recommend the Mcduff’s cristo.

First thing I noticed was how homey and warm this diner felt. Like walking into someone’s house. Wait was a little slow and they seemed pretty busy on a Saturday morning around 11. The service wasn’t bad but you could tell they were all quite preoccupied. Food was good! The cinnamon roll came out hot and dripping with melted frosting. It was enjoyable. Also tried the McDuff’s mash and the biscuits and gravy breakfast. Both were quite heavy and warm and very filling. Neither of us could finish more than half. I liked both just fine but can’t really say I’ll be back anytime soon.

Wow, Kayla was fantastic. She’s super courteous, friendly, and fast! The food came out perfect and there was so much of it I had to take half of it with me!!! It’s a cute diner and it seems like there are a lot of regulars, good ambiance and friendly level of noise

When I was looking up the location it was a little hard to find if you’re not a local and already know about this place. It’s right across from Bank of America. Or it’s right by muffin top but there’s this little fountain area and you have to walk all the way down and you’ll see the other entrance. Surprisingly it’s a really tiny restaurant. So It’s not really great for big groups. I ordered eggs Benedict because it’s usually my go to breakfast at most places, but I didn’t like it so much here. The area of the restaurant is nice though because it’s in downtown Redlands so there’s nice shops and things to do around there.

Awesome 1st experience. My son plays fball for the U of R and we were in town to take him home for the Easter weekend. Stopped in on a Friday morning. It was busy but the wait wasn’t long. Friendly workers, speedy service, and GREAT food. We had the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs and home fries because of Lent and not being able to eat meat. Fabulousness. We will come back again!

Because the new location for Carolyn’s was not yet opened, my boyfriend and I decided to come to McDuff’s. The wait was a bit long, but that is because the place is a bit small. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the two eggs any style with Italian sausage. We also ordered a side of a cinnamon roll. I thought the Eggs Benedict was better than Carolyn’s. The home fries were also delish! My boyfriend really enjoyed his Italian sausage breakfast as well. The cinnamon roll was good, but not great. What made me the most sad was probably their coffee. I didn’t think their house brew was great at all. Our waitress was nice and attentive as any waitress could be when the place is understaffed. Today they seemed a bit overwhelmed, which is totally understandable. All in all, this place is great, but lacks a WOW factor. I think I’d come back for that Eggs Benedict, but other than that I think Carolyn’s wins out for me.

Came here on a busy Sunday and had breakfast. I got the waffle, that came with two eggs, and choice of meat and I asked for a side of salsa. Eggs were perfect Over Medium, Sausage patty was great, and I mixed it with there salsa which was so delicious! The waffle however was just okay, very flavorless. I would suggest adding some cinnamon, or nutmeg into the mix for future customers. Other then that service and food was good.

If you’re looking for s comfy cozy downtown diner this is it. Be prepared to wait on busy mornings, you can’t fit too many people inside. My eggs Benedict were wonderful, a bit too much sauce, but great and the home Fries are perfect. My husband praised his omelette, he orders a lot of them and he was especially impressed with this one. Other than that the only complaint we had was that the ham in both our dishes tasted off, like maybe it had been in the freezer Too long or was just about to turn.

I got the biscuits and gravy plate, which came with a split biscuit and homemade gravy topped with two poached eggs and home fries $ 9.95. I was craving creamy gravy, peppery, and with strong sausage flavor. What I got was a pinkish gravy that only mildly tasted like sausage, and some other flavor I didn’t care for. Also, I tasted butter flavor in the home fries, so I say they’re not using good quality oil to fry with. It tastes like the same stuff they use at all the chain restaurants. Nope, not going back.

Two words: FRENCHTOAST. Sooooo good. And the home fries? Delicious! Boyfriend got the Benedict, and says it beats Kafe Royale’s in Calimesa, but not Laws’ in Oak Glen. He said it was great though! This place is really, really small. I would be concerned with coming here on a weekend. That is the only reason it’s not 5 stars. I bet the wait would be crazy. We came here on a Wednesday and got seated right away. I also think it’s only street parking.

Just real good food. Fresh squeezed OJ and a nice eggs Benedict cooked correctly. Good service and atmosphere was fine. Restrooms were clean but out of paper.

My husband and I are always looking for good places to eat. This was GEM!!! It’s very small and intimate. The servers were very attentive. Even the customers were pleasant. More importantly the food was tasty, well presented, and we both had plenty to eat with leftovers. We will definitely be back very soon. I had the Hash with 2 poached eggs and hubby had the scramble. DELICIOUS!

I don’t know why people go to Carolyn’s when they could go to McDuff’s. The wait is never as bad although this place is super small too, and the food is actually good here. When I come here I like sitting at the counter. I feel like i’m in a movie ordering my usual breakfast at my usual spot, or a cop grabbing a cup of coffee before my shift. It’s weird, but it just transports you… well me at least! Anyways, I love getting their build your own omelets(mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado and hold the cheese) and comes with a side of potatoes. Bonus– wherever there is something with avocado on the menu and you order it, they give you a hearty portion of avo. No skimping here. I have found that to be rare at restaurants these days. Also, they give you an assortment of condiments for your food and I always go for their in house salsa. For drink I always get a freshly squeezed orange juice to top it all off. The service has always been helpful enough and they get the job done, couldn’t ask for more. The portions here are nice and large and right for the price– usually have to bring home half the omelet.
