Food here is always consistently good. Love the Sunday to Thursday fixed price menu which provides plenty of options. Love the eggplant rollatini and the mussels. Nice outside dining area in good weather during the warmer months.

Atmosphere is nice with outside dining! Food is good, BUT, there was hair in my entrée and I informed the waiter. It seemed to be a total non issue for the staff! There was no acknowledgement of any kind, which was very disappointing. There are many wonderful restaurants around the area, I don’t need to be a patron in an establishment that doesn’t acknowledge a complaint or problem by a customer!

BYOB. Food was delicious! Had the«Price Fix» which was more than enough food. Included appetizer, entrée, dessert and coffee. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very professional and the buser was very polite. The Osso Bucco and Veal Milanase as well as the appetizers and dessert were amazing! Beautiful outdoor setting. Will definitely be going back.

I went there last night for dinner. The food was average and they were severely understaffed. I doubt I’ll ever return. There are so many other choices in the area for Italian food.

I’ll keep this very simple: — BYOB — Very reasonably priced — Decent portions — Amazing service — Fantastic food — Lovely outside dining I was there yesterday for the first time, and I will absolutely be going back during the summer to enjoy the outdoor seating and discover more of the menu.

The place we originally wanted to go was fully booked. So I searched all over for a nice place to bring my mom to for Mother’s Day, and I was so excited to find this place. It had a high rating on this site and most of the reviews were extremely positive. It was BYOB and Italian is one of my mom’s favorite types of foods. But our experience was less than fantastic. First of all, they had no mention of the ‘Special Mother’s Day’ menu that they had on their website. Which ticked me off as born my mother and I like to look at the menu beforehand to see what we would like. The menu they had for Mother’s Day had almost no original items on it, so my mom was left without anything she found appealing. We also noticed that they had raised the prices of the items that were from their everyday menu. The appetizers were disapointing, but mostly alright. The eggplant rollatine was a little heavy for an appetizers but the flavor was good. The fried calamari was soggy, chewy, and a little band. But I still held on to higher hopes for dinner. After settling for Linguine with Clams for her dish, and the seafood spaghetti for myself, I was quite shocked and angered to find that both her clams and my lobster were too tough to eat. My poor mom was left without dinner. On Mother’s Day. I can’t express how outraged I am. I don’t know if they were having an off day or if the reviews I saw were outdated. But I advice everyone who reads this to stay away.

I don’t understand all the stars Did I pick the wrong day? Mother’s Day? Such a disappointment the appetizers were ok, calamari a little tough and soggy, eggplant rollatini was heavy but tasty I asked the waiter if I should get the pork ossabucco or the linguini with clams and he said the linguini The clams tasted like they were cooked 20 minutes more than they should have been So tough they were inedible They didn’t charge me but then again I didn’t get a Mother’s day meal either(nothing new there lol) My daughter’s seafood was tough as well, but she ate most of the seafood so they charged for that I would not go back here based on this meal Again so disappointed

Verona is literally a hidden gem! We have been visiting there regularly for a couple of years now, and despite being demanding foodies, we have never been anything but impressed! Food and service are phenomenal, and BYOB is only a plus. And don’t let the location fool you, inside is quite nice and comfortable, almost elegant. Try their mussels fra diavolo appetizer – amazing! And their three-course price fixed menu is unbeatable!

We come here a lot… reservations a must. Love that it’s a BYO. Service is always good, but a little scattered. Price fix menu a good option, but if you stick with basic classic choices for a main, and pick almost anything for an appetizer, it still comes out to about 25. Difference is the dessert is included in the prix fix, so be open to trying the whole menu. Chicken dishes are hit or miss sometimes. I had the porcini mushroom chicken with brandy brown glaze. Not seasoned well. Although tender, it was like they forgot the salt and pepper when prepping the breasts. My dad’s linguini and white clam was also bland. My kids’ old standby of chicken parm was tasty, as was my husband’s pasta special. Fried calamari and mozzarella incarrozza were quite good. I think if you stick with red sauces you are guaranteed a winner. Salads are also consistently good. Ask for an extra lemon wedge for your Cesar salad. All the desserts were good, but really you only need one or two on a table. No one needs more than a bite or two of over the top sweet and creamy. Cannoli was very crispy and fresh, tiramisu exactly as it should be. Bread pudding could have been saturated more with rum, but it was luscious, warm and very eggy. Ambience is always nice here; however, ask for a table not near the bus station outside. It can be a distraction with the bright white LED task lighting. The patio heaters really work. They make it very pleasant to enjoy al fresco dining on what would otherwise be a chilly evening. Wish I could give 3.5 stars, but if I gave to go either one way or the other, I go with 4.

Service was excellent. Especially appreciated the fact the server wasn’t pushing the specials purely because they were the special of the day. The veal sorrentino was tasty, the braised beef melted in your mouth, and the eggplant rollatini was the best I’ve had in a long time. A very pleasant surprise to find such a gem in a strip mall. Will definitely return.

I heard a lot of good things about this place so I wanted to give it a try. We went for Valentine’s Day. The service was fast. So fast that I barely got to digest my food before the dessert came. The food was ok but kind of bland. We ordered a tartufo for dessert figuring they couldn’t mess that up and it was good. The ambiance was nice. I just wish we could have sat a little longer.

Medicare not bad, not fantastic. Ambiance is basic, service slightly better than mediocre. Looks like a basic, quick family Italian restaurant some pasta is made fresh. This evening only one variety. The veal had lots of breaking, it wasn’t tough but not like ‘butter’ either the special risotto had the potential to be bursting with flavor… Mediocre

There is a lot to like about this place. First off the atmosphere on the patio is wonderful for al fresco dining. Nice music plays and the flowers are lovely. It’s easy to overlook the traffic on Sussex Turnpike. The food is wonderful. We love the poached pear salad and all the entrees are wonderful.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is cooked to perfection, there is nothing«bland» about the menu. Even the typical«boring» Italian dishes(penne vodka) were mouth watering. My 5 yr old loved it, she ate the whole serving. The service was also exquisite. The waiters were friendly and very helpful. You can see why this restaurant has such amazing reviews.

Tucked away in a strip mall, you could easily drive by this place & not notice it. However, it’s a place that you should check out! It’s a BYO Italian restaurant with a menu that’s diverse but not too large. It’s classy & elegant inside & service was spot on. We didn’t have a reservation but were there very early on a Saturday night — if you plan to go on a weekend, be sure to make a reservation. The bread was crusty & came with a delicious oil to dip it in. We started with the carpaccio — served with some greens and nice shaving of parmesan. Next, they split the ceaser salad for us — dressed perfectly and again with those nice shavings of parmesan. The server was prompt to bring over the pepper mill — something that enjoy. The timing was perfect between our courses as well. For entrée’s we had the rigatoni Verona which comes with vodka, peas, & sweet sausage — delicious & my husband enjoyed the veal marsala which came with a tasty sauce & lots of mushrooms. Also we were stuffed, we decided to try dessert & coffee. We had tiramasu which was a large portion & the chocolate shuffle which was good but real small — not something you can share. Coffee was fresh. We’ll definitely be back & I suggest that you check it out as well. There are several restaurants in that area & this one definitely stands out in terms of the interior & food!

Excellent restaurant. Nice outdoor patio with nice ambiance. Food was served quickly and was very nice service. Poached pear salad, fettuccine bolognese, lobster ravioli were all superb.

One of my new favorite Italian restaurants. They make the best eggplant rollatine. The braised beef entrée is fantastic. Service is on point(although not very friendly), but they seem to rush the courses out(we were done with apps, entrees, and dessert in under one hour. Nice patio and BYOB. Make sure to make reservations.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. I had friends from out of town visiting, and I found Verona when looking for good Italian restaurants in the area. It’s BYOB with outdoor seating which is a huge plus. My party ordered a variety of pasta and chicken dishes from the prix fixe menu, and we all loved our food. The tiramisu and caramel crème were definitely highlights, as was the penne arribiata. It does seem like a bit of an older crowd(my group of late 20-somethings were by far the youngest diners), but we didn’t feel out of place or unwelcome. The entire wait staff was wonderful; very attentive and professional. The food was delicious and the service was good so I will definitely be back.

I’m a huge fan of Italian food, and I was searching for nearby restaurants to add to my rotation. So I fired up Unilocal and checked out some of the reviews and decided to visit Verona Restaurant since it was 4.5 stars. I invited my two relatives who were just visiting me that week to come and join me. I had some fairly high expectations, especially because of the reviews. The place is really nice. It has a bright, spacious interior with big tables, and it also has some tables outside, with lots of flowers and plants all around. It was Wednesday, around 3 p.m. and all the tables outside were taken, because it was a beautiful day, so we sat inside. Staff was nice to us, they offered us some bread and poured our wine. The good thing is, they have prix fixe menu, which means you get an appetizer, entrée and desert, all for $ 24. We all took the same thing: eggplant rollatini, chicken francaise, which was recommended by the waiter, and tiramisu for dessert. After a little while of filling ourselves up with bread butter and olive oil, our appetizers came to the table. Eggplant rollatini was with ricotta, spinach and mozzarella with marinara. You really can’t go wrong with melted cheese and marinara sauce. Chicken francaise was served with a lemon white wine sauce. The portion was really big and I couldn’t finish it, chicken wasn’t dry like most places, but rather quite tender actually, and I liked the sauce, but it would be better if there was more of it on the chicken. Our dessert, tiramisu, was lovely, homemade, and goes great with a cup of coffee. It was a perfect finish of our lunch. I think the price of $ 24 per person for this food is more than fair. I’ll definitely be back.

Set in a strip mall in Randolph, this restaurant might be easy to miss unless you know of it. When I walked in, I noticed the rave review by the New York Times on the wall from January 2014. So apparently this is a gem hidden in the hills of Randolph. The décor was classy, with pictures on the walls, a big vase of flowers with Birds of Paradise and lillies… the lighting was low and it was a cozy place to go on a cold winter evening. This is a BYOB place so we split a bottle of wine and our party went with the all inclusive meal set at about $ 25. For this, you got an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert. There were a wide variety of appetizers and they ranged from spring salad, caesar salad, eggplant rollatini,(and about 5 more… just can’t recall them). The entrees were varied and I went with the spicy penne arribata(?). It was a large portion which I couldn’t finish and had a nice kick to it. I do remember the dessert choices. Tiamusi(I avoided due to the espresso since it was late at night), bread pudding with vanilla ice cream or a caramel type small pie. I got the bread pudding… very tasty and rich. Our service was excellent. The waiter was constantly filing our ice water glasses and the food service was prompt. They were excellent without being intrusive. Also, when we left we noticed the owner was in and greeted us when we left. Anyway, I also need to mention that when we arrived for dinner, the place was very filled so apparently word is spreading about this little restaurant.
