One of the best wineries in Ramona. Eric is the owner, winemaker(he recently hired an assistant), and pours the wine in the tasting room. The tasting room is located in his house which over looks the Ramona Valley. A tasting is $ 12, which includes the glass. Eric likes to blend different grapes and vintages to get an assortment of different flavors. Each wine during your tasting has a distinct difference from the previous wine. I believe he has over 22 different wines currently available. This allows him to change his wine tasting weekly!!! I’ve brought friends and family to visit Eric, everyone has enjoyed their experience and has bought at least one bottle. My wife and I are members because of the wonderful customer service, different varieties of wines, and the weekly changes in tastings.

I’ve been on a Ramona winery kick lately and my sister and I decided to check this one out. We were greeted warmly by the owner, Eric, who runs the tasting room. It was a nice cozy room, with a fireplace and comfortable seating. There is ample seating outside as well with a beautiful view from the large deck. Tastings($ 12.00) include six samples and a souvenir wine glass to remember the trip. Eric was very personable as well as knowledgeable about the wines which made the experience even more enjoyable. The tastings included two whites, one rose, and 3 reds. I enjoyed all the wines a lot, but my favorite three were the Classic Red, Red Coyote 911 and the Cabernet Sauvignon. We had such a good experience, we are now wine club members, and we were even able to get the first shipment for November. We got to try the Dos Rojos as well which become my favorite. For a nice winery with good wines, a good view and good people, this is the place.

Ive grown bored of the Temecula Wineries, and all the wineries north of Temecula up to LA. I searched out wineries in Ramona because Ive heard of that area is up and coming. Ive come here a few times. Its by far the best establishment in the area. Its a 1.75hr drive for me… not close… but its worth the drive. Eric is the owner, hes always there and educates you in every way. They just opened up a new tasting room. The only place I have enjoyed a Chardonnay Desert wine from. Ive never seen such wine until I went here in 2013. I get a bottle every time I visit. The Angelica desert wine pairs extremely well with chocolate, great for romantic setting. They mail wine to you and have a club I believe. If you are looking for something new, some great wine, and want to get out of town for a day then you should try Lenora. You will not be disappointed.

A must if you are coming to Ramona. The tasting room and full covered patio with views overlooking the Ramona Valley and Lenora’s vineyard are spectacular. The wine is one of the best you will have! With many award-winning bottles that will leave you breathless and urning for more. You won’t be disappointed with this find in Ramona on your wine tasting adventure.

I highly recommend Lenora Winery. It is a charming friendly winery, with great wines in a relaxing atmosphere overlooking the Santa Maria Valley in Ramona. The wines are magnificent. From a red dinner wine to a chilled white or Rose, to a dessert wine, all are excellent. I particularly enjoy the Merlot, Merlot Rose and the Ruby Angelica paired with dark chocolate candy for dessert. Eric the owner is friendly and accommodating. And now that the tasting room has moved to the house overlooking the valley his charm and friendliness are accentuated by the wonderful view.

Followed the great reviews to this winery, September 2013 and it lived up to the great reviews! So glad we put this one on our list of the day because it was by far our favorite. Not a fancy tasting room, but who needs that when you have great wine!(our group took several bottles home) Will definately visit Lenora again!

Gotta love a trip out to the country for fresh air and great wine! If you haven’t gone out to visit with Eric and really experience a great local winery then you’re missing out, love this place.

Found the Lenora Winery postcard in our resort’s lobby. Since it was close, we decided to give it a try. Our GPS took us on some deadened routes, but soon, got us on the right track. We arrived a little past 10:00 and The owner greeted us. He was friendly and knowledgable about his wines. Surprising my wife and I loved all 5 wines that were served. She and I have different tastes, and I don’t care for oak tasting wines. However, the four reds that were served were excellent to my limited taste buds. I ended up purchasing a mixed case of all 5 wines.

Came in using a living social coupon. 5 acre vineyard with tasting room. Owner personally running tasting room. Room is inside porch but is hung with shades. He has a sprinkler outside to mist when it gets hot. It was super hot but was ok inside the room. Owner was super nice and didn’t mind that we brought our kids and had a nice day trip. From downtown San Diego it is 45 minutes or so each way. Wine was great. 5 tasting flight is 10 dollars and you get to keep glass. First was a Chardonnay that is from up north that has not been oaked. I am not a Chardonnay fan but this was excellent. 2nd was a Muscat wine with the most incredible bouquet and taste. Not super sweet but a great flavor. Reds started with a Grenache which was nice and mellow. Fourth was a Cabernet franc. Last is the ruby Angelique, a port style dessert wine which was excellent and I love port. Great, small local vineyard. Would definitely return again and support my local vineyard.

The tasting room for Lenora Winery(formerly known as Ramona Vintners Cellars) is located on Main Street in Ramona – just on the way out of town as you’re about to head up the hill towards Wynola and Julian. We fell in love with Lenora wines on our first«local wine tasting» day trip over a year ago and have been back twice since then. The wines here are an amazingly good deal. The well-balanced Lenora Chardonnay(made from grapes in the Buellton area – and that tastes like a Buellton Chardonnay) sells for under $ 14, although we’ve tasted similar wines that sell for over $ 20. They have a great Cab that sells for $ 16(and that some wineries would likely charge over $ 30 for), and several fun red blends(Santa Maria Red and Dos Rojos). The Merlot here has a bit of an earthy quality, which is much more our style than some of the overly fruit-forward Merlots that you might find elsewhere. We have yet to leave Lenora with purchasing fewer than 6 bottles. The gal who works in the tasting room on weekends is a lot of fun, and we’ve spent over an hour talking with her on two of our visits. Sadly, on our most recent visit, we learned that winery founder Frank Karlsson had passed away, and that the winery is being sold to another owner. Hopefully, the new owners can maintain the quality of Lenora’s wines.
