A beautiful community in an incredibly convenient location. Easy access to I40, 540, and US70. Centrally located between Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and RTP. Close proximity to the airport without all the overhead air traffic. Great price for being an award winning property which boasts the best amenity package in the Brier Creek area. Tons of additional security features and lots of extras you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

My husband and I moved in to a 2BR, 2 bath apartment about a year and a half ago. We had settled on another apartment near Park West already, but we happened to drive by this one and decided it would be the last one before we made our final choice. During the tour, we were really impressed by the indoor basketball court, pool area with outdoor fire place, and the apartments were very nice(awesome dark cabinets, new appliances, etc). This was our place. I will say, as experienced renters, we knew the some of the things to look for. A. Don’t sign a lease without seeing the place you will be renting. That way you can get a feel for any previous owners’ bad habits/pets/etc. We also rented on the highest floor so we wouldn’t have to deal with the sounds of walking above us(at the expense of walking up stairs… but cardio is good, right? lol) Finally, we’ve taken advantage of the guest suite offered by the Jamison several times. This is something that I’ve never heard of an apartment complex to offer. They rent out a 1BR apartment to leasers for their guests to utilize at $ 100/night. We held Thanksgiving dinner at our apartment and those we didn’t have room for in our apartment simply rented that space with a queen bed, day bed and a pull out sofa. Super convenient. :) That said, we’ve had a positive experience thus far. Its been quiet 96% of the time. They tend to do maintenance work during business hours so if you work from home or work irregular hours, take that into consideration as it can get noisy then. The maintenance crew is very polite and courteous, as are the rest of the Jamison leasing staff. The only negative I have to report is the pricing, which is a little much. But considering all the issues that we were willing to pay a little more.

I have lived at several apartments in the past few years, due to frequent relocating for work. This was by far my least favorite. I came to see the place and got a tour. I was impressed, the common areas are nice, the pool seemed well maintained, there was a gate. etc etc. However, I only stayed one year. This is a place that sucks you in and once you sign a lease you realize how duped you were. The cabinetry, the windows, the dishwasher etc are all such poor quality. The gate that is suppose to make you feel safer is easy to walk around, there is an actual walkway. The pool is nice but you will have random questionable looking people who clearly do not live there ask for you to let them in into the basketball court while your are trying to relax. The hallways always had people smoking marijuana or cigarettes. There were several car break-ins while I lived there and peoples radios were stolen. Lastly as you can tell by their professionally taken pictures the living room is carpeted with a very light beige carpet. When I moved out, all of my security deposit was taken plus an additional 60 dollars for carpet replacement due to stains. I have had the carpet professionally cleaned, I have never had a single party in that place nor do I wear shoes in my house. They claimed that there was a stain they could not take out so they had to replace the whole thing. I did have a cat and I was okay with them taking my pet deposit but they took everything and wanted more. Mind you my cat was well trained and I have lived in several other places with her, Despite me saying that normal wear and tear on a very light carpet is expected they did not listen and they sent me a bill. Most of the staff is nice except the assistant property manager. She was almost always rude. Honestly, I am not writing this because they took my deposit but more for the actual reason I moved out, overpriced, unsafe and poor quality and people should know. Also please see the hidden review by Dave K. who has a similar testament.

The complex, from a bird’s eye view is very appealing; however, we left after 12 months. Our apartment reeked of smoke from the neighbors living beneath us. The dog park was smelly and filthy from inconsiderate tenants. The dumpster was inadequate– many time garbage was simply tossed in the walkway. Several car break-ins happened during our brief stay. Though advertised as a gated community, breaching the gate was very easy. The water pressure was minimal and the cabinetry flimsy. We paid $ 1,240 per month and felt that was excessively priced.
