So I will begin my review by stating that I’m a novice racing fan, so if my criticism is too harsh, it is because I probably do not know any better. I have been to the Lawrenceburg speedway in Indiana, and at the time I thought the venue and facilities were a little rough. This place makes lawrenceburg look like a stop on the F1 circuit in Europe, and maybe that is because it is a lower level of racing so this track does not generate as much as revenue as lawrenceburg? The concessions were subpar, but modestly priced, and more importantly… no booze. I was wanting to watch some racing with a merican light beer mixed with some dust from the track, and instead I enjoyed bubblegum. And FYI, the bathrooms are just port o johns. The good. I felt the announcer did a really good job, and when a racer won his/her feature race the announcer would go and interview them, which I felt was a nice touch. Most importantly though, the racing, which was decent. Some of the divisions were painful to watch because they were constantly having to restart, so that was a little frustrating. So in summation, this will be a unique experience to see dirt track racing at its grittiest(I mean that with all respect), and if you are a city guy like me, you’ll be able to experience a different aspect of American culture.
