Such a negative experience today… 3rd time a charm? NOT today!!! Pictures are intended to capture an uplifting, positive, happy moment or relationship. We were the first appointment(10:10). We had left around 9:15AM to arrive timely. They don’t open the store until 10AM… That seems very late… They had too many appointments scheduled for the same time, and, it seemed like one delay after the other… Bewildering… The young lady did not greet the owner or the pet by their names… Wrong. (We were the only people with a pet the entire morning.) Instead of asking us which background we preferred, we were being told… Wrong. The young lady put up the wrong background and never realized… It did not matter, as none of the pictures came out right anyway. The backgrounds were simply awful. We were passed from person to person. They were telling each other certain remarks… I sure saw that… In the front, 4 – 5 young ladies were being trained in front of us… So wrong… Never the same people working there anyway. One young lady tried to get some better pictures… but, it now was past noon, and we were tired, needed the bathroom, were totally unhappy with this entire set up… Came time to pay… none of the pictures were really very good, but what could we say??? The young lady tried to charge us a $ 10.00 pet clean up fee. Pet had not messed anything in any manner. There was NO clean up behind us at all. I refused to pay that. We were going to walk away totally. I told her that this was our 3rd time here, and that, we had never been asked, charged, informed of any such FAKE, NONSENSICAL fee. So, we were not charged that FAKE $ 10.00 gimmick fee. THIS type of bad behavior, bad experience, gimmicks, fake charges… are how you lose customers. People can take pictures at home, with a much better outcome. I took the time to describe this negative experience to inform others. When FAKE fees are added, and when they try to sell you more, and when the pictures are not good, you need to not be shy or afraid to speak up. The coupon states 3.99 or 7.99? They add a sitting fee $ 9.99 to that, plus tax… and try to sell you more… Why lead customers on? Say honestly the full cost, and that is it. This ought to be considered ILLEGAL, FRAUDULENT, and STOPPED. Booking too many training, and clients at the same time? Distractions, delays. Intended to use the pictures for the Christmas cards… NOT going to happen now. VERY disappointed.

This was my third experience at JCPenny Portraits and every time was fantastic! Natalie always gets the best smiles out of my kids and is able to snap the photo at just the right time. My two best friends bring their kids here now instead of doing school pictures. I am always surprised at the quality and amount of attention we receive.

This place is awesome!!! We’ve been coming here for almost four years and have had nothing but a great experience. Karen is awesome and my son loves her. She is the only one he will smile for. I highly recommend coming here for photos. I would recommend you make an appointment with Karen, the greatest photographer in the world!!!

We came here today for our Christmas/daughters first birthday photos. Our appointment was at 10:20 and we didn’t end up starting our session until 11. Apparently someone was a no show and so they were very understaffed. I believe the girl’s name was Natalie who helped us out. She kept apologizing and was very nice. She ended up taking our pictures and was as attentive as possible with helping us as well as people picking up orders and coming in to ask questions. She tried numerous times to get some additional help but was unsuccessful. We don’t blame her because she was more than helpful. However, especially during this holiday season, there should be some additional staffing so that no one has to wait like we did. Overall we were very happy with the quality, customer service of Natalie and the picture package we ended up purchasing.
