Food was good and prices not bad as long as you do the series. It is nice on happy hour because the drinks are half off! What a deal! Some of the portions are a bit small but overall great service and establishment.

When you walk in it smells like fish. Host said he could give us a table but we’d have to be out by 10(who says that) I just left with my friends. Went back a second time because it was the only place not busy, it was ok but the price is high and the food is little. We left hungry, and our wallet empty.

Ra Pour is a mixed bag of confusion. There is more confusion about what this place is on both its theme and menu. For first impressions, the hostesses are an embarrassment. I call ahead for reservations for only 2 and they say they have nothing until 10pm. I decide to just walk in and the hostesses takes my name and number until a table is available but see several tables open. Oh well, im ok with it and decide to come back one hour later with no call and look in to find half the tables empty. Are the hostesses looking to fill this restaurant for business? Or are they trying to snob customers to make this place seem like it’s a Joel roebuchon? From the looks of its customers seated, not exclusive at all! When I come back the hostess sees me and walks away trying to avoid me knowing very well that I have not been called. Grade F Décor: trying too hard. The restaurant looks like a cafeteria with household table mats under their silverware. The other a decent lounge with illuminated tables which I found cool. Ill give credit for that. Outdoor patio looks like a dark alley. The layout is poor and seems confused. The music playlist is nothing newer than 2001. Food: After finally being seated on a shaky table and numerous different waiters, We had — –Mezze plate(variety hummus and pita appetizer) –plank salmon –wood oven roasted chicken Only thing I enjoyed was the appetizer. Big plates were an extreme disappointment. Fish seemed under cooked and too fishy. The chicken was gamey and tasted like it was cooked on eggs? Gordon Ramsey and kitchen nightmares where are you?!

0 stars. the bouncer requested that since my 21 year old friend didnt have her id that we pay him on the side to let her in. We offered him a 20, & He insisted on more money. We had a reservation and called in because we would be an hour late, and they said its fine. We got to the door and they changed the cover price on us instead of honoring it. The place should definitely be shut down because of the poor management. Worst experience ever, don’t come here!

New restaurants need an 80k foot view during first 3 months. But after 5 visits here, it is true they hold tables open for what seems to be a goal of making it look busy. The hostess suggested it was due to reservations. So we sat observed for 3 hours — tables stayed empty. People waited and tables were never occupied. During the night they did use those tables but intermittently — if they were If tables were for a reservation 2 hour hold seems reasonable. Rather than guess — it is true. As well the hostess told us 45 mins to an hour and when I asked she said after a 35 mins that it would be an hour. Why tell us an 45, when it’s an hour. The food is inconsistent and the service is terrible. The concept is nice but there are many options for your money. To raPour mgmt. please run a restaurant and not an entertainment venue. We will come back when you figure out what you are.

Charging at the door to go inside. REALLY!!! I just wanted to try the restaurant and have a drink. The creepy guys at the door were trying to sell us on some has been DJ for twenty years ago. It was pretty sad. It’s too bad i couldn’t check out the restaurant because the place looks nice. Note to Ra Pour Restaurant, Perhaps if you don’t turn away customers you might just have some return customers. I’m just saying.

My wife and I are non-drinkers so this review only pertains to the food and the dining room. For Christmas, my wife and I treated ourselves to a dinner-and-a-movie date night. We decided on Ra Pour for dinner after scanning the menu and we were not disappointed with the choice. For those of you unfamiliar, it is a small-plate style restaurant so if you are looking for large portions of food for an inexpensive price a la your typical chain restaurant, this is NOT the place for you. Also, given the complexity of the menu I cannot recommend it for very young children or the burger and chicken tenders young crowd. Okay, that out of the way, if you go in with the expectation that everything will be fairly small but incredibly flavorful then you will have a good time. We had several items, highlights included the chicken and waffle, mushroom risotto, and the flat iron steak with chimichurri. I am not usually a fan of fatty meat but the crispy pork belly with pan perdu(fancy french toast) was an adventure that I can’t say I entirely disliked. Your mileage on that dish may vary but if you like rich fatty meats then don’t skip it. We finished the meal with the apple crisp with french toast ice cream, very good but nuclear hot when it arrived in its large cast-iron pan. Don’t eat all the ice cream waiting for it to cool down, they are best together though you will be tempted and the ice cream is really good as well. The atmosphere was great for a date night, I loved the décor which is very modern. The wait staff was very attentive. All in all, I couldn’t find a thing to complain about and I will definitely be back.

When this place first opened, it was popping. Things have changed. What do you get when you cross a Tyler Perry movie and Jerry Springer: RAPOUR Ghetto, trashy, pretentiousness without a reason to be pretentious. Next time the bouncer asks a dude to wait for people to come out because they at max capacity, he better check his eyes, cause the only thing at max capacity is the level of hood rats that come to this place.

Don’t let the lack of customers scare you away. I was pleasantly surprised with the food at Ra Pour. I grew up in the Inland Empire, which in my opinion is the land of chain restaurants. It’s nice to come back and see new restaurants like this popping up. The Series options are a great menu choice if you come with a group. You can select between 3, 5, or 7 dishes to share. My girlfriends and I tried the popcorn, beet salad, short ribs, sticky toffee pudding and s’mores. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Next time I visit the IE, I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I should have listened to the reviews. This was a dissapointment, and you really do not HAVETO try the lobster pops. They were empty and yet we did not have a server and had to ask for help. But other tables seemed to get service so it’s a gamble on who you get.

Gahh this place has so much potential and I wanted to like it more. NEEDSNEWMANAGEMENT. Seriously. The food is great here, and delicious. But Damn do you wait FOREVER to get what you ordered. We waited 20 minutes to get out appetizer and then an additional 20 minutes for out entrees! LOL Crazy long. and I know it wasn’t just us, because I over heard several tables talking about how long the wait is to receive your food. Our waitress which I wish I could remember her name was GREAT. She was super friendly and she did apologize for the wait. The thing is, the place wasn’t even busy, and they has so much staff. I seen two women which looked like management to me just chit chatting, and they had 7 or 8 people in the kitchen area cooking, because you can see them. And some were just talking, one literally looked zoned out into space. LOL And another I seen chewing. So gross, so unprofessional, so unsanitary and just so wrong! A lot of people just looked like they lacked direction and had no idea what to do. So to me that means new management because it looked like they didn’t have any. Now on to the food. We ordered the chicken and waffles as an appetizer and it was good. I ordered the steak and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the duck and he seemed to like it even though I didn’t. The place is also very well decorated, I loved the ambiance. But I honestly would not return here =/

Who knew you could get an amuse bouche in the IE? At a shopping mall, no less. The chef offered up tiny cheese gougeres — yum! While I applaud the attempt, I thought some of the attempts at fine dining fell short. For example, the Liberty Farms duck breast was tender and cooked perfectly, but the presentation marred by gloppy purple foam(berry flavored), dotted with citrus foam and citrus beads and trumpet mushrooms tossed about — the plate looked like it had been tossed through a spin cycle. Likewise, the vanilla semi-freddo had the«grand» presentation of the waiter pouring citrus fizzy water, but it was served in a bowl on top of diced fruit. The semi-freddo slid around like a hockey puck; it probably should have been served on a plate, with the fruit around it. The short rib on cheese grits was delicious, and for appetizers we had foie gras on brioche toast(before it became outlawed!) and the chicken and waffles, tasty and fun — but be warned, make sure none of the seeds from the fried chili garnish get into your mouth — it burns. The fountains inside have smoke machines, and the bar changes color. Music during dinner was entertaining but loud.

It looks like the ‘IE’ finally has a ‘lounge’ that is worthy of the dollar to spend to get in. NO there wasn’t a cover charge(we went at 6:00pm) but you can tell this place gets busy in the evening. Very nice interior décor, trendy, hip with a club vibe. The Bar has only one TV so don’t come here thinking you can catch sports you’ll have to sit at the Bar to see the TV. Monica and I went last night to grab something to eat before we saw«Snow White and the Huntsman» and to watch my Boston Celtics play the Heat. I had read from fellow Unilocalers abou the Lobster Pops… at $ 18.00(served 6) I expected something to WOW me unfortunately this was not the case. The lemongrass, coconut milk dipping sauce was(i felt) to light for the appetizer, but you DO taste the Lobster — so if that was the Chef’s intentions it was achieved. Monica had the braised ribs with polenta this dish was yummy but we «loved» the polenta and couldn’t get enough of it. The drinks were tasty I had a Bellini and Moni had something that was dark and looked like Pomegranate was in it whatever it was it was pretty tasty. «Katie» was our server and she was FABULOUS! understood that I was unhappy with the Lobster Pops and ordered me a Margarita Pizza… which I liked better. I liked the DJ choice of music and then a Jazz band came on in the evening really nice. We will return! Respectfully Reviewed

**Reviewing only as a restaurant, NOT for the lounge** Love this place. I would dock it for being so expensive, but this is my go-to restaurant when I feel like splurging! Plus, I hear their happy hour is fantastic although I personally haven’t gone during those hours. Honestly, I walked in to this restaurant on a whim and by the time I sat down and the waitress handed me the menu, it was too late to walk out. My first reaction after looking at the prices were«oh god… we’ve made a terrible mistake». BUTNOREGRETS. My friends and I went all out and ordered an appetizer, 3 entrees and 2 desserts! Presentation, taste, service and ambiance(there was a live band that night) were SO impressive that I came back the next day to have dinner there… haha! Here’s what I’ve tried… :APPETIZERS: Lobster Pops: 3⁄5 They were good but not amazing. Not worth the full price in my opinion but good for happy hour if it’s on the HH menu. Ahi Tuna: 5⁄5 Bomb. So much texture(the raw fish, rice crisp, smooth avocado… YUM). Definitely one of my favorites. :ENTREES: Funghi Wood Fired Pizza: 4⁄5 My god this is the richest thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. Probably because of the truffle oil. A must-try but I recommend to share because you might get overwhelmed/bored of the taste quick. Liberty Farms Duck Breast: 5⁄5 Just… perfection. And those little pearls of whatever it was?! PASSIONFRUIT?! Genius. And the sauces were a perfect complement to the duck. But warning! Small portions! Chipotle Braised Short Ribs: 3⁄5 Good but not memorable. Planked Loch Duart Salmon: 3⁄5 Also good but not memorable. Cola-Brined Pork: 5⁄5 Forever recommend. Perfect perfect perfect. The roasted yam sauce purée that it came with is just… WORDSCANNOTDESCRIBETHISDISH. ITISDIVINE. :DESSERTS: Sorbet: 5⁄5 Refreshing. It was like delicious fresh fruity creamy heaven. Something something chocolate something something crêpe something: 5⁄5 Can’t remember for the LIFEOFME what this was called and it’s not on the website. But basically it had like 5 different things including a chocolate cake like thing made of millions of thin crêpe layers. Also had almond(I think) bark. And a glob of what seemed to be pure gooey chocolate(think an undercooked brownie?). And there was ice cream. ANYWAY whatever this was… I need it in my life. Forever. Okay honestly I can go on forever about how much I love this place. But… TLDR: Try it! And bring lots of money! Good for dates! Or fancy outing w/friends!

HAPPYHOURSTOP #5: approx 6:15pm Happy Hour from 3−7pm an hour longer than other places, making it PERFECT for my last stop! (this is more of a 3.5 review, but their happy hour an longer so i’m rounding to 4) My friend and I were on a MISSION to go on as many restaurants as we can for happy hour. We came early and put our name in at Ra Pour after lucille’s and kabuki, but before tgif and gyu-kaku. It’s a friday night so I just wanted to safe-proof my mission! This is actually my first time to this restaurant so I was especially tentative to my surroundings. They had a nice ‘lounge-area’ and they have have a live dj and sometimes a live-band playing. I thought that they place was very nice. Just as our waiter, justin, noted… they place is very«LA» in setting… My honest opinion of this place.. great for happy hour, but a bit pricey for regular hours. . Annnyyywaaayssssss, back to my adventure.. . last stop for the night and my friend and I really liked that their happy hour menu was so SIMPLE. Everything was $ 5, very easy to remember! Prior to ordering, they came by with water and complementary olives for us. Unfortunately we were not a fan of olives. And also, it took a really really really long time before our order was taken. They were lucky that they were my last stop or else I would have flagged their manager down to give me some asap-service.. . By the time justin took our order, we already knew what we wanted. We got the lobster pops, prosciutto pizza, rock and rose signature cocktail & highlander vintage cocktail. The drinks came first. My friend’s rock and rose was delicious. But I don’t know how it normally tastes. We were told that they were missing some ingredient and substituted it with peach flavoring instead… Umm, my highlander vintage cocktail was NASTTYYY and strong O_O’ tastes like henny… … I think I like hennessy straight, but it’s so gross when it’s in mixed drinks.. . dislike And next came our food. I don’t recommend the prosciutto pizza.. It’s so ‘whatevs’. It wasn’t tasty and after forcing myself to eat one slice, I was done. It only cost me $ 5 and I already don’t think it’s worth it, so I definitely don’t recommend it for other hours.. . However I LOVE the lobster pops. They were absolutely delicious. My friend and I were so stuffed from our ‘mission’ but we were still able to finish them up. . Honestly this place might be short staffed cause it took forever for them to fetch us the bill also.. .. once again, good thing they’re the last stop! We waited so long the band was setting up and ready to play for the dinner crowd. I also want to note that I think they waiters here are really nice and friendly.. Our waiter was super funny! The waiter for the table next to us seemed cool too! He reminded the couple next to us that happy hour was ending soon, in case they wanted to order anything else in addition to their meal. I thought that was nice. This is the end… to my longest happy hour spree. so far: D

Food is amazing. Cocktail menu is eclectic and good! This is my new favorite place for HappyHour, people watching, and interesting food. For your cheapy-cheap skates go on Monday, HAPPYHOURISALLDAMNDAY (The $ 5 Happy Hour is also a good idea, If you’re unsure and want to try this place before you jump in on the full menu) During Happy Hour the bar menu is $ 5/drink –WOW! $ 5 for Lobster Pops — $ 5 for the Chicken & Waffle appetizer — Wood-fired pizzas also $ 5.…surely you cheap asses can afford this? Personally, I have eaten here twice now, and will continue to do so when I am craving fine food, Tried: Ginger Mayhem — gin with ginger/lime clubsoda it’s SPICY! Anejo Manhattan — smooth smooth drink. Mexican Firing Squad — tequila with pomegranate & lime. Chicken & Waffles — a modern twist on a classic comfort food, with candied jalapeño Lobster Pops — lemongrass coconut sauce is amazing Wedge Salad: a little more dressed up than the classic Rock Shrimp Pizza: served with pesto instead of tomato sauce Burger: good, but hold on the bleu cheese if you’re not a fan Prosciutto Pizza: super fresh tasting, tomato sauce is really nice Panna Cotta: I had the«olive oil» pannacotta that was served with blood oranges, kumquats, mandarin oranges and a poppyseed crumble. it was HEAVEN

This is based on drinks and service… So we just had a glorious dinner at Flemings and I had this spot on my bookmark list and it was only a few feet away so it worked out perfectly. So we got in line(only 3 peeps in front of us) When we came up, they said we couldn’t bring in our leftovers from another eatery inside. I was bummed so my date and I stepped out of the line and tried figuring out what to do, since we took a cab and I wanted these leftovers!!! So while were trying to figure this out the manager comes over to us and states that recently some ghettotards tried sneaking in alcohol so thats why they seemed uptight about us having our bag. I understand that. She took our bag and put it in their kitchen fridge and gave us a ticket to get pick them up when we were done, What a class act this lady was! So walk in and scoping out the place, I notice its a pretty good sized room with lots going on with people watching: D Great live music and later a DJ, I didn’t want to stand all night in heels so we sat a table at one point and it was already reserved oops. So we scored a whole couch to ourselves outside. The service through out the night was seriously impeccable. My drinks were made to my liking as well. It kinda sucks that this place has spotty reviews and maybe I’ll have to review them on the food next time, but in the meantime, my service was on point and so were my drinks!

Can a franchise owner of several Buffalo Wild Wings & McDonald’s restaurants, collaborate with a chef with an esteemed pedigree(French Laundry, the Patina Restaurant Group), and a top Hollywood event producer(Hyde Lounge, Supper Club), and live happily ever after? I’m picturing dancing to a funky DJ, holding a chicken wing doused in béarnaise sauce. My husband and I were excited to go to Ra Pour for our anniversary, because we wanted to eat good food, and party a little bit afterwards — this restaurant/lounge concept is hard to come by in Rancho Cucamonga! So here’s what we discovered: When they serve you a little dish of olives… You know the food here is going to be special! The variety of salted and pickled olives they served instead of bread was nice, I couldn’t stop eating them! The chef also gave us a complimentary amuse bouche: a puffed cheese ball that tasted just like a Cheezit cracker(in a good way), with a little bit of melted cheese in the center. We tried the Dungeness crab salad(beautifully presented, the red jalapeño gave it a nice little kick!), the chicken & waffles(3 chicken filets on top of 3 little cinnamony waffles), and the shrimp & pesto flatbread pizza(such a perfect balance of flavors, nice crust, and not greasy at all!) Note that the pizza is very filling — I wanted to try more on the menu(like the lobster mac & cheese or the mushroom risotto), but I couldn’t eat another bite! Kudos to Ra Pour’s chef — the food was SUPERB. When you try to order a drink… …and they keep coming back to tell you that they don’t have it, you better hope that it’s just because the place just opened! I wanted a glass of Prosecco, they didn’t have it, so I had to buy into the more expensive champagne. Julius tried ordering not one, but 2 different beers, and they just didn’t have any beer, period. So he had to get a rum & coke, and they did the right thing and gave him a double. OK, we’ll chalk that up to Ra Pour’s growing pains… When everyone comes by and wishes you a Happy Anniversary… You know that they are bending over backwards to provide you with excellent service. Ra Pour’s staff made us feel really special by seating us where we requested, giving us a complimentary dessert to celebrate the occasion(thanks, Judah!), and checking in on us every so often. I sincerely hope that this outward passion for their customers stays beyond opening week, we’ve never experienced that level of service before. When you hear the live band clash with the music coming from the DJ booth… You know the layout of the restaurant/lounge is a bit off. The feng shui, or energy flow if you will, felt a bit disjointed. You have the restaurant on one side, which has nice booth seating along the windows, but uncomfortable looking, cafeteria seating in the middle, and the lounge directly opposite. The lounge looked inviting, but I could tell that making it overly exclusive will hinder its future success($ 250 minimum for a table? TGI Friday’s is next door… this isn’t Hollywood!) Also, the bar area seemed too small and crammed against the wall. And that area with a fog machine or dry ice or whatever looked cheesy, sorry! So Ra Pour gets 5 stars for the restaurant, and 2.5 stars for the lounge. The delicious food & attentive service will keep Ra Pour in business, and hopefully, the reputation of the lounge won’t deter people from trying the food in the first place — that would be a shame!
