I’ve been going to Hair Phases for years, and for a very good reason! Nicole and her team have provided some of the best services I’ve seen since I nervously walked in a long time ago. This is one of the top salons in Rancho, and I’ve walked out happy ever single time. Every time I want to try something new, blonde, red, brown, black, ombré, she’s done an amazing job. I’ve recommended several people to the salon, and I will continue to do so.

Zoe did and amazing job cutting my hair. I have been scared going to the salon. so I have been putting off a trim. after realizing how damaged my hair was and needing a quick haircut I went to hair phases. I was directed to Zoe, she was amazing. She cut off the dead hair and was very understanding the whole process I will be returning for her services in the future. I love my new hair

Part 1– Came for brilliant pink ombré/​balayage. Purposely sought out Carissa because of all the amazing reviews and pictures. Quoted $ 85 for color and $ 40 for cut.
Results:
Long story short, I paid $ 245 and I did not get what I want. Color was too dark, and the color stopped halfway down my head. Also, when I wore a ponytail there was a segment of hair that stuck out.

Part 2– came in for re-​lightening and fixing the back of my head
Results:
1. Finally got the color I wanted. However, the color *still* stops halfway down my head. She did not fix the hair cut.
2. I wanted kind of a painted-​on, balayage look. What I got was chunky all-​over color with blocky roots.
3. She cut off 2.5 inches of my hair, when I only asked for exactly a half inch to be cut, as I am currently trying to grow out my hair.
You look at the pic and tell me how that’s a $ 245 color job. (MUCH more than I was quoted).
I’m embarrassed to walk around like this. I will probably end up fixing some of the back myself.
Also note: there seems to be a trend of some people being charged more than they were quoted. Wish the salon was more honest about quotes and pricing.

Been going to Nicole for over a year now and she’s been awesome! Highly recommended. And she’s nearly finished with her Barber’s license, so she’ll be doing straight shaves too.

This is a late post since I got my hair done over 2 weeks ago. Better late than never. I had my haircut at a different location twice but never got the result I wanted. However, Zoe, my stylist at this salon did a marvelous job with my long hair. I’m horrible at explaining exactly what I want but somehow she understood me and got me exactly what I had asked during my previous hair cut/​trim sessions. I love how my hair can be styled with blow dry or basic hair curling irons. Zoe gave my hair the dash it had longed for over a year. Thanks Zoe :)

After my stylist of 15 years moved away, I went back to the salon that had done my hair 20 years ago (a very well known and expensive salon). It was a disaster in both color and cut!
I went to Jordan the very next day. I showed Jordan all the pictures I had shown the first salon as to what exactly I wanted. I had the color and length to do the exact same cut as was in the picture, so what I was not asking the first salon for was not the impossible by any means! Jordan listened to everything I wanted, gave me all my options on color correction and cut correction, keeping in mind what I had originally asked for at the first salon.
I can’t even believe the miracle she pulled off! My color is better than I could have asked for had it not even been a color correction. As for the cut, she took the mess I had gotten at the first salon and turned it into the almost identical haircut I had originally asked for.
If you had seen what Jordan was up against, you’d be as amazed with the outcome as I was!

Came in last minute, so happy with the service I received! Erick was wonderful I couldn’t have asked for my hair any other way.

Needed a haircut since I was overdue. Split ends weren’t going to fix themselves. I went over to my usual location to get a trim without an appointment, but they were booked solid for 2 hours. I was tight on time, since my mom was watching my kids and needed to be back within a certain time frame.
So, whipped out the Unilocal app to help a sister out. This place had a solid 5 stars. In my old ‘hood, too. I gave them a call & they were able to squeeze me in in 15 min. Excellent.
I was met with some friendly faces at the counter. Not the usual huffiness and snootyness I would occasionally get from a salon when they are busy with customers. I was offered coffee or water. This is good service, so far.
My hair «artist» (I say that because she really is), was Stephanie. She had beautiful short blue hair (it may change when you see her, though). She had a great demeanor about her, and was very easy to talk to. I didn’t have a particular style I wanted done, just something to clean up my split ends and easy to manage. I was very happy with the end result. I trusted her with her creativity & got a new haircut that updated my look.
I have found my new salon! Yay! Thanks again, Stephanie!

I actually consider myself more of a client of Anna, who has had a station here for a few years. They offer a nice array of different hair products, some of which Anna has recommended and I’ve purchased. The place is very clean and the staff here is always friendly and willing to offer a water or coffee while you wait for your appointment. That’s all I got.

Went for a haircut and color. Called beforehand to check price for color and they said 85. At the end of my visit it went to 100 for the color and 45 dollars for the cut (just to take off an itch-​no style just some mousse at the end). She charged more because she used more color she said, but really she colored my roots dark brown and my ends using semi perm dark brown. Don’t understand why it would be more– it’s not like she colored my hair twice. I also didn’t like that she tells me when I’m already paying. Would I go there again– no too expensive for my taste and I don’t like it when they add extra hidden costs. The salon has a lot of stylists but some are by commission and the other rent their chair. Probably better if you’re already familiar with the stylist. Should have read the reviews not recommended…

This is my second year coming to Nicole Snider (Walsh), so clearly I’m more than satisfied with her work! I’m a natural blonde with flimsy, thin hair, so I have appreciated how she has kept my hair thick, strong, long and vibrant for so long! She always takes the time to explain to me how to take care of my hair and answer any of my questions. If you want friendly, professional service with excellent care. You’ve found your salon!

I booked an appointment for a professional blow dry with hair phases today and Ceci was my hairstylist. She did a great job and I left completely satisfied with the outcome. Her blow dry was just the right texture and volume I wanted. She is a professional hairstylist and so friendly. I will certainly call her for my next appointment.

It was my daughters first haircut !!! Amazing job I was so nervous but ALEX did such an amazing job !! I could not be any more excited about the way came out she understood I didn’t want to take too much off and was very good and nice with my daughter because usually Mia freaks out but she didn’t with Alex ! So thank you so very very much Alex!!! Definitely coming back here!

Can you say HEALTHY?! Omg my hair! I loved my first visit to this salon. I have had terrible experiences before with getting my hair (which was down to my rear) getting cut too short and Cecilia did an amazing job. I really appreciated how she listened to what I wanted and took the time to cut my hair little by little. She’s awesome and the price was great! She was super sweet calmed my nerves and made for great. This is my new salon! Thanks guys!

Not impressed with this salon.
I stumbled upon it through Unilocal two weeks ago. I had dyed my hair pink for some crazy reason and after a week I really regretted it.
So I sought out for the hair I always wanted, an ombré. I’m a blond naturally but really love dark hair, I know you always want what you can’t have.
With that being said I decided to try Hair Phases Salon for my dream ombré. My stylist was a sweet girl named Zoe, whom is semi new to the salon.
So I told Zoe what I wanted and after about an hour of her deciding what route she was going to take to give me my dream hair, we got to coloring.
Prior to the dying Zoe was trying to talk me out of getting permanent dye in my hair for the brown. I had exhausted all of my efforts in reassuring Zoe that I knew I did in fact want the permanent hair dye. I prefer myself as a brunette!
In the end; what I wanted didn’t matter to her because she still stuck with the semi-​permanent hair dye.
I’m not going to lie, I was pretty annoyed. Here I am giving up one of my two days off, time I could be with my baby & giving Zoe money to get the hair style I want and she refused to give it to me.
Generally I would’ve walked out of there and said never mind but what compelled me to stick around was Zoe saying that if after we dye it and I love it, I can go back to her and she would put the permanent dye in my hair FREE of charge.
I really didn’t want to give up another weekend to do it all over again but I needed to get rid of this pink hair, so the process began!
5 hours, $ 200 and a brown stained face later…
We were done!
My hair came out really nice, the contrast of dark chocolate brown and beige blond was exactly what I wanted. Zoe and I traded contact info and I jokingly (but seriously) made a comment about how I would be seeing her soon for the PERMANENT dye.
After two days of trying to savor my beautiful new do I finally washed my hair. Without fail the brown was noticeably shades lighter and you could see LINES of where it wasn’t blended correctly.
So I’m pretty bummed and contact Zoe around the weekend, she tells me to come in the following weekend (aka today) to go get that permanent dye.
As I get ready this morning to dedicate another Sunday in Zoe’s salon chair, I decide to text her just to confirm the appointment would be free as she had mentioned during my first visit.
I didn’t hear back from her for a while and 30 minutes before my appointment I get a text from Zoe saying that she is going to charge me $ 80…
I turned my ass back around so quick.
To make such a long story longer, when you are not only dedicating a whole day to someone as well as paying $ 200 or even $ 40 whatever the price, you should get what you are paying for.
Instead I got fed some bullshit and paid $ 200 for what looks like a box dye ombré.

Kelly Espinosa has been doing my hair for years. I moved up north recently and attempted to find another stylist, but was without luck.
I travel over 6 hours to come see her and have her maintain my Blonde/​grey hair. She’s super sweet and always willing to wrestle with my crazy heavy curls. And is always able to attain the colors I love my hair to be, no breakage!
I’d highly recommend her!

First time here.
I made an appointment for a haircut on Saturday 10am.
I didn’t make an appointment with a specific stylist.
I just took whoever is available and luckily I got Heidi as my new stylist because she is awesome!
Heidi gave me a haircut. I wanted bangs and she did it perfectly! She was very professional and friendly. She listens to what I want and gives great suggestions.
Saturday– haircut $ 45 includes wash and blow dry.
Sunday– went back to get my hair styled for a wedding. $ 30 wash and blow-​dry not included.
Also, Heidi takes into account if customer is on a schedule which is great!
FYI: It’s better if you make an appointment directly to the stylist you want because you’ll get more for what you paid for than booking through the salon because their service prices are set.
I highly recommended Heidi if you’re looking for a good hair dresser.
