Leo Petroglyph is part of the Ohio History Connection’s network of state memorials. It is a small site, comprising several acres. The central feature is the petroglyph which itself is fascinating. But do not miss the trail into the gorge which is some of the most scenic public land in the area. The small site has few amenities and is on back roads. You can see the whole place in two hours or less. Do not go there expecting the Hocking Hills or the Great Smokys, but for it size it packs a lot in. If your expectations are set accordingly it is a great place to visit.

Indigenous artifacts with a nice nature hike in the gorge. What else could you ask for on a spontaneous roadside stop?
