I was introduced to Laurelle through a promotion deal she had on living social or amazon local. I will admit, it was a little frustrating trying to set up an appointment with her at first due to scheduling issues. I’m glad I stuck it out because Laurelle is a great massage therapist. I’ve now being going to her for a few months and even fathom the idea of going elsewhere for any massages. She is extremely friendly and accommodating. She has been great about having monthly promotions which I tend to always get in order to save a little on the services. I book my appointments with her a month in advanced now and I haven’t had any issues. Overall, I am really happy with all the massages I’ve received from her and I look forward to my monthly appointments with her.

I had scheduled an appt online as requested from Laurelle 1.5 month in advance, day of appt, she cancelled because she was sick and would like to reschedule, in the voicemail she left stating she will move her schedule around to accommodate for the mishap. Weeks later, I text to reschedule in March, she asked if I was a female. Awkward question from the beginning of conversation, but I am a female.(Should have listed that on the voucher if she does not service male clientele). She said she is not booking for March and only have Feb 9@12:30pm available. My livingsocial coupon expires on March 26, 2016. Then she said my voucher is a promotion and has limited availability that only apply to Feb as stated on the voucher. No where on the voucher does it state I have to schedule in Feb if I had my original appt in January(which she cancelled). Horrible professionalism and BEWARE. False advisement, bait and switch scam. Called livingsocial to get my $ refund.

I purchased a massage from Groupon for this massage therapist. She has a very nice computerized booking service from another vendor and I was quite impressed with how it worked. Although I wasn’t able to get a massage for about a month, I booked it. I get to the massage and Laurelle spent so much time talking and talking about homeopathic jib jab I was soon bored. Finally, the massage. It was an aromatherapy type massage which was okay, but I told her I didn’t want my feet done. I would rather have had more time spent on my head and shoulders. She told me the Groupon didn’t cover that and was very specific to which type of massage I received. Okay, I clearly told you I get migraines and had shoulder pain — what difference does it make if you rub my feet or the area I am most having problems with? Zero listening skills and even less with providing customer service. Once the massage was on the way, the aromatherapy is what really made it good. The massage was Swedish style but she has her own name for it — a bit on the light pressure side but again, the aromatherapy made it good. I decided to come back and booked another appointment in which she made me put a deposit on the next appointment(PLEASENOTE — NEVERPLACE A DEPOSITON A MASSAGE-THEREAREWAYTOOMANYEXCELLENTMASSAGETHERAPISTSWHOWILLNOTREQUIREONE) I placed a $ 40 deposit and booked for the following month. She called me 4 days in advance to reschedule(please read her other reviews, she seems to do this a lot) and I told her I needed to reschedule because I found out I needed surgery. I should have called her when my surgery was booked but I didn’t. This still gave her more than enough notice. When we tried to reschedule, I felt like I got the runaround so I asked her for a refund. You would have thought I asked this lady for $ 1,000 bucks because she was very hesitant to give it back and this started my nightmare. First of all — you will not hold even a dime of mine hostage. It was never the money, but her less than professional attitude about my refund. I began reading her reviews and started to realize this was a pattern — you can put in Massage by Laurelle and it will pull up reviews from her last place of employment. They are filled with bad rescheduling issues and refund issues. She put a refund through a service and had the audacity to try to keep 25% of MY money. She messed with the wrong lady — I asked where her policy was? She couldn’t provide an answer and there was only info on her website on last minute cancellations. This was not the case. Needless to say, her refund for me was like a bounced check in the services eyes. She didn’t have the money to cover the refund. I contacted her and that is when her DRAMA began. Her checking account was hacked — blah blah blah — 2 former clients state in a review that their refund was compromised from her«hacked» account. Okay — this happens but 3 times? REALLY? She kept providing excuse after excuse until I decided to go hard. I told her I would file a claim for fraud since she had done this before. I also told her on a Friday that I would be there the following Monday to pick up my money from her office. I didn’t trust a check from her by mail — I felt it may get«lost» like her accounts have been hacked. She and I exchanged 29 texts and I finally gave her an ultimatum. Either she be there Monday after 430 or I show up with the police and file a fraud claim. Laurelle said she was off on Mondays — I didn’t care. I travel 32 miles one way to get to her area and had a follow up appointment from my surgery that Monday. I told her I gave her plenty of notice. I wish I could play her dramatic and tearful messages. She is religious when she wants to be, when it comes in handy. I went and her receptionist was standing there like a guard dog(as if I was going to get physical) Is this«Girls in the Hood» or what. It appears you work for a wonderful chiropractic team — their reviews are AMAZING — too bad they are stuck with you. You will bring their reputation down — I feel badly for them. I hope they have the good sense to replace you with someone more professional when it comes to customer service and finances. You are very knowledgable about the body and massages — but a poor business woman. I really wish things would have been different — you seem like a nice person. That Monday I required a refund, I got my $ 40 and the tip I had originally left — paid for my gas! Thanks, that part was unexpected and made up a tiny bit for you trying to keep 25%!
