I was in town solo for business and was looking for something nearby. I found this little gem using Unilocal.I love Mediterranean food and I tried the lamb platter. It was delicious. Generous portion size too. The owners are very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back on a future trip to town.

A pleasant surprise! Ordered the vegetarian platter and asked if they had hot sauce– the owner gave me a homemade sauce made with poblano, habanero and cayenne which was delicious. The falafel was great, the hummus perfect, the salad crisp and tasty. Portion was decent – appropriate for lunch. Daughter’s chicken kabobs were delicious too. Also, the owner was very nice and personable. This is my new favorite of its kind in Raleigh.

We had heard about this place from some neighbors on Nextdoor and they were raving about how great this was so we figured we would give it a shot. They did not disappoint! The portions are huge and piping hot. We had the mixed grill plate and the lamb gyro plate. Each came with rice, salad, hummus, and pita bread points. Every protein was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

After seeing so many great reviews here my wife and I finally decided to try this restaurant out on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a nice little family owed location. We had been searching a good place that served Kafta Kabobs after one of our favorite places in Raleigh closed. This placed definitely didn’t disappoint. You can taste the freshness in each dish, it was very authentic. My wife ordered the chicken kabob platter and I order the mixed grill platter. Both items were great and we have visited this location several times since. The owners and employees and very friendly and everything is made fresh. The location is kind of hidden in the shopping center but it’s across from the Lifeway store. Enjoy! :-)

Come for the food, come back again and again for the customer service! Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in Raleigh. The owners were quick, welcoming, and personable. They took extra time to ask us how the food was and absolutely went the extra mile. The food was amazing and their homemade hot sauce was incredible! We found our new favorite Mediterranean spot!

Great spot for middle eastern food. I had the gyro platter and my fiancée had the chicken kebab sandwich. Both were excellent and flavorful. Pita was warm and delicious. I’ll be coming back soon!

Very good Mediterranean food; first time; takeout on a whim. The vegetables were seasoned nicely and the meats were tender. Definitely worth a try!

This place is another gem on capital boulevard. I went to Monapita Grill for lunch after my friend read reviews of this place. The business is family owned and people are very sweet. They help you out with menu items and are courteous. The place is really a good option for to go Mediterranean food. I had chichken shawarma, with sides of falafel and hummus. The shawarma was tasty, filling, with right amount of greens(not just filled with lettuce). The bread was really soft and tasted fresh. The falafels are definitely best in town. Crisp, less oily and granular(The chickpeas are not mashed to form smooth paste. Its coarse instead which I liked alot). Hummus was rich and yummy. The pitas were fresh, soft with right amount of salt and hence didn’t taste bland. I also had a date cookie. It was a cookie with some date filling. Perfect light dessert for lunch. I would like to try out remaining things on their menu and bakhlava so I definitely look forward to visit this place again!

The meat was extremely dry. There was no flavor in the meat. Some of the pictures on Unilocal for this location appeared to be professionally done which can be deceiving. This was false advertisement.

I came here upon good rating from the fellow Unilocalers. My husband and i ordered beef gyro with hummus and pita. Firstly, the meat was fantastically juicy and right off the grill. As for the rest, the flavors were alright and it didnt really outstand the gyros ive had before. It is an alright place if you havent had better. But I do recommend people come here to try it out for themselves and rate it. The environment is nice and small. Service is great.

After reading this all of these positive reviews, I had to give this place a visit. In a nondescript shopping center off of Capital Blvd., Monapita is a gem. My friend and I both ordered the veggie platter. Even at 1:45pm on a Saturday afternoon, there were several customers eating inside and out. In just a few. minutes after placing our order, we were greeted with a plate full of crispy and moist falafel, rich Baba Ghanoush, creamy hummus, fresh tabouli, and warm grilled pita. We quickly inhaled. I would argue this is some of the best falafel in the Triangle. Well seasoned, not too much parsley. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all Mediterranean food fans!

Fresh, authentic Mediterranean food! This restaurant is tucked away in a corner of a little strip mall, but is easily accessible. Has a few tables for outdoor seating. Inside is clean and bright. You order and pick up at the counter. Prices are reasonable. I ordered the veggie plate with babaghanouj, salad, hummus, falafel, and pita points(not what was on the picture on their website which had grape leaves and tabouleh), but it was good nonetheless. Plenty of items to choice from. Great spot.

This place is unassuming but amazing. I love it! I was getting my car fixed next door and found these folks on Unilocal.Everything was super fresh and yummy. They make the hummus in the store. Good for lunch, a snack, or casual dinner. Definitely worth going out of your way to check out.

This place has been tucked back there for 15 months and while I have seen it many times before, I never stopped by. Big mistake. They are wonderfully friendly owners and the hospitality they offer goes above and beyond what is required. Now, in North Raleigh, there are plenty of Mediterranean eateries. In fact, nearby there are Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Greek, and Egyptian spots(or owners). Each culture has a slightly different approach to a somewhat similar American palate-friendly menu. This place, owned by Syrians, nails the falafel better than any other joint I’ve been to in the area. So, I ordered the falafel side along with my standard lamb gyro or chicken pita, and couldn’t have been happier. Great place and looking forward to going again.
