Been coming here for 3,4 years now. Always call ahead to placed your order! I love their salmon poke and the Mister like their bacon/spam fried rice. Orders always come with rice, potatoes salad and their chicken salad. They did improve recently! The fried rice isnt as salty as before. They did change their packaging for the poke, but the sushi rice that came with have the pretty balance of vinegar! They do closed at 8pm and Sunday!

Spam masubi again, didn’t disappoint. Ordered the tuna poke bowl and they were out of avocado, so it was just tuna on a bed of rice, but it was good

I love the chicken plate. Have been going here since I was in middle school. I don’t live in Palos Verdes anymore so I haven’t been going, but I am planning to lol. Random thought, but there is always police officers there when I come to eat here. Idk why. Anyways thumbs up for the chicken teriyaki, salad, and mashed potatoes combo!

Those short ribs are meat candy. And so flavorful. Wow. I could eat 30. Their chicken salad is great too. Their asparagus is crack. Make sure u get them. Again, make sure. Will definitely be back.

I was looking for a healthy place to grab a bite to eat for lunch. What a pleasant surprise to find Maui Chicken. I ordered a chicken and vegetables plate and it was delicious. Omg they have spam! Island food that is fresh. Do not hesitate to stop and try it, you’ll not be disappointed. Love the island music playing too.

I crave for their food, since I’m in the neighborhood I will pick us up some lunch. This is Hawaiian food in Palos Verdes!!! Love their salad dressing and grilled asparagus. Of course don’t forget to try the musubi just once! Love the food, staff is friendly and fish is fresh! We always make it our go to spot for yummy Hawaiian food.

The asparagus is pretty bomb Id highly recommend them over the steamed veggies which were more like veggie mash. For the price it its not bad the meat is tasty. I just wish they made the veggies in smaller batches so the veggies held up better. People working their are nice and the prices are reasonable. :)

I REALLY love this place, the food is great! However, it’s in a shady little plaza, it’s a little worn out on the inside, there is no restroom, and for some odd reason they hardly answer their phone for phone orders. Service when you’re there, or when they do answer their phone is great though, as the guy who runs the front is always welcoming and nice.

Delish! Their chicken teriyaki is nice and light. The sauce is not too sweet just perfect, and their portions are huge! I only wish they stayed open later!

There are far too many underrated, under-appreciated, and under-loved restaurants in the world – Maui Chicken being one of them. Honestly, if you’re the type to judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its slighty shabby exterior, stop it. You’re missing out on some truly beautiful stuff, and in this case, some truly beautiful poke! For about $ 11.99(not including tax), you get a more-than-generous heap of ahi tuna poke and avocado, and a separate takeout box filled with rice, hawaiian macaroni salad, and a chinese chicken salad. I dropped in for a late lunch and with dinner around the corner, I opted out of the rice and the macaroni salad, and requested extra Chinese Chicken Salad instead. When it comes as a side to the poke, the Chinese Chicken Salad doesn’t actually come with chicken – you’ve been forewarned. You essentially receive a salad with chinese chicken salad vinaigrette. I mean, I could have been a bit upset, but the portion they gave was just so far beyond generous that my frown really didn’t stand a chance, and once I whipped open the poke box — -I was done. Happy. What chicken? What frown? What is sadness? I’m going to keep this short and sweet, because not much needs to be said. It may simply be due to the fact that I’m easily satisfied, or this place could actually be an underrated wonder. I’m going to call it and say that it’s a bit of both. Maui Chicken won’t blow you out of the water with the quality of ingredients or the flavors, but it was an absolute solid meal. If you’re not in the area, stay where you are and find good food there – it’s not worth the drive out. However, if you’re already in PV or if you find yourself in the surrounding suburbs and you’re craving some solid, underrated, under-appreciated, and under-loved Hawaiian, I got you covered. No, rather, Maui Chicken’s got you covered!

Great little trasure(like alot of places in San Pedro) Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is solid. I usually get the Katsu chicken and it’s amazingly good! I don’t know what their secret ingredient is in their potato salad, but I hope it’s not illegal as it’s highly addictive. The young man at the counter is very nice and great at customer service. Super casual and kick back ambiance

Hawaiian Tuna Poke & Spam Musubi are quite good. Tuna is fresh and the avocados were really fresh. Spam was super crispy and delicious! Chicken salad is OK but I dont think salads are their specialty.

This place is popular, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. Rather, I think it means it’s cheap for the area. Wait times are long for«fast food». Don’t go here if you’re in a rush. The best thing here is probably the Teriyaki chicken, but even that could use some improvement. It’s edible, but the sauce wasn’t very well balanced. Tasted kinda artificial and was lacking the griddle-seared flavor. Rice was okay. The potato and macaroni salad was interesting. Flavors were good, but the macaroni was totally mushy and having potatoes in it was weird. The pork katsu was kinda sad. They put very little sauce on it. Greasy. There’s very little meat compared with the rice. I know people raved about the salad, but it hardly had any ingredients in it. Maybe it has changed. No bell peppers. It had white meat chicken, fried won-ton pieces, slivered almonds, and largely iceberg lettuce. The dressing wasn’t bad, but we all agreed that we wouldn’t get the salad again. Thumbs down. Gave them an extra star for helpful employees.

I like this place because they have healthy options, and I can get chicken, poke, salmon, or spam misubi all in the same place. I can’t give 5 stars just because once I did get poke that did not taste fresh to me. Also, please get some siracha bottes for your restaraunt! Their hot sauce isn’t for me, so I usually have to get to-go so I can add my siracha :) Also, their mac salad has potatoes in it. Just an FYI. I don’t mind it, but I prefer my mac salad without potatoes.

Came here after a gym sesh and the appearance of this place doesn’t seem to be that appealing, but it’s these places that taste good. I ordered the chicken plate, along with a tuna bowl and the taste was better than I expected. The quantity of chicken they give you is pretty good size. I took my food to go so I didn’t have enough time to make a judgement on the little things, but the the guy at the counter seemed friendly. Small joint with good food is all you can ask for.

Aloha! Cruising with wifey in the lovely city of R.P.V. taking in all the sights(Marshall’s, a movie theater, a 7 – 11 and some rundown ass liquor store) made a motherfucker kind of hungry. Looked around and spotted a Coco’s(No No), Trump’s Golf Course restaurant(too damn expensive), Kobe Grill(heard bad shit about that place), Maui Chicken(WINNERWINNER chicken dinner!!) We drove into a little unassuming strip mall, walked into an unassuming little joint and browsed an unassuming little menu. Assuming that you go there don’t expect nice décor(they don’t have shit on the walls except for newspaper articles praising their food), no public restroom(I had to take a piss next to some wino in front of the aforementioned rundown ass liquor store) and the place isn’t really welcoming as a dine-in spot(drab ass beige paint on the walls and a shitload of business flyers and ads placed on a long shelf that runs the length of the right wall) with all that said… I’d STILL come back to this place again and again. I ordered the beef and chicken combo bowl. Damn was that delicious! The beef was tender, the chicken was moist and juicy, the teriyaki sauce was perfect, the macaroni salad was good as fuck and the Chinese chicken salad was also good. Wifey ordered the smaller chicken bowl with the same sides and she raved about it. Oh and not greasy at all. The price for both: $ 13.00 bucks can’t beat that shit with a stick. Mahalo muthafukas!

I’ve started coming to this place ever since it opened up when I was in elementary school. Back then, business was just starting and slow, but my family and I were huge regulars. We loved what the teriyaki and katsu combos here as the main dish, salads, and macaroni salads were all yummy! I especially loved seeing the owner as he personally worked at the counter back at the time and was super friendly, bonding with my mom and dad every time we went to pick up our order. I haven’t been going as regularly now, but I still love their teriyaki as I consider one of the best I’ve ever tasted! Close to Rascal’s even! The chicken is always very moist and well-marinated, and they give you huge generous amounts of rice with everything! The same is with the katsu as it’s not that oily compared to L & L. The curry is pretty decent as well. I still have yet to try all the dishes on the menu, but I bet everything is good here! It’s a little small, but business is pretty booming now since it opened. Highly recommend if you live in San Pedro/PV area! Great take-out and reasonable prices!

I recommend the chicken katsu, it’s probably better than the beef. I like the macaroni salad here. Overall, I think it’s less greasy here than at L&L, so that’d be enough of a reason for me to come back.
