Would give no stars if i could. I love Waffle House and frequent the different locations. At this particular one, I came at about 11:15am on 7÷8÷15, a Wednesday. Not a busy day or time and there weren’t many people in there at all. The drinks came out promptly and we ordered as soon as they came. About 15 minutes later, the waitress came over and apologized for the wait and said it was crazy back there in the kitchen. We could SEE that that was not true. After another 5 minutes, we finally heard her calling in our food. We told her not to bother and walked out. I’ve never waited so long at a Waffle House before and am usually in and out in the time it took for me to leave hungry and mad here. I will never return to this location and highly recommend someone get this garbage crew some better training.

I have been to this @WaffleHouse a few times. This location is honestly that old with how it looks. There was food all over the floor in the kitchen, and the dining room could have been swept. There were 3 visible employees and 3 customers, 1 at the bar, and a couple dining at a booth. One of the employees was sitting down on his phone, while 1 was cooking and taking orders, the second, not sure exactly what she was doing. So, with what little business they had, there was no excuse for them to be that dirty. I could understand why they had a sanitation grade of 90.0 by looking at the place. And it takes a lot in Wake County to get a score that low. As far as the food, all I had was a waffle. The waffle was hot, and it did melt the butter. There was no problems with how it taste. Just have to make sure I keep my eyes from looking around at the dirty establishment while I eat. #339

This place used to be almost an every morning visit for me when I started coming to Raleigh to work. A Waffle House coffee to go with two eggs and hashbrowns. At first this staff was pretty awesome. They just had to deal with the thugs, drunken club patrons from Black Tie(before it closed), panhandlers, drive-by shootings(two windows and a door during separate incidents during my patronage), fights in the parking lot(one in particular involving most of a woman’s scalp with weave in one parking space left as evidence and guarded by a Raleigh PD officer) and other assorted riff-raff from the hotel across the street. This place was like the Wild West but set in a modern urban area. Half of the customers you could easily assume went armed as evidenced by the vast amount of stabbings and shootings that occurred at Black Tie just down the road. I stopped going to this place after one particular drive-by shooting that had preceeded my arrival and came from New Bern Ave by a passing car. I had one waffle from here. Every day the waffle makers were crammed with the old leavings of previous cooked waffles to the point they couldn’t properly close. Half of the mornings the cook never showed so the waitresses had to fill in as short-order cooks. The bathrooms looked like someone potrayed a sprinker on auto-spin while urinating. But the eggs and hashbrowns? On point… plus I could watch them make it and retrieve the hashbrowns from the refrigerator. I wasn’t about to gamble on anything else. Half of the time they were out of something or multiple somethings. Cups, plates, take-out dishes, silverware etc etc. When I needed a large coffee to go they’d be nice and give me two small cups and only charge me for a small cup. Two stars overall just because the staff that was working here some years ago tried so very hard to outdo the patrons and the environment. Once they gave up and quit… it all went to hell. Happy… forget it.

HELLHOLE!!! This place is a roach infested dump! I seen a cockroach in the bathroom, that was disgusting. I would’ve been better off to go in the parking lot. U also need a bullet proof vests to b in there. The patrons, oh god! This place should just burn down. I feel sorry for the poor roaches. Just a disgusting place!!! Oh! There IS a reason y this place closes @ 11pm &12am unlike every other WH that are 24hrs, the drunken thugs and hood-rats that cause trouble there.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. On a Saturday morning at 9:30, we sat down at an empty table and waited 15 minutes to receive ZERO service. The ‘manager’ cleaned a table beside us and sat a family 10 minutes after we sat down, and they got service immediately. WTF?! The restaurant was filthy & there were 9 employees standing around chatting & playing on their phones. Wow. just wow.

Avoid this place at all cost. First time waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our order. But we gave it a second try. Our mistake. Took our order right away and had to retake it 2 more times and still didn’t get it right. Had to ask twice to get my coffee. We won’t. Be back

This is a great Waffle House. Service was fast and courteous. I had the ribeye steak dinner. The salad, prepared by Trina, that came with the dinner, was nothing short of awesome.

Decent early morning breakfast before hitting the road. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. The staff seemed like they really wanted to kibbitz with each other and not spend time on the customers. They brought my waffle and I had to get my waitress’s attention to bring syrup. The same again when I needed a coffee refill. I also saw them mess up two other customers’ orders, making grits instead of home fries for one customer and missing the dry toast for another. My waffle was cooked properly; the eggs-over-medium were great and had the proper amount of grease on them. The home fries were smothered and covered as I requested, with crunchy bits and the outside and lighter on the inside. Excellent. The background music seemed to start and stop randomly and too loudly. I don’t know if that’s intentional.

This had to be one of the WORST outings I have EVER had! After I sat down, It took the staff over 10 minuets to come and just acknowledge me. After I was greeted it then took about 5 minuets for my order to be taken. After my order was taken, I received my watered down coffee. A few minuets later I received my order. My order(Waffle, bacon, 2 hard fried sunny side up eggs, grits and toast) was presented to me at room temperature, at best. The waffle and grits both require butter, for me. The butter just sat on top of the food, not melting! How does butter not melt on hot food? When it’s not hot! I took a photo of my cold food… The«Manager» came over and gave me a 2 or 3 minuet dissertation on why I can’t take a picture in «Waffle House». I said it is just my food that I am photographing. «NOPHOTOS!», she exclaimed. «There is a sign at the door that says not picture taking», she says. I just look at her because now other patrons have begun to look in on what’s going down at my booth. I told her,“Okay”. The manager looked back at me as she walked away as to say«I got my eyes on you». I looked at the patrons that were still looking my way as to say«can you believe that». A couple were shaking there heads, as they turned back to their meals. The manager did not even ask«How your order» or or seem to care about it. I tried to get my servers attention but I was unnoticeable, I suppose. It took just under 10 minuets for me to be recognized and attended to. I mention that my food was not hot and I showed that it did not even melt the butter. The sever rebutted, «Why didn’t you tell me this earlier!» I mentioned, «I tried to get your attention, you just didn’t seem to be paying me any attention». «What do you want me to do about it?!?», she exclaimed with a disgruntle look upon her Mug. I asked, «What can you do about it?» then she just walked off. I though she was going to come back or go get the«Manager» but to my chagrin she did not come back at all. Meanwhile, there was a table behind me where there order was not right at all in the food brought out to them. Needless to say, they were not pleased and they were exceedingly vocal about it. The lady told the staff to «come get this MESS form in front of me!». The ladies dinning companion asked«are you gone eat breakfast?», she replied«NOT…FROM…HERE! …and I’m ret to go!» The companion said, «well I’m hungry and I gone eat mine». The staff member finally came back with my bill. I looked at her, she looked at me, I looked at the bill then back at her, she looked at the bill then back at me then said«What?!?». I said«I cannot eat cold food». «You should have told me that!», she said. «I told you the butter is not even melting on my waffle», I said. The waitress just walked away. Upon returning to the booth, she came back and said«I’ll take care of the bill» then walked off. I will not be returning here anytime soon or maybe ever. You can look at the picture(that I was not suppose to be taking) and judge for yourself.

Yay! Waffle House! Sometimes it’s what you needed after a rough night. There’s really nothing more to be said about Waffle House.
