They are always very friendly, the food is great and they are fast! One of my go to spots for a quick meal!

Come and Enjoy. Pleasant staff. Wednesday is the Indian buffet. Don’t forget to ask the owner lady what she’s cooking for herself — I always ask for that(it’s not in the menu, shhh…) I love their variation and enjoy their Mexican delicacy as well.

Went to Plaza today for lunch and had Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer, and as a side dish had a vegetable spring roll. The food was outstanding. Server was friendly and chef’s cooking is incredible. This is a must try place to eat.

Just finalized eating a taco salad bowl. It’s OK, place looks kind of sketch, and the food was not very flavorful. I would choose many other places for lunch if I was downtown, but it’s okay in a pinch. Also, the servings are extremely small and they will up charge you for everything.

Great food at an affordable price. I tried the butter chicken and kofta curry. Both were delicious and the quantity is filling. A must try place for Indian food in downtown Raleigh.

Indisch und mehr Stadt Centrum Kleine Lunch Gelegenheit downtown. Zweimal der Woche Indisch. Pannini, andere Sandwiches, plus warme Mahlzeiten. Ist halt Cafeteria-style… nichts besonderes. Portionen sind OK, Preise relative guenstig fuer Mittagsessen. Bedienung sehr Freundlich.

Dosa. That’s all I need to say. Any place that can make a true dosa that is delicious and cheap is a great spot. Sadly they only make dosa a couple of times a year, but there is always an interesting Indian or American dish to be had here. Not only is the food tasty but the price is great for downtown Raleigh. It’s hard to see but it’s worth a stop.

This review is strictly based on the Wednesday Indian menu. It is fabulous. Different entrée selections every week; some spicy, some not, some vegetarian, some not. Lots of sides, including naan, paratha and samosas. The entrees are spicy and delicious, and the portions are generous. I would go every week if I could.

We went to the Plaza Café with friends on New Years Eve. It was our suggestion since we’ve eaten there before. However, this time was a disaster. Our child needed to use the potty and we discovered the door to the restroom was locked and that we needed to request a key from management. We did and were told that we needed to show a receipt for a $ 5 purchase before they’d unlock the restroom.(Our party was already waiting in the very slow line). We finally get our receipt, and by now our child is crying, and they unlock the door… and then the cashier proceeds to wait outside until business is finished and lock the door back. No wonder it takes so long to get service here, when the cashier has to serve as both cashier and bathroom guard. The swedish meatballs were okay, however, our daughter wouldn’t eat the macaroni. I tried some — I would not eat that macaroni either, and I’m willing to eat a lot of things. I’m not a big fan of being treated like a criminal for merely wanting to use a restroom. We won’t be back.

I normally skip this place because they don’t have too many vegan/healthy options– although with the affordable prices and friendly service I can see why most people would like it. But recently they began offering Punjabi Indian food on Wednesdays(and weekends, I believe) — and it’s very tasty and healthy. The daal special was excellent!
