Yum! Fresh, healthy food. I was so impressed. Staff was friendly. The price was great too. My husband, myself and our 6 year old ate for under $ 25. There is a drive thru too. I’ll be back for sure.

Huge salads at affordable prices(less than $ 10). They have a drive-thru if you’re in a rush. Check-in on Unilocal and get 20% off a cold drink. Friendly service. Thanks, Madayne!

They have pretty good breakfast sandwiches. The drive thru gives the impression of fast food, but they are not fast at all. I’ve waited literally 12 minutes at the window to get a sandwich before.

They have some bomb sandwiches and salads here. Just had the avocado BLT. It was DELICIOUS! Also love their cranberry paradise salad. Food is definitely above average for Redding.

I come here everyday. I order an espresso and bagel. The staff is always friendly and the barista takes his or her time when pulling a shot for me. This attention to detail is why I come back everyday. The lethal combination of quality coffee and well trained baristas. Easily make this trendy spot one of the best espresso bars in Redding.

I came in on a Monday morning when the place was nearly empty. Half an hour later and I still didn’t have my pour over. The barista was just beginning to make it at that time. Multiple other customers who had arrived after me had received their orders already. When my husband asked about my order their only excuse was that they had a lot of tickets come in. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Just walked out of one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had! My wife and I placed a two drink order at 8:45 am. Fairly simple l– 12 ounce pour over and a 16 ounce French press. After 15 minutes I walked over and they were just finishing up my order. So I grab my drink after a 20 minute wait and went to sit back down and wait for my wife’s pour over. At 8:15 after 30 minute wait, I walked over to the counter and she was just starting it! She looked up and I said«Is that my wife’s?» She said«yes we had a lot of tickets» When we placed our order there was only one other customer ahead of us. In a half hour that we had sat down they had ordered made and completed at least five other drinks for customers after us! I understand poor overs and French presses are not as quick as an espresso, however not starting an order for 30 minutes is unacceptable! I just asked for a to go cup — poured the rest of my in and left. There was no offer or apology or anything to make anything right. Very disappointing. So if you’re not in a hurry or if you just want a cup of drip coffee this might be a place for you.

This place has good coffee, food is over priced for what you get. I have been reluctant to add a review because I continue to give them the benefit of the doubt, it’s just coffee. But after 4 separate attempts at a white mokka w/whip cream and caramel and you still can’t remember to put it on!?? You have it written on the side of the cup, why is it so difficult. Its not rocket science, add a button to your register, or do something! I am just going to start going back to Starbucks and Dutch bros, cheaper, and I know it will be right.

This is a great place to eat! It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and a cool vibe inside. Fresh, local, organic foods, juices, smoothies, many loose tea choices as well as fair trade coffee drinks that are made by «real» baristas(rather than somebody pushing a button on an espresso machine that is designed to be «idiot proof.») If you like to buy high quality coffee that is freshly roasted(and whole bean, to be ground at home) Madayne has some great choices. I’ve roasted my own coffee at home for over 25 years, and yet I will often buy one of Madayne’s «pre-roasted» coffees, just because their roaster knows exactly what they are doing with the exotic, small-lot coffees from the finest coffee growing areas in the world. Regarding food, the half-sized salads are what most establishments would call«big,» and their regular-sized salads are served on an «OMG, how am I going to eat all that!» sized platter. And how about adding a side-order of hummus and fresh vegetables for $ 1. I couldn’t buy the chickpeas and veggies to make the dish at home for a buck! I don’t know how Madayne can pull off this very tasty snack for that ridiculously low price, but I loved taking advantage of the situation. Check it out – Madayne has great tasting, healthy food, and cheerful, talented cooks, baristas and servers: What’s not to love about that?

The service was great and super fast. I got the Brooklyn breakfast burrito and my BF got the chipotle bacon cheddar sandwich. Both were absolutely amazing! His came with tortilla chips which were also very good. Next time we visit Redding, we will be stopping through here again.

3rd time having the Fiery Philly Cheesesteak and every time it has been delicious! Wish it was a little hotter but I guess Sriracha always works well enough :-) Atmosphere of this place is great too. Great place to relax with a light meal and read a book or get some work done with the free wifi

The Lavender breve(on the sweeter side) was off the hook good. Friendly place, barista took the time to talk with us and find a drink for each of us. Huge energy cookie was De-Lish…highly recommended.

Holy breakfast burrito – not your SoCal breakfast burrito-not greasy and leaves you feeling satisfied rather than having a lump in your stomach. These are much more flavorful and experimental. Good size portions– husband ate entire burrito and was full and I ate just over half; so if you have small appetites I recommend splitting one. The American burrito is for bacon lovers and is just plain hearty goodness. The Northwestern is a «lighter» more bell pepper-ham-cheese flavors, but equally delish. Glad we found this local nook on our road trip down. Espresso drinks are thicker and stronger– with a carefully hand-prepared taste.

Haiku Review Nice strong espresso. melty veggie burrito. go organic, please! Good breakfast experience. I liked the food and space much better than From the Hearth, which was where I almost reluctantly went. I think the food here was less greasy and more well-composed. If it were organic I would give it 5 stars.

Visiting Redding, I was told this was the coffee spot to check out. Sure enough, the coffee is wonderful using a high quality roast. And the breakfast, yum! I enjoyed a veggie breakfast burrito twice within 4 days as it was the kind of thing you look forward to the night before. Wi-Fi signal is strong and dependable. Atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable. Thank you Madayne owners and staff for making my trip all the more lovely.

Went here with my family and we ordered a turkey basil sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and a barbecue chicken salad. Ambience was quiet and soothing and the service was pleasant, but the food was mediocre at best. For the sandwiches, there was very little substance — there was only one measly layer of meat in both(the bread took up around 90% of the sandwich) and the turkey basil sandwich only had two thin slices of tomatoes :| for what we paid, I expected a little more, though the portion sizes and flavor were decent. The sandwich bread was tasty albeit a little over-toasted. Salad was like a typical grocery store salad — fresh but nothing special. They forgot to put in the black beans as well. Probably won’t be back if given the chance, as there are better places to eat at that cost the same amount. This café is a pleasant place to work, though, as it’s peaceful and there’s free wifi.

Just a few thoughts… –Iced coffee was great($ 2.75)! It wasn’t a super clean flavor and definitely had some bitterness, but it was strong! I added some half-and-half but would not recommend the simple syrup — it ruined the taste of the coffee. –My husband and I ordered the Basil Turkey panini($ 9.29) to split. Unfortunately it only had grill marks on one side, and the other side was soft, not crunchy. It’s served with some strange tortilla chips, not exactly the type of chip I want with a sandwich. They were bland but a little thicker than your average tortilla chip. About halfway through our sandwich, we noticed there wasn’t any turkey but figured it wasn’t really worth it bringing it to their attention because… –It was a Thursday night around 7 pm and there were only 2 other customers/groups in the restaurant, so I’m not sure how the order got messed up. The teens behind the counter seemed more interested in their conversations and jokes than in providing more attentive service. I’d come here again for the coffee. They also sell some coffee gear/memorabilia. But that’s about the only reason I’d come. Perhaps this was a fluke visit; I sure hope so.

Maydayne had my mid-day blues screaming«Mayday, mayday» thanks to a large latte and late lunch. Olivia Z. and me found Madayne Eatery & Espresso thanks to the Unilocal app because si fueris Redding, Redding vīvitō mōre … and we fit right in with the gang of students, single parents, and locals taking advantage of free WiFi(password is the website address) and a shot of caffeine. My large Latte($ 4.85) was a latte. Just fine … because when in Redding, drink what Reddings drink.(3 stars) An Avocado BLT Panini($ 9.29) with extra Jalapeño slices was filling and fresh with a bit of spicy kick to go with Bacon, Avocado, Cheddar Cheese, Romaine, and Tomato in a grilled Panini. It’s classic comfort food whether you are from Redding or not.(4 stars) Olivia’s Turkey Bacon Wrap($ 8.59) wasn’t nearly as unique, but I don’t think you want a Turkey Wrap to be unique do you? The Bacon brought the bacon while Tomato, Romaine, and an Asiago Dressing filled in the gaps.(3 stars) When your feeling down … or just bored driving through Redding … seek help at Madayne Eatery & Espresso in the form of a casual coffee, fresh sandwich, and friendly rescue from a barista.
