The pizza is pretty tasty. I got three pizzas for a family get together. The biggest hit was the chicken garlic gormet.

This place has the worst customer service! I called to complain to the manager and her attitude was appalling! I didn’t get the waitress’ name but I was very detailed in my description of her yet the manager had no clue who I was talking about. With the manager’s lack of customer service, it’s no wonder the waitress lacked professionalism as well. The food isn’t even worth mentioning. DONOT waste your money here. Go somewhere else where the customer is appreciated!

I wasn’t impressed with the food. I had seen in the Ramona sentinel that they where best for best Italian or something so i decided to try it. the pizza was a little better than costco pizza. 3.99 a slice. I rather go to Mama Rosas. I also had the garlic bread. It was like i bought french bread at stator bros and put butter and garlic powder on it. Not impressed. I may give them another chance and order something else. The customer service isn’t that great either. But maybe the 2 times i came in the older lady behind the counter wasn’t having a good day. The times i have been there she just seemed like she didn’t want to be there.

We put off going to Amici for a couple years — I’m not a big fan of Italian food and I read the mixed reviews about service. Well, I’m glad we went. Pizza and torpedo sandwiches are pretty yummy! I particularly liked the sandwich bread — and I’m not a a big bread person. Had a nice salad, too. Not OMG amazing, but quite good. I wonder about the owner’s «tough guy» persona. She’s actually been nice to us — though we probably order quickly without a lot of fuss. I can see she gets impatient at times and I am guessing she might not as be as nice to us if we took up her time thinking about what we wanted to order… We’ve eaten there once, and did takeout once. Solid 4 stars in my opinion.

Way overrated, bad customer service and bland food, this place has really gone downhill since Jake was working there… Keep looking there is better Italian food in town.

Food would be a five but service a 1 it evened out to a three. To get started the food is AMAZING! If you get the torpedo sandwiches, you’ll love them. Garlic bread comes with your meal. But OMG the service was a disaster. The lady at the counter(the owner) is a grouch. We waited 15 minutes for our to go order and then she asked«are u ready» she apparently had not put in our order. We waited a total of 40 minutes. She is short and rude. I would say go if you want great food but don’t go if you want any type of friendly service. The severs were fine but the owner is down right rude. She has been the 4 times we went there. She should be in the back making pizza!

Stopped by on Black Friday to try and grab some dinner with Mum and Wee One around 5pm and were super disappointed to find them closed(–1 star). I tried again today and grabbed a slice each of their 4 pizzas from the case: cheese, pepperoni, the works, and veggie. The cheese was pretty freaking delicious, but the other 3 were just good. I’ll be back to try some of the other things, like the chicken parmigian sandwich before I decide to replace my normal pizza place with this one. I have also now tried the meatball sub and it is pretty tasty and pretty freaking big(that’s what she said). Definitely good for dinner today and lunch tomorrow.

If we want some good pizza and salad, this is the only place we go. Crust on the pizza is always tasty and has a great flavor. Their marinara sauce that comes with the bread sticks is to die for. I could drink it! And the Antipasto salad is very hearty with a great vinaigrette dressing. Decently priced for size/portion(can’t have the best pizza place is town go out of business). Food tastes homemade and is consistent. Looks like I need to try the Lasagna next!

On the way home from visiting the creatures of Galleta Meadows in Borrego Springs my wife and I randomly picked this place to eat. That it was pretty busy with a long line to order didn’t bother us because we needed the time to review the menu. We ordered a large House Salad($ 5.95), a slice of Pepperoni Pizza($ 3.75), and Spaghetti with meat sauce($ 9.95) & meat balls($ 3). Total bill with tax was $ 24.46. We chose a table from the three nicely decorated and very clean dining areas. While awaiting the order I visited the multi-sex restroom to wash my hands and noted it was clean and neat. Returning to seating, the food had yet to arrive. After, what I found to be somewhat an unreasonable wait, the salad was finally delivered by a courteous young lady. The salad was large enough for two with fresh greens, and surprisingly tasty tomatoes(I’m picky about tomatoes). My wife wished there had more dressing available. Okay, we finished off the salad and waited… and waited. Then waited a bit more. And after some more waiting the pizza and spaghetti arrived. The pizza slice was of good size, heavy on the cheese but a just bit light on the sauce and only had about half the expected amount of pepperoni. Overall good without being special. The spaghetti was enough to serve two. The pasta was properly cooked but the sauce was quite mediocre, as if from a can, and there was not nearly enough. Overall, it just makes the acceptable level, but should we be in the area again, we would explore other possibilities.

Just had the Veggie Calzone and added pepperoni and it was amazing. Called in my order and picked it up to go. It was hot and ready when I got there. I didn’t dine in so I can’t say much for that end of it but good food is coming out of that kitchen for sure.

We had a group of 11 people and 2 children. The servers were very nice and accommodating. The food, amazingly good! This place is a nice change of pace for the quaint town of Ramona.

We love the food here! It is a family favorite. Kids meals are a hearty portion at a great price. Order at the counter and then find a seat. Sometimes the lady taking the orders can seem a bit short. But it doesn’t diminish the overall experience. I love the salads and the blue cheese dressing is the absolute best. I recommend this place to everyone who wants really good Italian food at a reasonable price.

Visiting Dunkin and family wanted to eat. Unilocaled me Amici and this place did not disappoint. Has that Ramona vibe and the food was pretty darn good. We had the fettucini, some spaghetti, pizza, cheese and regular garlic bread. Very busy with a lot of people coming by and ordering. Enjoyed this and so will you b

I come here for the delicious food! Yes, it could be more personable, but I am such a fan of the torpedo and the California salad I come back. It would be nice to have a bit more friendliness though.

Well you should ask why I am giving one star because you can not give less on Unilocal! I have been here numerous times. I love the food. But, tonight is a Tuesday they’re very slow for a week night. My boyfriend had to go ask after 45 minutes what happened to our appetizer which was only(cheese bread). That should not take that long to cook. After he asked suddenly 15 mins later it came to the table. We waited 30 more minutes for our Lasagna and a Calzone to come out. They said«sorry it’s our new system and a Monday». I am not sure that the«new system» has anything to do with cooking the food! Even more frustrating that the table behind us received there food before us! You would think the owner lady who took our order would at least apologize. No, instead she just slapped our appetizer on the table and walked away! Not impressed with the customer service… Very disappointed! I don’t think we will be back! We will have to go support another local Ramona business!

Wow, I just realized that I had not written a review of Amici’s. I want to commend Theresa D for taking the reviews to heart and working towards improving the customer service. The change has been very positive and apparent. Amici’s has really good food. The prices are fair. My wife and my favorite is the lasagna with meat sauce, with a sausage on the side. Some times we’ll opt for a chopped salad as well. The boys tend to go for the meat lovers’ pizza. All of it is very good. Quite often, there will be left overs for lunch, with everything but the bread being good the next day. The pizza is pretty good, but not my personal best. I would give it 4 stars. However, it is the best pizza to be had in Ramona.
