I have been here once last fall(2014) and was very disappointed. I had a very sore throat, the nurse did a strep test which came back negative and then said the only thing they could prescribe was some«magic mouthwash» to help my throat feel better. I went to the pharmacy and the mouthwash was going to cost almost $ 50. I went home and did my own remedies, I thought it was crazy to spend that much for something I could only use once. Needless to say the nurses were not very helpful because there next time I had an extremely sore throat, which I get about once a year, I went to a different walk in clinic in Rapid City that actually prescribed some medicine not just mouthwash that is actually designed for children. Another rant would be that I got the bill for that one time visit and it was expensive even with insurance, I believe it was around $ 100. Save yourself and go to another walk in clinic in town!

If there was a ZERO star that is what the location at Baken Park would get. It is So obvious they do not care about sick patients. They denied any assistance because the patient did not have a photo ID. We took him to location on Mt Rushmore and it was no problem. We were able to bring the ID in later. The patient had pneumonia. It was probably a blessing that we didn’t end up here. By the sound of the other reviews on google and Unilocal they offer HORRIBLE care and service. I recommend you keep driving to Mt Rushmore road!!!

This is a great clinic. Very clean and modern. They have iPads in the waiting area and citrus water, coffee & tea. I was brought back and seen quickly by the doctor. I am just visiting the area and needed to see a doctor so I am glad I came here. If you are not having an emergency, it may be a good idea to make sure they are in your insurance network so you avoid paying extra costs.

I am very dissatisfied with black hills urgent care. I was told it would take about 15 minutes to see the doctor I waited over 45 minutes. I saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes. I paid a $ 15 co-pay for my insurance and a couple weeks after received a bill for an additional $ 154. The total bill was over $ 200 for less than five minutes. No lab tests or x-rays were performed. The service is poor and the prices are rediculously expensive. I paid the bill but will never use Black Hills urgent care again.
