Ono Hawaiian BBQ

Hi I went to Ono a couple of days ago and I was welcomed with a beautiful smile AMD wonderful costumer service! By a employee named Irene. This makes your company look great !! I was very pleased and can’t wait to return

I went to get lunch for my kids & myself today at 1230 through the drive thru & the girl taking my order & at the window had no customer service at all!!! She was rude & acting like I was a bother to her!!! The food was good but will not be returning to this location just based on her customer service alone!!!

We eat here all of the time. Food has always been great and all of the workers are extremely nice. Love the chicken katsu!

Ono is awesome in every location except this one, in my opinion. They are not welcoming or kind and they are not flexible or helpful at trying to meet the wants of the customer. One employee actually seemed to take pride in her poor customer service. She was relatively short with dark features and wore more than an average amount of makeup.

We had the Hawaiian BBQ chicken and fire chicken. All i can say is YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY

Was left VERY disappointed, I went 2 separate times and both times (drive through) they only gave me one sauce for two meal orders.
The second time I specifically asked the lady as she gave me the food for extra sauce and she said no «I don’t have any pre made containers»
There was a pause and I asked if she could make some because we want more than one (half filled) sauce cup… then she said no that because they had just closed (literally 1 minute after I ordered at the drive through) and the sauce was all put away.
So I asked, where’s the sauce put away? And she said in the refrigerator.. so I asked, can you please take it out of the refrigerator and give me some?
She said no, she couldn’t give out cold sauce… I told her I didn’t mind, but she refused. I could not believe I couldn’t get some dam sauce!
One half filled cup of sauce for two orders of food? We’re me and my husband supposed to share?
I thought it was ridiculous that the lady was being so stubborn for sauce! I didn’t enjoy my food at all either time, and will not let it happen a third time.

First time traveling thru this area… had the BBQ beef, flavor was good, meat was chewy.

Instead of calling it «Ono Hawaiian BBQ», it should be called «Ono don’t order #2!». The chicken was very bland and was equivalent to my middle school crispy chicken. But at least that only cost me a couple dollars! The only reason I rated this 2 stars was because it tasted pretty decent once I went next door to Wienerschnitzel and asked for ketchup.

Better than the one in Fontana. Place is clean and not that packed! Nice and friendly staff.

Update, 2÷23÷2016
I came in again during lunch rush to see if maybe the chicken was better. I was hopeful because the place was packed. I got the fire island chicken. Everything is perfect except the quality of chicken still. It still had a fish like consistency of being mushy and fibrous like thin noodles. I just ate a few bites but I’m cutting my losses. I just threw away my meal and going to go to taco Bell next door for lunch. Probably never gonna come back. Again I’ve never had meat like the one I had here.
They use weird chicken here. First time was maybe July of 2014 and the fire island chicken was very fibrous and squishy. I was Very put off from that experience. Just got island curry chicken now and it was still the same kind of texture. I was hoping it’d be different. Idk if they pre cook the chicken, but the time from ordering in the drive thru till I had food in my hands was about a minute. Never had this kind of chicken texture at any other onos. In socal

Have attempted to place phone orders here a few times over the past week and no one answers the phone! Items we order are not available through the drive thru and I prefer not to wait 20 mins for them to prepare my food to go. I’ve been taking my business elsewhere but hopefully they get this fixed!

Food is great as always. Staff is great on phone orders, as well as in person, from the cooks to the cashier.

The employee that took my phone order, and helped me at the counter was the sweetest ever. Very polite and friendly. Now the owner on the other hand, super rude. He practically ran me over as he rushed me for some reason and didn’t even acknowledge me. Then he interrupted me as I was asking the girl helping me a question. Didn’t even look my way, was in a hurry and was not going to wait. The food was good and the establishment was new and clean. It has a drive thru too. But the portions were a bit smaller than the other Hawaiian BBQ places I have been to. And the Katsu sauce was really watered down. I stopped here because I needed lunch for work and it was on my way. Next time I will most likely avoid this one unless another emergency arises. Not horrible but not the best.

This is the last Ono Hawaiian BBQ I will go to if my life depends on it. I had no choice because it is customary for us to celebrate employee’s bday for lunch at the restaurant of their choice. As the owner I had to endure. Nevertheless, the employees working in the front looks like drug addicts and the their friend who loitering around are plain thugs. I wouldn’t feel safe eating there.

I think I waited 10 minutes one night waiting for my food. I don’t know if they were killing a cow or what? The wait was ridiculous that night. I’m not sure if it’s because it was at 10pm or what.

I don’t understand the point of this place having a drive thru when you either have to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru for your food or go inside to pick up your food. This is really a level of stupidity I haven’t seen in a long time.

Mmmmmm. Musubi. Best thing ever created. If I could eat this without getting high cholesterol and gain weight. I totally would!
Been here a couple times. I always opt for the small portions or their «healthy» salad. The drive thru does take awhile though. While yes it’s very convenient when you just wanna stay in your pajamas. It’s also not cool to wait over 20 mins in your car for the food.
Service is always good. Overall… This is one of my go to easy quick dinner on the go places.

Please dont eat here. I got food poisoning from eating here. (Went through the drive thru)
I ordered the bbq beef and chicken katsu platter thing. The food was greasy and old! Now im vomiting all over :(

Really? It’s called a drive thru not a chill in your car for 30 minutes while I cook your food. On top of that my chicken was burnt! First and last time here. I’ll stick with L&L

Two words: drive thru!
Drive thru does not serve everything on the full menu though only ones that can be served quickly.
