Pretty good food. Waitstaff was ok. Food came out quickly. Had a shake, was kind of mediocre, but still tasted generally good. Good fries! Seating could be comfier, but not bad. Glad they moved into this space, great stuff.

The food was good and plentiful the way the Eveready diner used to be. Would have been 5 stars but the service was a little slow

I’ve never really liked Red Hook Diner until I came into this diner by myself today for breakfast. While I don’t generally go in there alone, today’s experience for breakfast was rather actually pleasant. The breakfast menu, though only one page, had some real«treats» that I was impressed with — the Nutter Butter French Toast has always seemed to entice me quite a bit recently. I ordered a full stack of these. Not only did this come within a short time(10 minutes at most), but additional items such as the small orange juice all came out within a reasonable amount of time(of only a minute and a half or so). Though I didn’t like the price of the«rather tiny» small orange juice at $ 2.75, I could live with it for this trip only — I’ll try to remember for the next time. I’m actually impressed with how these French Toast’s looked. Not only were they cut diagonally and not doused in peanut butter(in contrast to the Everready in Hyde Park nearby), but being they had an adequate supply of bananas on them(though they weren’t spread out over the french toast and rather diced and laid diced and not spread out) they looked rather appealing. I ate these and moments later, the bill came. THe bill was a bit more than the average bill I always hope to pay, but for the amount of stuff I got, I could pre-plan for the«shock value» at close to $ 13 together(the french toast alone was over $ 9 itself and when you add the orange juice and tax… yeah, it’s interesting pricing here). And what’s even more appealing, is that with breakfast served all day, it’s no wonder this is a little known wonder all of a sudden for this town. While I might not like their dinner selection and service within the dinner rush, this trip during breakfast was rather a success that drove my thoughts towards this place a tiny bit more often — though I do hope that these trips can only take me for breakfast. Also, this is not an everyday place for me. I’ve never seen it as such, and I don’t ever expect to see it as anything else. But it worked in a pinch when I was out of ideas on places for breakfast on a rather warm(50+ degree morning in February).

After working in the area today my helper and I stopped for something to eat. We both opted to have breakfast for lunch. We both had wonderful breakfast. I had a Belgian waffle and my helper had a breakfast burrito and we both had coffee. I would encourage anyone that is in the area to stop in you won’t be disappointed!

The place was empty maybe 3 tables and one more table with kids I apreciate kids crayons and coloring mat but when we wanted to eat and have company I couldn’t even talk because waitress was giving me dirty looks. Than we order appetizers she was keep asking are we ready to order dinner I say I need more time so she took my husband and his friend order and say mine will order later how rude I’m a woman than she got mad so for refil drinks we need to ask busboy and at that time was only us and one man eating on other side of the diner. Well aren’t she suppose to be nice cause she work for tips too… I guess she don’t care

I love this place! I don’t make it in as often anymore but they always remember my «usual» and are really quick and friendly with service. The only diner in the area I’d go to.

This wobbles on a 3 rating. My husband ordered an omelet with home fries. The home fries were black on the edges so I asked them to substitute it with potato salad(since we were there for brunch) They came and gave him a plate but also gave me the wide eyed look of disbelief before doing so. I let that slide and while we were eating there(there wasn’t more than 2 other tables) the crew in the back gathered over the counter and were yelling and laughing having a little party. I ordered tuna salad triple decker with potato salad it was very good. A huge quantity I brought the rest home for dinner, it had a nice side of pickle and coleslaw which seemed very fresh. I had a coke with mine and it was in a nice size glass.

Tried this place for the first time with a to-go order. While my calm strips and fries were excellent. The pickles that came with my burger were way too salty to even eat. I got the mushroom burger and was disappointed to discover that they used canned mushrooms instead of fresh.

This place embodies the spirit of Americana without the kitsch. Simple fresh food in the heart of Hudson valley. It was well worth the trip. Thank you!
