Stopped in after making a harp purchase at Stoney End. Really fabulous burgers, terrific house made chips & onion rings. Fried walleye was really good and the au gratin potatoes are well worth the extra calories. Recommended.

We have gone quite a few times and always enjoy the food. Love their homemade french fries and sandwiches and the Jalapeño Jacki Burger. Service is quick and the people are friendly. Like the live music too.

We had dinner here and it was good service but we were the only one in the bar area. The food was decent but probably not worth what we were charged. The ribeye was not medium rare and was a pretty thin cut. It had a decent selection and the cheese curds were amazing. The cheese curds bumped it to 4 stars from 3.

Service was good and food was fresh, but be ready to wait. Six tables and 45 minute wait. Kitchen just can’t get it together. Wait staff tried their best. Long time before I return.

My girlfriend and I went for the first time today, you can build your own flight of four beers for six dollars! It was nice to try beer I wouldn’t normally and it didn’t break the bank to do so. We got the pork butt fries appetizer and those were phenomenal! I got the potato burger that has fried mashed potatoes between two patties that have melted cheese and bacon on them, but their chips… Damn. Their house made thin, crispy potato chips that stole the show. If you’re in Red Wing I HIGHLY suggest Marie’s! The staff was friendly and efficient! Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped here for lunch on our drive thru on a Saturday for a wedding. Ordered the Janelli Pizza it was a Chicken Caesar Salad on a hand tossed Pizza. Excellent flavor and crunchy romaine and croutons! My hubby had a tasty jalapeño burger. Great tap beer selection. A little bit of a wait on the food but it is worth it!

Went there on a Wed. Special was all u can eat Spaghetti & meatballs. Place was fully crowded. Didnt wait too long, likely cause our group all ordered the specials. Had a flight of beers. Think they were 4 –6 oz. 5 for $ 6 which was a good price. Service was great! Peggy took good care of our group. Had a few laughs w/her. Meatballs were excellent! Enjoyed the salad & soup bar. Things are modestly priced. Slightly on high end but not bad. We plan to return

My family and I visited Red Wing today with some friends. We decided to give this place a try. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child. We were greeted and sat at a table right away. The waitress got our drinks and took our orders right away. We sat down at our table about 12:45 as we sit and visit we realize how much time had gone by. 130 we still did not have our food. We ordered burgers and some wings nothing complicated. The waitress come out with their home made chips and some dip. Appologized for the wait and said the app was on them and our food would be ready in 10 to 15 min. We’ll 20 min went by and still no food. The place was not packed. There was one large group which we assumed that may ha e slowed down the kitchen a little but not an hour. The rest of the tables had 2 to 4 people at it. There may have been 8 other tables other then us. We watched as people that got seated after us were being served their food. We get that some«larger» groups it takes a little longer. So the waitress comes out again and one of us asked if the manager was going to take the food off our bill’s for the wait. She said she would ask the manager what they could do. She came back and said the manager was preparing our food as we spoke and when she gives us our food and we have a chance to eat she will talk to us then. Also their average ticket time was 40 min because everything is homemade. That was rediculous as far as we were concerned. At 215 we still had no food and had been there an hour and a half. We decided to get up and leave. After we left a waitress chased us down a half a block to tell is the food was ready. So my friends wife kind of gave the girl a piece of all our minds. So with that said IF your ticket times are really 40 min. I would highly advise mentioning that to your customers. 40 min wait for food is rediculous not matter if the food is «homemade» or not. We have been to plenty of restaurants and not been told the average ticket time is 40 min. We were disappointed.

We decided to head to Red Wing one Friday night for dinner, the wife and I usually pick a town to ride to and find a restaurant once we get there. This place was absolutely amazing. We had the fish fry which consisted of a salad bar, home made soup and rolls, fried chicken and broiled as well as fried cod. Trust me this isn’t your typical tasteless fried cod Friday night fish fry, the broiled was very good and all of this is only $ 11.

I came here in the spring on a road trip to Red Wing for lunch. While I enjoyed in my morning after burger, my significant other was not so happy with her BLT sandwich. She had no clue a BLT could go so wrong. So I guess it’s hit or miss around lunch time. The ambiance was dark and definitely gave that underground feel to it.

This was our 2nd attempt at lunch in Redwing, we sat at the bar, it was a busy Friday lunch the bartender was busy so the owner came out and served us. She was friendly, knowledgable and the service was great. We were traveling and only passing through but if we are in Redwing again, Marie’s Underground Tap Room would be our first choice. Thanks for a great start to our weekend getaway!

We ended up here during their fish fry buffet, and that is what we ended up going with. The lay of food was decent, but over all nothing tasted overly exceptional. It was your basic fried fish, ham, french fries, salad bar and a couple other things. They had bread pudding sitting out too, but that dried up in to someting unrecognizable to most. I had an older gentleman ask me if I knew what it was! Lol. The service on the other hand was good. Our waitress was very nice. The restaurant was big and I like the little theater set up they had. When in red wing again I would give them another try, but I’ll skip the buffet.

Stopped on a Saturday night at 7ish — place was dead. Kind of weird since it was a beautiful day and people out and about. Greeted pleasantly when we entered. Was seated and served immediately and also pleasantly by Marie. Wasn’t that hungry, so ordered grilled cheese. It came loaded with cheese and hot and gooey! The homemade chips were delicious as well. My spouse ordered morning after burger which also came hot off the grill. Would recommend if looking for American fare and will probably stop again when going through Red Wing.

Delicious food at great prices. Love the welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space for big parties. We visit here with several other families and servers are always welcoming and accommodating. Family friendly or good for an intimate date night.

Don’t let the dark stairwell to get into this place fool you, it’s worth the five star rating. Th salad bar is stocked with fresh vegetables daily and the soup is homemade. I had the beer cheddar soup and is was awesome! Took the advice of a fellow Unilocaler and went the burger route(well my husband did) the Underground burger is to die for and worth the additional wait they ask for to prepare it. It’s stuffed with cheddar cheese oozing out of it and bacon sizzling through and through… ahhhhh. What’s not to love?

Red Wing is a chicken town and no one does it better than Marie’s. Also the chicken wings with Marie’s sauce are the best wings I have ever had anywhere. The soups are homemade and always good; the pizza is the best in town. The homemade potato chips are amazing. The beer selection may not be the largest in the area, but it always contains some good ones to try. The staff is always great and it is a very pleasant place to talk and eat. There are probably some better places for fish fry on Fridays, but it is a very decent buffet and includes chicken, meatballs and very good bread pudding.(Note however that the chicken off the menu is better than the buffet since it is hot from the fryer and made just for you…)

First visit to Marie’s & we will be back! Vintage, throw-back restaurant, with good food at a great price. Service was efficient & quick. Enjoyed the well stocked salad bar that’s included with entrees, soups were tasty & homemade. Looking forward to trying the Friday fish fry!
