Delicious! We had a group of six and we all shared bites so I was able to try a variety of foods. We started with the appetizer specials… Grilled corn on the cob with pesto and Parmesan cheese! Yes please! We thought about cancelling our food order and just having more of that! The octopus appetizer was cooked perfectly and had a nice tomato sauce. I would skip the salads!!! They are extremely overpriced for what you get. $ 14 for the size of a small starter salad. Entrees… The chicken limon was moist, lemony and melted in your mouth! The seasonal ravioli was homemade and perfectly seasoned. I would skip the desserts next time. We tried 4 off the menu and none were anything spectacular.

Thank you to Bry and the rest of the Birravino staff for helping me to make my parents’ anniversary special. We love Birravino!

Delicious! We went for a friends birthday back in December and the service was great. We brought our own cake and they helped us surprise the birthday girl with it. I ordered the eggplant parm and it was filling, with impressively thin layers of stacked eggplant. Yum! Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Went to eat on Sunday night and they said a 30 Minute wait which was fine. We sat at bar and had to wait 10 minutes for a bartender to drop a drink menu off not say a word and wAlk away. We ordered drinks and a appetizer which was like pulling teeth. Finally I had enough asked for my check and went to a table to have dinner. Waitress was great pleasant and food was good. Don’t eat At bar or don’t look for service

This is such an awesome place. It’s beautifully decorated inside, the bar has that quaint, dim lighting feel… Very laid-back. The dining area décor is just fun, with the old bicycles hanging from the ceiling and the large picnic style tables that just remind you of the old Italian family dinners on Sunday. Really great Italian dishes.

I’ve been wanting to Birravino for quite some time so glad I finally got there. I had the calamari which I found to be a little odd with vinaigrette. Also a side of the olives which were just ok. Dinner consisted of the Margarita pizza which was tasty. The bartenders were friendly & helpful but as the night went on seemed to forget we were there(we were at the bar). I had one of their beers, a stout which I must say was very tasty & enjoyable. Overall I’d say this is a nice place, but not a place I would frequent.

I liked this restaurant before the owners changed the name to Birravino, the menu and the look. Now the food is average at best, when it was much better before. My wife ordered a Cesar salad with chicken. What she got was a plate with about 4 romaine leaves on it, 3(she counted) capers and 4 small pieces of sliced chicken. Dressing was nothing to get excited about either. I ordered their Tonno tuna fish panini which was served on burnt French bread(about all I could taste was the burnt bread), two small spoonfuls of plain tuna with two hot peppers on it. That was the sandwich although they did serve it with a tiny bowl of roasted peppers with 3((I counted) cannellini beans. Service was poor, waiter was slow & not friendly and I had to chase him down for the check because he hung out at the bar talking to friends. Spend your money at other much better restaurant in town.

Welcoming and professional staff. We enjoyed the informal pub ambience. Our reservation was honored. The grilled salmon was prepared medium as ordered and was of excellent quality. The waiter substituted roasted potatoes for the broccoli rabe. My guest enjoyed the chicken Francais. While I did think it was a little pricey at $ 90 for lunch including tip, and no alcohol… we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will return.

Love the pizza here. Entrees are all delicious. Sunday sauce smelled great! One of our favorite places. Bar music is awesome great tunes, some of bartenders could be more attentive only negative. But a great place for food and drink.

I have mixed feelings about this place, the atmosphere was super loud. The service and kitchen communication is unreliable and the prices seem a bit high for some items. I was at a large gathering, 11 people and we had 1 waitress who did the best she could but there were issues getting out appetizers right and at the same time. Equally some confusion over the orders and a plate that should never have left the kitchen. The entrees came out and were excellent even delivered to the right person without question. The food was exceptional and this redeemed the joint a bit. Overall I do not plan to return, it’s too loud in there to have a dinner conversation and although good the menu wasn’t very exciting. The fresh pasta is a plus but I wasn’t blown away. This is just my opinion and I may be a bit more demanding that the average diner.

My sister and I were so excited to try this place out and were not disappointed. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night(highly recommend making reservations!) and were immediately greeted with an intoxicating aroma. Although we had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation time, the staff was attentive and communicative with us about our table. I was instantly drawn to the décor and the rustic Italian vibe. Nothing makes me happier than exposed brick, string lights, and industrial accents. I love how extensive the drink menu is, especially since I am a huge wine lover. We shared the Brussels sprouts salad and calamari for appetizers, which were both excellent. For our entrees we opted for the specials of the night — a bone-in pork chop and lemon chicken. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. We had two Nutella desserts, a cookie sandwich and a cheesecake, which were phenomenal. Just the right amount of food! Our server, Richie, was amazing and so helpful with helping us decide what to order. He was so personable and knowledgeable, probably one of the best waiters we have ever had. The service in general was A+ — our water glasses were never empty and our tables were cleared immediately after each course. Overall we had a great experience and cannot wait to go back!

Awesome. One of the best dining experiences in the area! Some reviews denote it’s pricey, but compared to what? Fast food chains? Which it definitely is not. We ordered 3 delicious pasta specials at $ 23/ea(eggplant and pasta, mushroom raviloi) and an awesome pork chop special at $ 29. One of the best chops ever tasted. Super friendly hostess, knowledgeable, polite and attentive waiter.(Tomas) When we were leaving every staff member said goodbye and thank you, even those who didn’t serve us. Will go back for sure!

Had the rigatoni special with the lightly-fried eggplant bites, absolutely fantastic. Also did the meat and sausage pizza, along with the rice ball apps and a cheese plate. Everything was delish. Prices were very affordable with our selected bottle of wine costing $ 39 and being near the higher price points for the menu. You can easily find a few others for less. Would definitely go again, but make a reservation first, bc this place is BUSY.

What an exciting and might I add, TASTY, addition to red bank. I don’t believe I ever came here when it was Basil T’s but I thoroughly enjoyed it as Birravino. I love the industrial look inside and despite what other reviewers have said, was not bothered by noise at all. They have an excellent selection of home brewed beer and a good wine list. The food is FRESH and very, very good! The menu items are a little pricey but worth it in my mind, especially if you are out for a special night. I will be back to try more of the menu!

Love this place! Great food, good atmosphere, can get a little overcrowded which is annoying when you’re waiting for your table(which you called and reserved ahead of time) and trying to get a drink from the bar. Other than that, the service is good and they’re able to comfortably accommodate bigger groups.

To preface, Birravino is pretty much my favorite all purpose restaurant and I’m only failing to award it 5 stars because it, like its predecessor Basil-T’s(previously pretty much my favorite all purpose restaurant) – is overpriced. Not enough so to stop us from going when the occasion suits, but perhaps enough to prevent us from frequenting it more fre– Um, anyway… To clarify, it’s not maybe overpriced or kinda overpriced or overpriced with respect to the income levels of some individual patrons; it’s overpriced, as in the owner simply demands too much of your money for what he is giving you in return. But…the food – from salads to entrees to desserts – is almost consistently excellent. Rigatoni with extraordinarily light and airy cubes of very well-seasoned eggplant is/was(was/is?) a staple of both restaurants and I’ve ordered and enjoyed it many times. A recent butternut squash ravioli special was exceptional. Service has always been fine, and the atmosphere both cool and comfortable. We typically go for a weekend dinner, and both the bar and dining areas are always packed, and following that, loud. As for the high prices, when not looking for or concerned about a complete dining experience, splitting a(usually far too large for one person anyway) salad and a thin crust pizza helps with that. Be aware of the possibility of community seating and act/request accordingly. Without question try Birravino over the horrific in so many ways and anachronistic – and not at all in a good way – Buona Sera. And I meant, it was a staple at Basil-T’s and currently is one at Birravino. Or maybe it’s «I mean…» Writing’s hard.

Fantastic lunch with family! Made reservations via OpenTable for 6. It is quite possibly the server that will make or break the experience, we had a lovely women who knew the menu in and out and had tasted almost everything, and gave great recommendations. LOVED the spaghetti and meatball! Sole wears fantastic, eggplant parm was a winner as well. Tried their Summer Love, And Etna beers, great flavor. What made the experience great was a combo of décor, the aroma of garlic and basil, a round table near the window and great company. Will definitely return.

Went here Saturday night for a birthday dinner. All I can say is the food is unreal. For appetizers we split the calamari and prosciutto potato croquettes. The main course I ordered was a special — short rib on top of pumpkin mashed potatoes with pumpkin seeds on top. First time in a long time that I finished a plate and felt completely satisfied. Short ribs were amazing. The mashed potatoes were sweet, and a perfect portion. For beer(I like my beers dark) I had the house brew dolomiti stout, which was delicious, and follow that with a breckenridge vanilla porter. Absolutely amazing meal all around.

Excellent for a casual meal. Our waitress was very personable and knowledgable of the menu. Our food was great. If you’re going at a peak time make a reservation.
