Most of the dental hygienist there are good, except for one. Without naming names this particular hygienist, who was not my regular, was like something from a bad horror movie. All I had was a simple cleaning, and everything she did I felt pain! Where did she go the school? The dentist himself is not much better. He did a horrible job on a simple filling! My mouth was tingling and painful for 3 weeks after a simple filling, and I’ve had that procedure done elsewhere. Never had that happen before. To make matters worse, he had such an arrogant attitude when I questioned why that was happening. I thought something was wrong with my mouth so after two weeks of discomfort, I called to complain about still having discomfort, and they referred me to an endodontist. He was very polite and patient with me, but that visit cost me $ 150 out of pocket! The filling itself was poorly done because it hasn’t even been two months, and it loosened, and came out altogether. I refuse to go back!

Absolutely Amazing! Let’s start there. My SO hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years because of a very bad experience he had many years ago. He knew he had to go to a dentist so he researched and found Dr. Williamson. One of the main reasons that he chose Dr. Williamson was because his office offered sedation services. That was over seven years ago. The team at the office is very professional — from the office staff to the hygienists and Dr. Williamson. I trust him completely with any advice that he willingly offers and you can tell that Dr. Williamson and his team thoroughly care about each patient(I’ve heard him spend over 20 minutes talking with a patient about upcoming procedures due to an accident to answer all of their questions and offer comfort). The team is very knowledgeable. We now live over two hours away and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. We just take time off and drive to Raleigh. Now, stop reading and go schedule an appointment.

Had a crown done by this dentist less than a year ago, hope it lasts. However, I thought he was very arrogant. When I complained to him about my mouth feeling weird he said he had nothing to do with what he was doing… Ha! Right on the same spot…

While I have a hard time giving the dentist five stars, I have no problem enthusiastically recommending this practice. I chose Dr. Williamson’s practice because it is conveniently located in Boylan Heights, close to where I live, and because my insurance covered my visits.(Note that it seems that Dr. Williamson himself doesn’t accept most insurance, though. I see another dentist at the practice.) I have a small mouth, and going to the dentist is not the greatest experience for me. That said, I can tell you that the staff here does everything possible to make sure you are comfortable and feeling okay. The space itself is an old renovated house, which makes both the waiting area and the rooms where the dental work is performed very homey and nice. They do offer sedation dentistry if you’re especially nervous, but I didn’t opt for it when getting some fillings earlier in December. Even without the sedation, my experience was that the dentist and hygenist did all the right things to make sure I was okay – introducing a hand signal I could use if I needed them to stop, frequently checking in to see if everything was fine, and verbally walking through the procedure for me when something new was introduced. Unilocal’s rating is right on in this case – yay, I am definitely a fan!
